Most new enemies are HAR factions. If you really want new enemies otherwise, The Corporation is fine, but has a risk of causing problems with VE Empire. If you use that Oskarslop, Deserters can be fun. Edo requires a new save if memory serves, but I personally enjoy it.

by looks I'd make the armours about as strong as Prestige Cataphract Armor witht the crafting recipe locked under Cataphract Armor tech.
Heck you can even copy the crafting recipe from it and increase the Gold needed from 18 to 24 along raising crafting requirement from 8 to 10 and call it a day.

FSF won't activate it unless you turn it on in the mod menu.
Type "shellRenderedBehindHead" without the quotes in RimPy search and types patches in the filter paths. It should show you what mod is patching it.

That said, usually if I run with the Ayameduki races, I run with all of them as opposed to picking specific ones, including the EX versions of the races. It does mean that I run the risk of an Idhale Avonrouch turning up and instantly turning my colony into dust though.

The only boss I've encountered (summoned really) was the Neclose Outisphonia, I got allies from ETHOS and every one of them died, I actually did better when they DIDN'T turn up

since it requires a wooping 18 crafting to be crafted I'd recommend removing the range block on the shield, make it have only one charge and require 10 advanced components (as ammo) per single shield charge.
It seems to be an end game item, so getting 10 advanced components by them is no issue.

Yeah, all except the original Eve are artificial, but you can create artificial artificial girls who are more on the biological side than machine, unlike the stuff that the Queelaans bring with them which can be more machine than biological

But don't you see? It's not their fault that the mod is throwing errors, it's perfect. Look at your own modlist first. It's a perfectly working mod to the mod author and their modlist, so it's the user's fault when it turns out to not be working. The user should be grateful for the free work the mod author had provided them with. The mod author has better things to worry about than having users discuss with each other about whether their mod is compatible with another mod, or suggestions/criticism about their mod, even if they don't read Steam Workshop comments.

The EX stuff is the OTP shit (and only arrives after a certain amount of years have passed or they've been summoned), with the exception of Xenoorca the raids from the regular races shouldn't give you too much trouble. Nearmare for example are no more threatening than any vanilla raid, in some ways they're even easier since they'll rarely come wearing any armour.

you have very good sense of balance
only thing I have left to suggest would be letting strong empire units spwan with it, but gotta make sure they spawn with death acidifier too and even then it might be a pain to code to ensure it doesn't spawn on lot point raids and the player would find ways to disable the unit to steal the armor.
Only reason I suggest it is because only the player employing the new goodies always felt cheatty. It's mor fun when the AI uses it too.

I don't have plan to make it spawned for NPCs atm since the armor was designed as an OC DONUT STEEL for Layla for my story autism. I may make it spawns on Empire High Noble and Acidifier is actually quite easy to patch in but since it uses VE Ability Def it can be very hard to make AI use it since Im a codelet unlike Vanilla Ability Def that AI will use it automatically like the ones for my Stellic Arsenal.

Can be hit and miss. If you absolutely don't want to get railed by a raid, don't download any of the EX versions - they're supposed to be like 'boss mode' versions of the races, though they are also the more 'perfect' version of said races.

If you just want the Ayameduki race(s) without any danger at all:
- Littleluna: You can only properly get one as a special Wanderer join event, and the race itself has no raids
- Idhale: Also safe (only joins via Slavers or Quests; no raids outside of the EX version)
- Silkiera: Safe so long as you don't piss them off (even then their raids are pretty manageable; they just use a lot of fire attacks)
- Silkiera: Totally safe as they're supposed to be docile silk moth girls created by the Silkiera for the sole purpose of providing said Silikiera Silk
- Chaorun: Safe and only joins as a special Wanderer Join event when you hit a certain Wealth level and will turn any battle at night or indoors with 0% Lighting into a slaughter with ease
- Solark: Totally neutral and generally won't have anything to do with you unless you piss them off or visit them
- Neclose: Same as Solark, though they will send trade caravans to you

As for the other races:
- Nearmare: Can be okay, as there's four factions that come with it - the normal neutral Nearmare, the religious nuns version of them (also neutral), ETHOS which is like a spacer tech version of the religious nuns except their mission is to protect young colonies or something, and the hostile Nearmare (can be turned into neutral/allies). Nearmare raids don't use their summon abilities in raids so manageable
- Qualeelans tend to raid with their version of Idearns, which can wreck your colony if you're not careful as they're all very well armoured and incredibly fast and hard-hitting.
- Xenoorca: Can be dangerous to unprepared colonies, as their standard raid, even if it consists of only 1 Xenoorca, is them wearing their trademark Power Armour tier racial armour

Psychic Power Pills are essential and you should buy or make them the first chance you get. Tinkerer (ONLY for mechanitors) > Shaman > Hunter (for ranged) = Warrior (for melee) > Summoner > Celestial, in my opinion. A single shaman Miho can carry you solo to mid game.

Never tried VOID but I wouldn't really recommend anything completely busted. The foxes can potentially be ridiculously strong especially if you mess with their genes but a strictly Miho colony will have a rough start because of their smaller body size, slower move speed, lower learning rate, drug dependency and slow wound healing. Miho weapons are also deceptively strong because all of their ranged damage type is Burn, making them down enemies extremely fast but it doesn't work that well against those not susceptible to pain, and the DPS is often lower than even some vanilla weapons of the same level. Except for the Miho Mechanite Accelerator Rifle, that thing does insane DPS on the cost of lower penetration and significantly lower building damage (which doesn't matter much).

If you remember my older posts, I'm building an area for poor people in my city, but soulful attractive slums such as you might find in southern europe. I'm having trouble deciding where the slums should end. I want to have a nice space for a monument between the slums and the upper part of the city where all the wealthy stuff is, but I'm not sure how much space to give it. if I go with option A, it would leave perhaps too much open space there, yet option b may be too little. I also think option A might make the slums feel incomplete, but that might not be true when I fill in the area below the road (shown in big picture).

Purely retextures existing mechs. Same mod author did one for Anomaly creatures as well. If what you're after is for your pawns to go fuck a mechanoid (girl) for sexual relief though I don't think there's a current working RJW related submod for that function - only the enemy mechanoid implanting body-burster mechanites thing.

On that semi-related note, there was a RJW submod to allow colonists to fuck chained up Anomaly creatures, but it's still broken for the current version of RJW I believe (Lust Anomaly).

I can't tell what's going on at all with the A/B from your image, so I will just put things in general terms.
It's better to give yourself more room whenever possible, since it's easier to fill space than make space.
My general progression for buildings is to plan out important/big buildings, then connect them with roads, and then fill the remaining spaces with less important things. That's how I imagine slums are built anyways, just making do with whatever space is available until you get a crowded and chaotic mess.
So my thoughts are: Finish the monument area and the road first before you think about the rest. If you need housing now use the area by the water.

I removed every mod that patch operation was on, and it still happens. I removed THIGAPPE, and it still happens. So, I tried FSF, still happens unfortunately. I can't find a toggle for FSF either, though.

It's an xml extensions mod, so it's not the main mod menu, but a separate one. When you go to click the mod menu button from the UI there should be a + next to it, or you can find the mod menu in the list called more mod settings. Either should bring it up,

The thing with them is that they're really weak when I don't let their Malevolent Exudation bar rise up, they can only properly fight on at least 400 points. It rises up when I tear off the incantation on their head but it won't go down until I put it back on, so I need to micromanage it or they'll go berserk and obliterate my base. I also can't leave them AFK too much even with no raids because they frequently beg for random food and will go berserk if I don't comply, worse is that it comes with a white letter and no letters when they go berserk, so the game doesn't auto pause even when the pause on threat setting is toggled.
That aside, I swore to myself that I won't even make a perimeter wall on this seaside colony so I wouldn't do that anyway. I actually wish they send me more non-mech raids because that means I have more bodies to feed him.
My colonists are doing absolute jackshit, I'm done with everything I want to do in this colony other than making a flying jiangshi. I already have another jiangshi baking in the coffin just in case this one fails for whatever reason, and I have four of her kids ready for her to eat. One of her child will be worth 800 corpses if things go right. This is the most evil I have ever been in Rimworld.

The main thing was just that a bag from this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3385444307 was drawing under the jacket, which they just do because the mod is fucked up (I removed it), and the hair was under the jacket as well, but I turned on the FSF Tweak for that and it's fixed. Bashing my head against a wall today after my small, comfy doomsday cult colony went to hell. So I evidently left a massive bug infestation alone for too long after it mined a hole through a containment wall. This infestation was right against the map edge, so a visiting imperial trader caravan had the genius idea to pass right by the breach on its merry way out. The caravan predictably aggro'd the bugs and sic'd the whole infestation on my colony. Seeing the imperials get torn to shreds by the zerg swarm, my guards took up their usual positions inside my perimeter wall's defensive airlock chokepoint. Things were going very well. Their top-tier skills and masterwork/legendary-grade wargear (along with liberal use of chain lightning and lightning strike psycasts) let them absolutely butcher the bugs at first. Tbh, the VPE Warlord melee psycaster holding centre at the exterior airlock door could have solo'd the whole hive. But then I accidentally right-clicked somewhere on the screen like a dumbass and moved everyone out-of-position, causing them to open the interior airlock door. This new opening caused the still-massive bug horde held up just outside the airlock to start pathfinding into the base, flooding right past my now-overwhelmed guards, and slicing up all the civies who couldn't reach the panic shelter in time. It was a fantastic 1+ month CE Commitment Mode run. But man does it bite that it's owari da just because of a single errant finger twitch

As for the current state of the colony: three survived. The colony's main battle psyker (Brunhilde), doctor (Elsie), and farmer (Vivi) all made it to the bunker. The OG cult leader (Golden Bull) and other combat pawns went down fast, being overwhelmed and surrounded not long after they initially broke formation. Lethal venom bites from CE-buffed VFE Insectoids megapedes somehow penetrated their marine armours. Everyone else either had their own little last stands in their bedrooms/workplaces or got chased down and pinned by smaller, faster bugs en-route to the bunker. The remaining survivors don't have the psyfocus or ammunition to escape off-map or retake the now-infested colony on their own even if I cheesed with the bunker's embrasures. Bouncing back is, theoretically speaking, still doable. But pretty much the only way forward now is to throw enough meat waves of allied reinforcements at the bug problem until it goes away, but that'd all depend on how well they fight given Rimworld's frankly handicapped combat AI

Avrys is surviving so far..
His greviously wounded sister has been stuffed into cryosleep casket to sleep until we can help her.
Makeshift hydroponics section keeps the steady supply of food and plants to turn into drugs.
Scrap fabricators ( RP ) are providing some material to build even more basins for food.
Our problem now is lack of space and power - those solar panels are loading our batteries just fine but during the night they get almost drained entirely.
Fortunately Avrys managed to jury rig some comms and he can talk now with orbital traders and trade shit.
And i need some fucking gold to build analyzer to research ship stuff so i can either land OR have any shot at actually building up that wreck.

Only times I've had a metalhorror implanted pawn show up is when I refused to let in a creepjoiner into my colony and when I received a temporary pawn as one of those 'Faction will provide x pawns to help you defend against this threat' kind of quests.

No, it's only as invincible as the other jiangshis, and by that I mean everything is decided by the amount of hatred it has. On 0 malevolence they get downed pretty fast, and once they're downed you can just cut their tail or execute them with a talisman and they'll die (which enemy raiders won't do so they're technically indestructible in that meaning). Flying jiangshis are just really fucking fast and does giga damage compared to the others.

It's a "Catch" skill where they catch a pawn, swing them around and toss them at someone else to cause collision damage. I think it's currently bugged because it doesn't cause any damage even with a dozen pawn surrounding it, all it does is take a pawn out of their draft status. It also freezes the jiangshi in place if things go wrong, and they'll stay completely still until they get attacked or get another command. The sound effect makes it sound like he's chugging their blood, maybe it should've been a regular bloodsuck pounce move.

After 800 hours I think I'm finally starting to burn out. I mean every colony starts the same, you build a hut, you get food going, get bathroom going then once you're stable you just do w/e the fuck you want. It doesn't matter if you start with 1 colonist or 20 the progression is the same then once you get to the "whatever the fuck you want stage" then it becomes like what do I even do, I got all the basics, make vehicles, make flying shit, become a drug empire it doesn't even matter.

I've been playing on blood and dust and even across multiple story tellers nothing has really been threatening (expect stuff on sheet ice) because the raids are alwasy the same oh boy look here comes the first raid, a single raider oh boy or here comes a big raid cause my colony is big. Let me get that first raid to be like 20 mother fuckers with lazer weapons or hat mid/late game raid be like 3 dudes with bows and stick who took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and are raiding the wrong colony. when i was still making mods, my dev environment was 1.3/1.4 vanilla, no extra mods
there are countless ways that other mods can cause errors that make it appear as though your own mod is causing them, and a lot of the time, it's caused by bullshit/broken harmony patches from another mod changing something in the vanilla code that you just don't anticipate - at the bare minimum, logs can help determine if it's isolated to your specific modlist or not, and whether a mod compatibility patch is needed
fuck VEF for this exact reason btw - the performance hits from all of the onticks in it (even for mods that aren't installed)made me never want to work on any issues involving VE, since i was never going to personally use it anyway, but Oskar has his hands in absolutely every god damn corner of the scene now with his cottage industry and it's a dependency for nearly all of his mods
it's been years since i've worked on anything, and i don't know if things have changed, but again, i don't use anything VE when i play once every 6 months or so

IIRC behind the scenes one or two of the people that do most of the mechanical shit for VE mods left.
Medieval 2 is pretty lacking in terms of new features for how long it was in development.
The monthly roadmaps he posts have just had basically everything getting pushed back for half a year. The ultratech/corpo/whatever mod had the design doc finished like 3 years ago and still isn't out. VE Androids were supposed to be part of that mod and got released standalone like 2 years ago, but the parent mod is still in development to this day.
I think the most recent 2 roadmaps had basically all the mods that would actually add functionality pushed back from "in-development" to "planning" in favor of churning out like 5 of these narrative quest mods.

it's true, legodude left the modding scene last year. he was carrying the C# for VE projects in the pipeline. taranchuk is the other heavy lifter and he's stretched super thin now. it wasn't helping that oskar sucked the creative process out of making mods by railroading his artists/coders into making what his patreons want. one of them was stressed out because he felt obligated to divide his modding time (a hobby) between his personal mods and the VE mods.

Oskar did state (in a way that seemed passive aggressive) that an ex team member was the one with Vanilla Skills Expanded as the project leader, and Oskar nor the other team members could "fix bugs" or "edit details," so he uploaded a fixed version. To Oskar's credit, it's actually okay now. Sarg made a buggy piece of shit addon that initially broke mining (fixed) and 'Drunk Passion' still causes errors too.
I loved Sanguophages and Insanity, but it feels like most of the mods are mediocre at best and absolute dogshit at worst.

I definitely get the impression that the modding scene for Rimworld is in a bit of a recession at the moment. Tons of people that had a good command of the game's C# have left, like legodude and owlchemist. I think even bradson, the performance fish guy, is not super active nowadays.
Maybe the next expansion will capture peoples' minds and revitalize the modding scene a bit. I think part of why it's so comparatively sluggish right now is that Anomaly didn't stoke a lot of long-term interest in the game.
Or maybe the game is just old at this point and nearing EoL. I hope not, but it has been on full release for 8 years now.

I see the Rimworld modding scene as very similar to the New Vegas modding scene. Lots of crap, lots of shitposts, lots of self righteous modders, with rare hidden gems and immensely talented mods left to rot by devs that left. It's been dead due to Anomaly, like the Frontier mod killed most FNV grand-scope mods. The difference being, Anomaly is official.
I doubt Rimworld will hit EoL anytime soon, but it needs something to revitalize it. Biotech is a magnum opus in regards to the official side, and Vehicle Framework a comparable mod equivalent due to the boom of content directly related to it.

Yes. One beastly (level 4 out of 5) jiangshi can take down a 5000+ point raid alone, provided you let them build up a little bit of hatred first. Too high and they'll go berserk during the fight. They also auto-use skills and one of them will obliterate any building nearby, so you can't use them close to your base. It takes a bit of micromanaging.
The problem is that if you're strong enough to subdue a beastly jiangshi then you're strong enough to take on a lot of things, so there's not much point outside of roleplay. It's fun to see them wreak havoc though.

The Ratkin mods are okay except for one teeny-tiny problem it's massive, why the fuck are they so good in melee? Their hits aren't weaker, they attack quicker, and their melee weapons hit like fucking trucks. Even unarmed a Ratkin in melee will lacerate their enemy, every early game social fight with a Ratkin leaves their opponent with a bleed timer. I've dealt with raids of these little faggots where I've killed all of their ranged goons no problem, but ONE (1) melee cunt manages to get in range and instantly downs (or kills) a well equipped pawn.
Ironically I've had less issue with Mooseians, at least when they spawn with a weapon it nerfs them.
