I can't know of or account for every reason for people to not respond, but even if you consider some people potentially just missing the poll, that's a pretty serious drop.Combine that with how SC discussions here have been recently, I honestly feel like a number of our SCPs have legit just fucked off or aren't posting anymore. The few summaries that have popped up over the past month or so have gotten minimal engagement and a lot of the engagement that does catch on is just the same flavors of "who cares, this is shit, this idol is shit" and it tends to get handwaved as "haha we're just joking around". I'm not looking to blame anyone in particular, but the attitude and trends of the threads haven't been very good for SC recently and I don't like it because it feels like people aren't posting because of it.

Let's talk about Koito.I’ve got to say, I did not enjoy any of her stories. The reason is not because of her dadcore (or bigbrocore, is that a thing?) nature, but because of how mundane she is. She faced all sorts of difficulties: being scared to speak her mind, loneliness, uncertainty about her future, and not getting popular, etc. These are all good topics. But instead of digging deep and getting to the meat of the matter, the story just glazes over the real issues in a very unsatisfactory way.For instance, at WING, she forged the signature on the paperwork that her parents were supposed to sign as she did not tell her mom that she was going to be an idol. ShinyP and her parents found this out when ShinyP called her parents to ease their concerns. This is a huge issue that Koito needs to address. But the story never explains how Koito confessed to her parents or how her stern mother accepted Koito’s dream of being an idol. Later, we did have a flashback about ShinyP meeting Koito’s mom, and her mother did raise some concerns about whether Koito can juggle between her studies and her job. But really, that’s it. How did Koito confront her parents? We might never know.To make matters worse, all of the takeaways from her stories are the same: the world is not as harsh as Koito thinks it is, and there will always be light at the end of the tunnel. If you read one, you’ve read them all. It is really bland. I am not saying that Koito should be edgy, and the quality of her stories does improve quite a bit when she is with her three friends. She brings necessary balance to that group. But when she is alone, she is, quite frankly, extremely boring, which is disappointing, especially compared to her friends.
