I think Tangle and Whisper being in Rumble has been more important for them internally than Crossworlds. It's the first game that is experimenting with them having a playable moveset. Crossworlds, the Dash and Speed Battle games and Roblox are all just basically skins where everyone does the same thing even animation wise, but here in Rumble they both have unique abilities. Whisper can both use her rocket and laser wispon abilities. Rocket launches her forwards and laser is a laser gun obviously. Tangle has tail swipes like Tails, but also a bounce move that makes her spring around like Tigger from winnie the pooh.The other thing here is that unlike Crossworlds, their inclusion isn't treated as a crossover promotion or event around IDW. They're just added in like they're other Sonic characters.It's also interesting that their rumble renders already updates their designs compared to crossworlds too giving Tangle fangs she's never had in anything including idw and Whisper's design getting small tweaks like shortening her mouth to not be big and ugly like the Forces avatar characters that are in Rumble
