It's something like austrian/swiss german vs berlin german - it's technically the same language and they'll mostly understand each other, but you'll quickly pick up quirks of each. There are a few different words, different conjugations and most importantly a different speech pattern/rhythmI honestly just don't know if there is an equivalent of that for english. The closest I can think of would be cockney compared to, idk. New York-ish. Making Kansaifolks rednecks is too simplistic but maybe there just isn't an alternative that a clueless EOP retard will understand due to the nuance.

I don't think there's really any direct analogy in the west so it suffers from simplification in the approximation process. You really can't just use accents as a go-to replacement for conveying the character through how they're actually being written.At least as far as HBR goes I think they did a fine job with adapting Megumin into English, putting aside how a few times they've just made shit up, but that's a problem with everyone.
