I really do feel like sadly that picking Stadiums and it not being everybody in the same Stadium at the end hurts the fun and tension of City TrialThe worst part is that it doesn't even feel like something that was a particularly important or intended design decision, it just feels like an artifact of having 16 player city trial matches where Sakurai didn't want players to lose like 90% of the time I think the game would have been better off with multiple smaller city trial maps that maxed out at 6-8 players. The ease at which your machine can become a uncontrollable roided out beast is also a problem because that combined with winning feeling more hollow really makes each match feel more samey and less consequential
