Or Undertale, since it can also be divided into seven "levels" with acts, the same way. Here is this Area, here is the boss fight for this area, and that's one chapter of the story. Then, I divided those 7 chapters into 13 episodes, that I plan to make into a comic format with hopes of eventually converting that into animated form at some point in the future. For now, I have started trying to write out each "episode" in narrative form first, and then translate it into a script format later once I've gotten far enough. So far, I've only written "Episode 1", and half of "Episode 2". I've been trying to keep each "Episode" about, like, 22-24 pages or so, under the belief that it could somehow translate to 1 comic page and/or 1 animated minute. How well that actually works out, I'll have to see for myself in the future. But so far, I have 24 pages for "Episode 1", and 12 pages for "Episode 2". I've had to rewrite Episode 1 several times to re-adjust the whole flow of it, rewrite certain characters to keep their personalities accurate and stuff, edit scenes down or whatever so it all fits, and other stuff. There's some cases where I struggle to actually write a character as they're supposed to be, like it's hard to put theory into practice. But that just requires re-thinking my approach to how I write, because I often end up focusing too much on checking all the boxes of what is supposed to happen, but actually writing this stuff is not that simple. Like, I had my friend review what I wrote for a scene with his character ("Eclipse", inspired by Shadow), and I was doing way too much info-dumping and not enough emphasis on the character's actual personality, so he had to help me rewrite the whole scene to fix all that. After that, I rewrote the entire rest of the episode myself as well.

Tails is Kid Sonic, and Cream is Girl Tails as a result of designing a character to be Kid Amy. Naturally, Tails and Cream will be paired together just at a surface level glance by anyone who looks at them and sees "Kid Sonic" and "Kid Amy". Those that vehemently disagree with the ship are looking beyond the surface to recognize that in execution, Tails and Cream barely interact often enough for there to be reasonable ground for even a solid friendship. Contextually, they are good friends, think highly of one another, and have interacted quite a bit... But it's so in the background and not given any real significance that it still almost feels like a stretch to genuinely pair them together as a ship. But that itself is a consequence of "Kid Sonic" only ever being in Sonic's shadow, and not really having any opportunity to really form his own relationships with other characters because of Sonic always being the focal point. Which is why the one thing Tails needs more than anything is to lead his own team on the side, so he has more than just "kid who follows Sonic". Even moments where he IS the hero when Sonic is away doesn't have as much impact if the status quo he returns to after is still just "support Sonic, follow Sonic" without anything on his own. Tails needs characters that look at him alone FIRST, and just see "Tails". And not "SONIC'S SIDEKICK". Maybe then, there'd be a solid basis for Tails and Cream as something more than just acquaintances through Sonic & Amy. Overall, Tails & Cream as a ship is just fine on a conceptual level. It's the kind of thing that makes so much sense, it's almost expected.
