One issue with Chizuru's upgrade card is that monsters that put retain cards in your hand at the end of a turn always seem to get their card cost reduced instead of your own since I guess the card reduction takes place before you draw.

The only part of Chizuru's kit that bothers me is the Cursed Shackles debuff not automatically moving to a different enemy when the current one dies. No, the skill epiphany is not a good solution. It's common to kill an enemy with your last AP and then not be able to play it before the turn ends.Ideally, they make Shackles auto-transfer and simply replace that epiphany with another one that benefits from being used on something already-shackled.Sub-optimally, they could reduce the skill epiphany to 0-cost, but then it feels like Yet Another Necessary Epiphany.They could also just give it retain, but that would still feel like shit to play with.

But it was only like 0.6% better. Thats factoring in the additional 2.5% crit you get from the potential up to 1k atk. I'm enjoying the event story. The worldbuilding is still a mess but the character interactions are fun, and Yuki and Chizuru (and Itsuku for that matter) are endearing. I also think the lighthearted tone has the potential to mesh better with horror, by offering contrast. Stories that are grimdark suffering all the time become monotonous and lose their edge; it has more punch if it happens sparingly.

I like playing with all of these but can't decide which 6 characters I should focus on for endgame content. They did a half assed attempt to counter MeiLin (that doesn't even work) and that's it. The boss actually buffs the archetypes that were already strong by giving you a full hand every other turn.
