I wish early act 1 was more replayable. Maybe it's just my restartitus-brand autism, but the first 5~ hours of any given run feel really scripted and boring to me now. There are a lot of objectively correct and wrong ways to approach the first act (rest timings, mandatory pickups like Withers, easy companion approval ticks, etc), and 5e isn't mechanically deep enough for buildcrafting to actually matter until act 2. Feels like the game is best for like 2-3 full playthroughs without restart, then dropping, cause between early access and a few post release playthoughs, I really feel like I've tapped all novelty out of the earlygame. I wish I was having more fun, and I can't tell if it's depression, or if it's the game.

So I noticed something in my recent playthrough. Her entry in Idle Champions says she's 150, but this number is impossible. Minthara has a line in game where she tells you her feelings about Viconia, and how when Minthara was a young woman, Vinconia's betrayal of Lolth and subsequent exile from Menzoberanzan left a profound impression on her. This happened like 200 years ago. Which means Minthara is more like 250 years old, not 150. Doesn't really mean much, but we do have an idea of how old Minthara is if Viconia's exile happened "when she was a young woman", and we know the Idle game is wrong.

Ranger, Rogue, Bard, but other weapons classes can be forced into the role with a background that gives Slight of Hand. Characters can fill multiple roles if needed. Bard can be built for any role, because that's its thing. Warlock is new-age dogshit and strategically oriented players probably shouldn't run it unless they're running a party with multiple hybrid characters, because from a top down perspective, it's an incredibly selfish class, most of what it does is offensive throughput. You typically run builds like Warlock when you have 5th and 6th party slots, which BG3 doesn't have, so you have to pay out the nose in the rest of your party to run one in this game.

My favorite meme build is probably fighter2/wizard10 because you get the fighter's armor proficiencies, Con save proficiency which helps with concentration checks, larger hit dice at the levels that matters most, and spell-action surge-spell is pretty fun. I love the heavy armors in this game so wearing heavy armor while being a spellcaster is fun.You might be thinking "but a Sorc can already spell twice on the same turn without multiclassing", but you see, that would involve being a cringe Sorc nepobaby.I still don't really recommend it though. A wizard wearing robes can easily have 20 ac so it's not like you need heavy armor, and Haste in bg3 is broken and allows you to spell twice on your turn anyway so you don't need to multiclass for Action Surge when you can just chug a haste potion for the same end result. Wizard 12 remains my overall favorite class, with Cleric 12 as a close second. Hell, Cleric 12 even lets you be a full spellcaster wearing heavy armor like we talked about before without multiclassing.

I want to play Abj Wizard because tanking with the Wizard sounds fun, and I want Armor of Agathis to get a lot of value and damage out of it by baiting OAs, so I want to dip 1 in Sorc at some point (Con saves are also a nice plus), but what is the best time to do it? I don't want to delay level 5 because level 3 spells are a big jump, and level 6 allows me to project the Ward wich is a very nice option, is level 7 a good time to do the dip as level 4 spells feel kinda underwhelming to me?
