This game has absolutely no appeal to normalfags that played one or two generations and dropped off. It pretty much only appeals to spergs that never dropped off on Pokémon.Playing this game for only one character or generation or Pokémon is asking for a bad time. It used to be you could just use for favorite for everything since the game was much simpler but it hasn't been that way for years. The game forces you to use more characters to try to force people to roll.But the content just isn't very fun either. You used to be able to tell people yeah just play your favorites you can clear most everything but nowadays that just means the story events which is pretty much skip ticket dailies. Which when you think about it that's all you do in this game it's just not fun but inoffensive chores.

Were they expecting this to make all the money because branding, or simply that any likely result would be lucrative enough to be worth pursuing? I've always gotten the impression the game crashed and coasted on the branding, but five years of "coasting" isn't nothing, so I suppose option two must have panned out.I like the core battle system just fine and never expected too much from the outfits but the character writing being so guard-railed is my disappointment. The battling being a serious part of the equation is part of what got me playing, I wasn't looking for a pure dating sim. It didn't catch on because only spergs play waifu collectors and normalfags don't play every generation or care about the trainers. DeNA is in denial about the Pokémon branding power because the game keeps acting like a big shot when it barely captured any of the actual Pokémon audience. They really need to treat the player base they do have better. All the money they did make from this game was siphoned into other projects. None of it went back into the game. You can tell because of how many shortcuts this game keeps taking like the constant recycling of assets and extremely lazy stories and modes.Pocket had a way better launch that this game did at its very best. None of that money is going to be seen here. Pocket seems to be what they wanted this game to be. People I didn't even know liked Pokémon play Pocket. E-celebs who aren't Pokémon YouTubers talk about it and play it. Pocket is also something people who aren't into the main games can enjoy unlike this game. I say this as someone who was thoroughly surprised the game caught on like it did. No one paid attention to the prelaunch material and suddenly it's everywhere.
