Ian's stories are more fun and overall better than Penders although their approaches differ in that Penders wanted to tell deep stories while Ian's stuff has always been more surface level like Pariah pointed out. At least Ian's stories are fun and typically easy to read though. Penders ideas were a really mixed bag though, but Ian has had some stinkers of ideas too. Doesn't help that IDW editorial and Sega doesn't seem to do much to curb his bad ideas.
