Judging by the gameplay leaks the game will be pretty average. Not the disaster it could have been, but there has been more concessions to modern game design I hoped for. The biggest problem seems to be the event spawn system. Ai spawining near the player is not Stalker. The npcs should have predefined spawns and inhabit and move through the world like the player does not pop up out of nowhere. because a timer said now it's time for action or the player will turn the game off. I seriously hope this system is seperate from alife so it can eventually be turned off with mods, but this will seriously bother me playing through the game while it's there. Other things that I dislike are the dramatic color grading, Skif not knowing how to shut his mouth, the bland ui and frequent cutscenes, but those are less important and will easily be removable once the tools are out.
