Finished the true route (Kikka) in Kakenuke. I read this since I finished Kinkoi and wanted something similar, which this is. It has the same structure and does the same genre switch with the true route. That being said, this game is not on the same level of quality. The true route was good, though, and did salvage the game IMO, despite not being as good as Ria in Kinkoi. As for the plot, I've seen this sort of plot before, for example in https://vndb.org/v31002 (I'd also note a similarity to Kanon) so once I realized what was going on I had a good idea of what would happen, and I was correct. It was still fairly emotionally moving at the end despite not being novel to me. I don't know if I'd recommend the game as a whole, but if you just read Hibiki then CTRL everything else to unlock Kikka then you'll probably have a good experience with it. That's my two cents.

I decided to reread WA2 even though it's not the season yet. I went into this worrying that I wouldn't enjoy it, on a reread, but I'm happy to say I did. IC was very good, I think Setsuna's CC (I didn't get around to reading the rest yet) dragged on for too long, and the same can be said of CODA towards the end. And sure it's a bit much at times in terms of the drama but I still enjoyed it immensely. If nothing else the writers did a stellar job with the heroines. I could immediately tell I was going to like Haku a lot. His looser morals and general laziness made the SoL much funnier in my opinion. Dude would wake up at noon after a night of drinking with the bros and proceed to spend several hours experimenting with Rulutieh in the kitchen to make sweets. The Hakurokaku inn was maximum comfy and I loved fucking around with everyone doing odd-jobs. The city felt so lively.Kuon is awesome and was a great first point of contact for Haku. Nekone and Anju were very cute and the setup they got paid off big for their development in MoT. Really all of the girls were great - Atuy felt like the only slight miss to me and I still think she had some great moments across both games. As for the dudes, Ukon was a chad and Maroro was based as fuck. I get why Ukon couldn’t, but I would have loved it if Maroro was playable for more of the game so he’d have some more screentime. I pretty much played non-stop from the Tuskur invasion to the end of the game because it was so good. Vurai was a fucking BEAST and a perfect choice for the final boss. Obviously he’s sort of a piece of shit, but you can’t help but respect how forthright and unwavering he is in his desires and ideals. I gained a lot of respect for the dude in MoT, especially. The ending was absolutely incredible to witness unspoiled.In my inexperienced opinion, the designs, artwork, music, and voice acting all seemed top-tier. Anju and Munechika had my favorite voices (Hayami OP) and favorite designs are honestly those same 2 along with Nosuri. The mama hug made me cry more than once and is easily the best scene in the entire trilogy for me.
