I can't pinpoint why but I dislike the look of lightning in PoE2, i think maybe because it isn't bright enough and fails to flash-illuminate the area, or because it's too monochromatically blue, or because it doesn't strike with a sharp fast attack and a slow fading residual image, the speed seems very static at all stages. I don't like the lightning :(

The endgame may be better because of maps, but in general the zoominess will be as fast as D4. If you don't like D4 you won't like PoE2.
