>>540968995For the squids it is basically boils down to two things that make them a chore to fight. Tripods and meatballs. Meatballs because there is no weak point or reward for aiming. It is simply a mass of HP that charges at you and never relents. Sounds good as a concept but practice it is just fucking annoying. Chargers are somewhat the same but they have 2 big differences. There IS a weakpoint you can exploit if you specifically use an AT weapon and the charge while powerful and fast does have some sort of cooldown. A window where you can dodge then retaliate. The meatball has neither. Just dump X amount of damage anywhere and this thing doesn't charge and pause it just keeps beating your ass and is always faster then you. Again sounds good but fucking cancer in play. Tripods are a mixed bag. They have a weakpoint and windows to counter but their weakpoint's hitbox is so fucking wiggly and disjointed that half the time hits that should have downed it clip into it's immortal stupid head or leg instead of the joints. Once there is a critical mass of tripods with meatballs and the endless throng of voteless there is just never prime time to take back charge of the situation. All you can do is run because you cannot kill them faster then they constantly reinforce.

So, by not playing cities (the only thing making progress, or realistically even capable of progress), you are gimping the liberation rate of that planet.The way it's currently set up is that the only way to actually capture a planet quickly is to spam down a city when it's available, then go back to normal missions, then spam the city again. It's not fun because 1. The entire playerbase isn't going to fucking do that. And 2. If you do want to feel like you're contributing... You have to play a city if it's unlocked.
