Pentimento doesn't need to reveal it's aura. It's finally been balanced nicely by making it's very powerful effect ramp up slower, and the counterplay remains of survivors needing to remember where the totems they cleansed are and picking the right time to cleanse the rekindled totems. Doubtlessly the repair debuff as it was was too strong too fast, now it's properly balanced, but now it's also for any Meg to find a pink aura and cleanse it. A light touch was all that was needed but they've gone overboard.

It doesn't require carefully building up value over a match only for that value to be lost if the survivors touch the blatantly obvious totems. It doesn't require an intricate multi-perk interaction that crumbles like a house of cards if the survivors touch the totem. Honestly I think I'd prefer the perk if wasn't a hex but simply turned off after the first down or after a few minutes. Haven't played in years, does every survivor get a free escape from hook if they're the last ones on the map and they're on a hook? I've had it happen in 3 games where 1-2 survivors escape after opening the gates while there's someone on a hook, should I just camp the hook at this point?
