Did monsters always have a bunch of multi hit attacks? I'm playing rise and I don't remember ever having an issue of counter guarding with the lance and I've been playing since Tri. It's to the point I don't even use the normal counter move anymore and only use the shield backdash because it blocks multi hit attacks.
I really like the look of this monster, but I never played his game. I missed 4th gen. I was hoping him and the other frogs would be in Rise because of the Zamites and the baby Tetsucabra in the hub, but they were skipped over. Looks like they're getting skipped over again in Wilds.

If a monster hit you, you could also "Wirefall" on your Chocobo and drink as many potions as you like. The hitboxes and monster's movesets / movements are also very iffy. Multiple times my attacks should have missed yet it was registered as "hit" anyway This is easily the most casual of Monhun up to date. Really killed my fucking hype
