I don't know what the specifics of his canon are actually supposed to be, but I find it much more interesting to make him stoic and distant because he's artificial, not because his sistergirlfriend died and he is le traumatized.I do think Shadow should probably stop being a "rival" at this point, but I feel like there's more to explore with him than just making him laugh at all the jokes. I think a more interesting take is someone that protects peace and joy even though he can't experience it the way the people he saves can. Not because he's broken, but because he's just different.

If we explore that missing link, the broken hero who saves others from misery would be more fascinating for everyone, not only Shadowyumes who make shit up or imagine "what Shadow thinks and does" becauase he shows no emotions and we aren't explained why he's that way in an explicit manner that join his character, personality and world together.

I noticed something, I thought you guys were exaggerating, but the Sonaze fandom (at least the one on x) is completely unhinged. Like CWC levels of crazy, they consume Sonaze as if it were heroine. What's up with those shippers? Even Silvazefags behave more like functional individuals compared to them.
Things that WILL (unfortunately) happen in movie 4.Amy WILL be a confident, capable adventurer right off the bat. She will be shown being even more capable than sonic (they will handwaved this reason away by stating that Amy has been alone her whole life and had to rely on herself.[yes they will casually ignore the fact that sonic was exactly the same safe for the last year or so of his life])Amy will NOT be immediately romantically interested in sonic. Sonic will instead be smitten with Amy. Their "romantic" interactions will be sonic attempting (poorly) to whoo her, often making an ass of himself in the process. He WILL receive the "Just be yourself" talk from his surrogate father. There WILL be a moment where sonic spills his spaghetti so badly Amy visibly cringes at him. The movie will likely end with Amy noncommittally returning some of sonics affection, at best agreeing to ONE date. Amy WILL be an unlikable hard ass. Her "character growth" will be allowing herself to show some kind of emotional vulnerability. She will also get irrationally angry over the fact that people want to care about her and get her to open up.Amy WILL be inexplicably stronger than knuckles, more clever than tails (not exactly smarter) and "almost" as fast as sonic. She will, at multiple points, emasculate every single male member of the cast. Girls get it done.All these things will happen. Abandon hope now.

By the end, someone more emotionally sensitive (Tails, Cream, Amy) apologizes for dragging him along, since they think he didn't have a good time. Shadow is confused, and responds, rather deadpan, that it was wonderful to see everyone, not just his friends, but the strangers too, enjoying themselves and taking a day off from worldly hardship.

I have never actually SEEN a Sonallyfag be annoying. Sonallyfags are some of the only shippers that simply acknowledge that their ship wouldn't work in the canon, mostly because they don't care about the canon anyways. You never see them trying to pull mental gymnastics to explain how modern Sonic could work as a romantic interest. More often than not they don't even like Sonic's character anyways.
