I went through the many troubles that is overseas shipping and ordered some of those Mario and Peach sticker sets from Ssuregi. Finished DKC. I wasn't worried about collectibles and bonus rooms so my completion is pretty bad. It was fun. Obviously the GBA version is a visual downgrade from the SNES but it still feels like DKC. If I had this version of the game as a kid I don't think I would have been turned off by the visuals. Having a game like that on the go would have been awesome. I think Stop and Go Station was the level that gave me the hardest time. Everything else was okay. Great game. Well i beat Mario Wonder. I got it for Christmas last year and didnt want a full year to pass with it in my backlog.Pretty good game. The raw platforming felt great, i loved the art style and how expressive Mario was. A fine next step to the NSMB formula. Marios new voice is great, kinda already prefer it since he has that young energy.The wonder mechanic was fun, i liked every level having a surprise in it. Although, i do wish they went further and crazier with it. The biggest shocker one was probably the perspective change. But other than that, nothing super insane that blew my mind. They were just neat.Unsure how much end game content i want to do, i should make sure i played every level at least. The extra world, etc. Getting the 3 flower coins / flag pole probably isn’t necessary. I can always return later to do that.But yeah, fun game. I wonder (pun not intended) what the next 2D platformer will be like. Having the Wonder mechanic again might start to get old, unless they really go crazy. Its great to be able to play some Mario tunes. Nintendo Music is a such a good idea, this alone will keep me resubbing the basic subscription. I really like the push to “lifestyle” Nintendo is doing, its like your Nintendo pals dont need to completely leave you even if its time to work. Makes it not as bad. Small Zelda offtopic, but I'm really enjoying A Link Between Worlds... although the whole thing about renting items feels cheap. Items being a slow burn to acquire is part of what makes Zelda so special, getting all items in one go is really underwhelming and quite against the spirit of Zelda...
