He follows the stampede to the village which is why the village people think he's causing the stampedes and want you to kill him. After he's dead ibushi shows up and hinoa resonates with ibushi. That's how you learn about narwa who minoto resonates with. You fight off ibushi who flies away and then you fight narwa who falls into a deep cavern. So you assume everything is good but then you see hinoa and minoto resonating with ibushi and narwa and you learn narwa is about to give birth in the cavern so you go stop it because their kid will be so powerful his storms will destroy the village. After that the sunbreak story starts

Monster Hunter really needs to borrow some ideas from Etrian Odyssey.Right now too many monsters are just fights, they don't have a gimmick. I'm having fun doing it but it could be better still.My go to example is making Congalala immune to dung pods so when it runs away you have to fight it with it's partner around to finish it off.Also CONDITIONAL DROPS.Kill a monster with the weapon it's strong against gives you this or that or something. Break this part before it dies for that.And do something better with zenny. Zenny is worthless right now.
