For context, look at previous TW trailers, this is the first gameplay reveal of WH2https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mhrrZilPVoINow, knowing what the game was on launch, and eventually became, this "gameplay reveal" showed virtually nothing. idle animations, walking animations, and 0.6 seconds of a sync kill. I don't see the logic in making huge judgments at this stage. Yeah it looked like DoW, but the trailer, especially at normgroid slopfest TGA, is really just there to say "hey we're making a strategy game for 40k", not inform /twg/ schizos of what exactly the game will feel like over a year from now or fulfill a perfect vision of a 40k game. This comes off like I'm glazing and I don't even like writing it, but I'm happy with it. We still don't have a clue about 99% of how the game will actually play, like nobody knew how TW2 would be just from that gameplay reveal trailer. Judging by that trailer you'd think Helves played by stacking melee infantry and that lizardmen got to run around with a zillion dinos, neither of which are true.

>>549843627I think there's definitely going to be a campaign map, and desu the vision of space marines operating off of a battle barge and just conquering shit makes much more sense than building walls and farms on every planet as space marines, imperial fists notwithstanding. Orks are probably going to be similar, just rally some boys and get on a rok and go fight. IG and Eldar will probably be more settled and defense focused.
I'll play guard if I can mix in grey knights, sisters and/or assassins, otherwise I'll give Eldar a go.

DoW 4 will be 4 seperate campaigns and not a Dark Crusade style campaign map so I'm leaning towards TW40k.Regardless of that if it's a 80 dollar price tag or some shit it's not getting bought.
