I'm in for the pictures and whatever random shenanigans happen in game being shared

if you're up to suggestions probably try a full neolithic run on a medieval setting. As in use Medieval Overhaul and/or a mod that makes sure no stuff beyond medieval tech gets spawned.
Pre-neolithic vs industrial tech and up makes the run impossible as soon as raiders from that tech show up since at vanilla trivals can build walls and learn how to electricity wat faster than a neolithic pawn would. Also a neanderthal that can't even put up a wall using a gun and shooting with it (as vanilla has no ammo) is really bizarre to me.

I had to kill a sand prowler that was chilling right int he middle of the toads. It was about to go hungry and I know very well it was going to hunt my colonists as soon as they get close to herd the toads.
I shoved the toads into the butcher room. I'd be a sanitary concern if it weren't because the girls have been eating insect paste meals for 4 years now.

but I have far worse bloat on this 700+ modlist
plenty of VE mods, mod frameworks and Rim War on top of it.
I had no tps impact until year 2. Now at year 4 I can't get past 110 tps at x3 speed. I do have an above average pc, I bet this set up would be very laggy on a laptop or below. Would not recommend.

I think I have to make my dining/rec room bigger now that I keep getting 5+ guest quests all the time. Also I don't know when the mod was updated to do so, but the Vocaloids from the VocaloidAsAnimals mod now always do that Anomaly arcane mumbling thing, without the negative downsides of it. So having just one will make your colony progress on any Basic Anomaly Research you start on, even if you've never met/started any Anomaly-related content yet. Their arcane mumbling stuff doesn't provide exp for Advanced Anomaly Research, unfortunately.

Their first names are intended to be just random letters and symbols, and the BlackSnake's name will always be a diamond. BlackSnake's snake summons are also triangles. Their nickname is supposed to be their actual name, maybe they made it like that so you can change their names legitimately, who knows.
If you're having item names show up as triangles then that's a bug. Only the snake summon has double triangles as their names.

Yeah but it hasn't though. You have modded it, we can't see into the alternative universe where you don't have access to mods, to know how many hours of entertainment you would have gotten.
I'm pretty confident I would have put less than five hours into Rimworld with-out mods, and I know if I didn't have access to mods I would never boot up the game again.
I regret paying for the Game and DLC, despite my normally anti-piracy principles, because I didn't pay the people who made the product I enjoy and want to succeed, those people are modders working for free/scraps. In vanilla, is a Sanguophage prisoner supposed to be a forever-source of harvestable Heart and Liver? Or is it a bug/glitch in my game?

I've been able to harvest 2 lungs 2 kidneys 1 heart 1 liver nine times now and they just grow back in a short while.
No "forced deathrest" after harvesting a liver or a heart or 2 of the lungs/kidneys, I can just keep doing this forever with only a day or two between each harvest. This feels imbalanced so I was wondering if it's a bug?

Looks good, I know it's a WIP but a couple parts on the front view look a bit off, to me.
1. The pauldrons outline are behind the breastplate. Shouldn't they be in front?
2. The cloak looks a bit flat since it doesn't have the fold lines that the side and back view have. Actually the side view implies the cloak to be narrower than the pauldrons, while the front/back it's partially covering them, so maybe just narrowing it would do it.

I currently have MoeLotl, Milira, and Moosssian, the others can be good but I've noticed a lot of popular ones are buggy on 1.5, I haven't been able to get Yuran or Buns working, for example.
Moosssians are my favorite race I've played with. MoeLotls are intriguing and I love them so far, but admittedly don't know much. I really like Ratkins, but they're heavily bloated with content you will either really love or really hate.

Because it's a mod you have installed. As long as the mod you have is installed, it will cause it on every save you do regardless of insectoids. Because it seems to have "triggered" it, I'd start by removing every last mod you have that has to do with insectoids. If it persists, then you merely noticed it after the insectoids.

Check the edge(s) of your map. Did you have a trader or friendlies that came with animals earlier? They may have gotten 'stuck' somewhere near the edge of the map and is trying to leave the map but can't for some reason, causing it to spit out errors like that and causing the game to crawl at like 15 TPS.

In my case I had that happen to me in a run until I found the culprit and deleted them via Dev Mode or Character Editor. It turned out that the longer you have the Rimworld client running continuously without closing the client (Quit to OS), the more likely things started to break (16-24 hours). One time I had one where the cell alignment of everyone trying to do jobs and actions were off diagonally for some reason as well, making it impossible for pawns to sleep in bed properly and stuff.

Why would having depressive guilt make you work harder the more worse the feeling gets? I feel like that 'bonus' exists purely so that users are more likely to 'keep' the Hero around instead of just banishing them, especially if they're a 20 to all stats character to make up for it whose mere presence will shoot your colony's wealth up quite a fair bit.

As with all things, I'd just use Character Editor to remove the Medical Hediff and the associated Trait to go with it than deal with it. If it's hardcoded to such that it will automatically reappear if deleted that way, I'd use Character Editor to instead set Guilt Severity to 100%, making it instantly go into 'Acceptance'.

Oh yeah, for the game I had where that 'problem' happened, it had a Bug that did that. Whenever my pawn approached the spot where the Trader animals and sometimes pawns would get 'stuck', they would suddenly run away and cower for some reason. All in all, it was a relaxing yet eerie respite from all the insectoid and mechanoid raids that have been sieging the colony for four years straight.

To be fair, they had twice the amount of people exploring the area and enough food for 2 days.
The colony has bedrolls and insect jelly (they use it as pemmican) in storage for caravanning. As soon as Hanako got abducted the girls grabbed spare bedrolls, food, tea -they can't go anywhere without tea-, and attacked the Warped Obelisk in hopes they'd get teleported too.
What they didn't know is the Warped one would teleport random girls and not just its attackers.
Out of 4 attackers, only Tsurugi and Mashiro got teleported as intended, everyone else were collateral victims.
Luckily Tsurugi was holding half the food planned for the excursion and she made it in.

I grabbed it so that it's 'something that can happen in the lawless world of Rimworld'. I mean, you have Raiders that come in and try to steal your stuff and kidnap your people, but they're all actually gentlemen villains despite it all? Alpha Mechs give a lot of mechs and stronger tools like an insane bandwidth utility pack but some of their mechs are very obnoxious as enemies, Dead Man's Switch is pretty interesting in general and if you're planning to play as rats then Ratkin Mechanoid Expaned (yes not expanded) has pretty cool rat mechs (you don't actually need to be a rat colony to make them)

Not only that, for some reason the Custom Quest Framework changed the normal 'Door' structure to 'Custom Door'. I am seven years in and I haven't found any conflicts with VEF. I can right click pawns just fine. The only issue I faced with right click commands is that I can't stick an incantation on a jiangshi when it's moving, I have to pause the game or freeze it in place with an artifact.
Custom Door is separate from Door, the custom door is for quests and cannot be deconstructed, you have to attack it to destroy it. Normal door is still there and doesn't appear naturally on non quest maps. The dev for CQF seems to have made modmaking functions enabled even with dev mode off and such.
The jiangshi mod itself is definitely buggy and might conflict with a lot of bigger mods but I don't think CQF is conflicting with VEF. The conflict discussion was from April 2024.

Yeah, I mostly used to use Alpha stuff just for the Mechanoid Intrusion biome. The rest just kind of exists on the side. The Re:Growth series also depends on VFE, but whatever, I guess I'm just making my mod list smaller like this.

The error line seemed to suggest that the problem was actually the Ancot Library used for Kiiro and Milira, but not entirely sure because I didn't run into any such problems on my CE-enabled run, which CE is disabled now due to the current CE incompatibility with Jianshis. I just hope I don't have to start going through each mod I still have in this one, because I did add in a bunch of stuff for this run that used to work fine in the past. Either way, I'll find out in a moment when I try a no VEF run and see if I still get the same issue.

Somewhat, I enjoy the overall concept and the generator itself looks really good visually at all stages. However I would never play it without vehicles because you need to travel very long distances regularly. Upgrading the reactor also takes a huge amount of time and the nuclear upgrade path also comes with some very annoying steps.

It lets you put three stacks on one tile, it doesn't increase the max of those stacks.

I wished it shrunk the icons more of the things on a shelf because visually it gets very cluttered when you put shelves next to each other. You then need to start using the search tool just to find things you know is in your storage room.

Vanilla should add the ability to craft crates in addition to shelves:
Shelf = Three stacks on one tile. Good for items like weapons and armor.
Crate = One stack but multiplies the limit by 3. Good for resources like wood or rice.

They're alright but the Lasguns are pretty unsatisfying for the Imperial Guard mod imo (they FUCKED the Hellgun). It will also destroy the economy and balance since adamantium, ceramite and even auramite can be found as ores and meteors. There is no greater fear than being raided by a Mooseian in Auramite plate armour (an occurrence that isn't as rare as it should be)

Rimworld uses all available memory it can while booting so it can load faster. It doesn't work very well and swapping them to DDS can at least make the loading faster and the use of your system less extreme. If you boot up Rimworld enough in a day it will also crash at launch from memory leaks,

If you're using RimPy it should display all the incompatibilities at the bottom, not sure where it'll display on RimSort, however I'd be shocked if it wasn't a feature.
You can also open Performance Fish's About XML and look at the IncompatibleWith section.

I feel like the main draw of SOS2 is just the space combat part, really. If you removed the space combat part of it and focused more on the 'living in space' part, it'd probably lose quite a bit of the flavour it has. Not to mention that even if you do the 'Space Station' start, you're actually mostly relying on taking down attacking ships for resources over having a planetside resource base to support it.

all the standing problems got solved as soon as changed stockpile settings on the stairs. The experimental auto transfer feature is still buggy.
I also changed some settings like raising the work priority bar from 3 to 2 and disabling some settings.
I have yet to use the elevator, so I don't know if those are buggy or not

it has a few tools besides automation where you can manually mark items to be transferred to whatever floor you want.
everything related to the stairs is pretty much under the hauling tasks (specifically the loading caravan task), so having a pawn or mechanoid dedicated to hauling really makes cross level item transfer easier.
Also restricting access or having no path to stairs can make pawns stand not knowing where to go, even if there's another stair available leading to the floor the pawn wants to go to. I noticed that when I used the Locks mod to restrict a door leading to a stair leading to the second floor since it lead nowhere atm (I was in the middle of planning the expansion of the second floor).

I put the mod fairly low on my modlist for that very reason

I specifically remember downloading that mod for Chinchilla ranching after looking through all the base rimworld animals and being disappointed at their leather/fur values. I haven't seen Chinchillas in Rimworld before adding the mod nor after removing it. Some sort of timeline slip must've happened.
