It is simultaneously true that GoD is functionally "meaningless" because it doesn't translate to TWT wins as well as GoD is the top 0.5% of the playerbase so being there means you're at the very least a good player and the only way to get there is to go through the other 99.5%.You see pro players get new characters up there in a few days because they have a decade plus of movement fundamentals and knowledge on what their opponent is playing and all they really need to do is iron out what their punish moves are. They don't even need to have combos down even after they hit GoD because you don't need to do 100 damage off of a launcher if you can just win neutral 4 times. What's the best way to deal with Kaz's DF1 extensions? I know you can duck the high heat engager, but then he can do the safe mid. Do you just low block for a frame or two and then block mid? Or do you just guess/eat the mid? Idk tekken is hard.

Just see what option they prefer to do and change what you do based on that.
