The urn exists as an objective to try and force teamfights and give some play on the map when there is no jungle to farm on the map. The game has no wards so pushing can be pretty risky when you have no good way to know where people are on the map, the turn is a way to try and either force a team fight or force people to rotate. If you don't "play into" the urn mind games? well one team just gets richer and in cases where the entire jungle is cleared, that matters and obviously if they're behind that helps them catch up

Mobas just have too much autistic shit in them. The base game engine, movement mechanics, shooting, abilities, items etc are actually really good.

So you can apply it to a shooter like deadlock does or you can apply it to an RTS like the OG aeon of strife and Warcraft 3 mods did, which set the stage for dota allstars. There is a certain level of knowledge and strategy you need for a hero shooter, at least OW is very moba esque and I can attest to this as a subject matter expert cause I was autistic enough to get a liquipedia page for that game. OW is basically moba teamfights on repeat without farming. The parts that are exclusively moba are the lanes with waves of npc dudes that give you gold, the jungle with jungle npcs and "neutral ground", the objectives (buffs, towers, base, a boss that drops a buffs, etc)I think there is definitely a new type of gamemode that could be invented that makes use of a unique cast of characters each with their own abilities, guns, playtyles, alongside items which let you play a "build". But how do you do items without gold/souls? I'm not sure. The movement aspect is what keeps me playing at least, I think they really nailed it with that
