I’m going to be quite frank with you dear reader, the more I learn about the Tau, the more I warm up to them and find them cool. I was kind of hoping underneath those helmets would be the 40k equivalent of Lizardmen but I’ve even warmed up to the blue cow fish people faces as well. I like their aesthetic, I like the entire concept of the Farsight Enclaves and how they already have rebel colonies despite the Tau’s relatively quick advancement to interstellar empire and that they’ve speedran getting into catastrophic wars for them where it took others somewhat longer to get involved in, and I like their whole Fire/Water/Air/Earth caste theming and all their cool mechs and laser weaponry and how they align themselves with other races and their reluctance to fully accept the existence of Chaos because of their lack of souls and purely ‘rational’ outlook on the universe, how they’re still pretty terrible as far as galactic empires go but dress it up with holier-than-thou bullshit about a ‘Greater Good’. All this to say I hope to say we get some kind of game that does them justice in the future and maybe even a faction of some sort (enemy or playable) in a Tide. Thanks for reading :)

Some sources are saying that it tracks this penance per character and that swapping off resets the counter, but that going down on any character also resets the counter. And apparently joining a match in progress, even if it's at the initial walking into the camera cutscene, doesn't count. Getting disconnected or leaving early also counts as a down apparently. You have to complete 15 consecutive missions with no downs on the same character, and all of those missions have to be from lobby screen to finish. This definitely makes it make so much more sense why I have still not gotten it through normal gameplay in 500 hours; I have never played 15 matches in a row with the same character ever because that would be extremely boring. Even when leveling arbitrator I didn't do that. And then add on that probably half of the missions I have ever played haven't even been counting.
