I don't think Violet likes Tails or Amy. Not genuinely. Something about their core roles (Sidekick, Girlfriend) and how they are used within them must not resonate with her, hence her creative endeavors going out of her way to break those molds as much as she can and remove them from the equation. She likes the idea of Amy and Tails as characters outside the boundaries of those roles, but feels frustrated with how the core of their character roles actually define them. Which just leads to using Cream to replace both. Or whatever else she did. Tails, Amy and Knuckles are Kid-Sonic, Girl-Sonic and Anti-Sonic at their core, so their primary dynamics in the core 4 is focused on Sonic. Who they are between themselves is not fleshed out much because of that fact, that they all connect back to the MC who soaks up all the screen time. The real issue here is that Tails doesn't get to do much beyond support Sonic. This isn't an Amy problem, she gets plenty of opportunities to interact with other characters in unique ways but Tails doesn't because he's beside Sonic who does all the interaction himself.
