It's been over two years. I think it's finally time that I made an iron farm. I'm starting to label containers and item frames and that's just eating through anvils. I've been sticking to low-tech in the current area that I'm building, but I also haven't moved out of there yet, either.

>complains about inventory management
Getting tired of people crying about managing inventory just because they're blind and carrying tons of shit they don't need, just fucking drop them on the ground
Watching golems kill a wither
>4 magma cream
>5 cactus
>phantom membrane
>2 leather
>blaze rod
>4 spruce saplings
>17 sand
>34 fences
>20 oak logs
>water bottle
>multiple stacks of left over blocks from digging down to bedrock
>multiple stacks of bones
>multiple stacks of coal
>has 12 chests to put down to store everything
Even when Scar, Tango or Bdubs complain they have random useless junk in their inventories like zombie flesh, wheat seeds, eggs, multiple of the same item just taking up 2-5 different inventory slots for whatever reason, a single stair block, etc etc
>>
>>552508126
This invetory could use a bundle or two. Or a shulker box this late in the game.
>>
>>552508126
I don't care about YouTubers, but inventory management is still a problem. If you want to build something big, you usually need tons of different blocks which quickly fills up your inventory. My hotbar is basically full with just the tools and food I use on a regular basis, how am I supposed to juggle an additional 10+ blocks for my builds? Honestly, just having multiple hotbars would go a long way, and thankfully there are mods for that
>>
>>552508850
>but inventory management is still a problem
Never said it wasn't, never even implied it. I'm pointing out people's inability to see what's in their own inventory and complaining about having no room. Inventory management IS a problem, that I can and will agree on but not when you're actively filling yourself with junk items you don't need and getting mad you can't carry anything else

>>552508423
I started a new world for fun lately, just to relive that early game feel. Found 2 bundles in a village, I took everything they had with me. Moved to the next village, got 3 bundles, took everything they had. All seeds/crops, all torches, chests, the chest loot, random work stations, saplings, flowers, all the ingots from killing the iron golems which I condensed into iron blocks to save even more room. I got back to my base area and had 5 double chests full of different items, bundles really are amazing early game till you get shulkers
>>
>>552508850
>multiple hotbars
That's what shelves are for
>>
>>552513297
So when you're building something, and you realize you need an item or block you don't have on you, you'll jump off the roof you're currently working on to go swap out your hotbar at the shelves you put down by your chests? And you prefer that to just hitting a keyboard button? Shelves aren't mobile, so they basically useless for this purpose
>>
>>552515245
>and you realize you need an item or block you don't have on you
This is entirely a player based issue, has nothing to do with the game. If you're not prepared to build then that isn't Mojang's fault, it's yours. Do you know what is mobile? Shulker boxes, they exist for a reason so use them
>b-b-but then i have to carry lots of shulker boxes and place them down!
You're never getting a creative sized inventory in survival no matter how lazy you are, just switch game modes if it bothers you this much
>>
>>552515826
Don't move the goalposts, Anon. I was talking about rotating my *existing* inventory so I don't have to keep switching out my tools for blocks or vice versa, and you suggested the shelf which is useless for my situation since it's stationary

This game could use a trash can that lets you just delete items from your inventory like in Stardew Valley. Every time I try to throw crap out of my inventory I always end up picking it pack up again.
>>
>>552508850
>how am I supposed to juggle an additional 10+ blocks for my builds
by middle clicking on one that is already placed inworld, which makes it switch to it
>>552515245
The common way to accumulate trash is:
>do something
>decide to do something else
>you still have the crap from before in your inventory
And the bookshelves do solve that.
There is no need for you to carry a sword or bow while building. You can have it on bookshelves nearby, accessibly in case you need them.
They help you to avoid having shit in the inventory that you don't need.

Same with bundles. They help you in shulker boxes, for things you don't need regularly, and they help you to combine the various trash items you carry on one stack.

Mojang is tackling the cause, rather than the symptoms. If you give people six more inventory slots, they will carry six more types of trash with them. You just postponed the problem.
I think mojang does the right thing here. Possibly the only right thing they did in the past year.

>fine for youtube but not 4chan

>>
Stop being such a fucking horder, make disposal points for easily renewable resources, and make use of material that you're accumulating too much of by building something with it.
>>
>>552519318
>by middle clicking on one that is already placed inworld
Which, of course, assumes both that I've already placed one, and that the one I've placed is within reach. Hardly an ideal solution

>And the bookshelves do solve that
No, they don't. I always empty my inventory before I start a new project, so that's not an issue. My main concern isn't the size of the inventory, but the management of it

My hotbar usually has an axe, shovel, pickaxe, an an ender chest, as well as food, rockets and ender pearls. No sword, bow, hoe, or other situational weapon or tool. That's still 7 out of 9 slots taken. If I place down my ender chest, that does free up a slot, but it also means I have to travel to it whenever I want something from it, so it's a trade off depending on the situation. But fine, let's say I have 3 slots free. Now I want to build a simple house. I'm using spruce logs, cobblestone, planks - and just like that I'm already filled up, without even a single glass pane, mossy cobblestone, chest, door, or decorative block. At this point I have to start unequipping stuff I don't need at the moment, and it inevitably ends up with me having to re-equip the same stuff when I get hungry, suddenly need a shovel, or want to get up on the roof without having to pillar. But if I simply swap my whole hotbar with a single button, I never have that issue. My tools remain where they are, no need to hunt them down inside my inventory, and I can have 9 building blocks equipped at any given time. While shelves also provide this exact same functionality, they don't follow me around, thus making them far less convenient than a simply mod that effectively just automated me pressing 1 through 9 on an inventory row
>>
What's a good early game xp farm? Should I just make a big mob farm to get it over and done with?
>>
>>552523856
The standard mob grinder is really the only xp farm that can be built early game.
>>
>>552521523
idk bro, i just don't experience that issue in how i play.
Not even when i have the standard hotbar with weapons and only three slots of hotbar materials. Maybe its a bigger issue when you do layer by layer litematica style.

It's not like you place random blocks at random points, all builds are repetitive in some way, so you can middle click.
Then you have all those products of your base materials, stairs and fences and whatever. I don't have them in my inventory anyway. I leave it for last and go to the stonecutter, get the approximate amount i need and if something is left throw them in a bundle.
If you already click into a crafting table or stonecutter, you might as well change those few hotbar spots while in it.
I would never have those on the hotbar anyway, it could have 20 slots and i still wouldn't have it there, because those trash types would fill it up in no time and the one i need right now would still not be on it.

It's also very rare that in need an axe and a shovel at the same time.
I can have the shovel at the slot above the axe on the hotbar, hover over it and press the number key to switch them.
Same with fireworks and ender pearls. They are usually exclusive as well.

What i would like is a bookshelf type, but for the whole rest of the inventory, a special chest or whatever. So you can one-click dump everything that isn't the hotbar as well.

'S'what I did.
>>
>>552524372
I wouldn't know about Litematica, since I never use it. But it's strange to me that you've never had a situation where 3 blocks isn't enough for what you're building at the moment. All it takes is wanting to use bricks, brick slabs, brick walls, and either glass or granite at the same time. I guess if you only place the bricks first, and then come back for another pass with the slabs, and then again for the walls, it might work. But I can't build like that
>>
Just throwing in my two emeralds, are you guys making your builds in creative and then recreating them in survival? I usually start with raw-unprocessed blocks and then as the build takes shape I start messing about with detailing and depth. I keep adding a little bit or making changes over time.
My hotbar, my most used tools/blocks are on 1-2-3 because those are the easiest to reach numbers from WASD. When building that usually means pick-axe, wood-axe, and something. When mining, it's pick-axe, food, something else. I always carry my sword in my off-hand so I can switch to it with 'F.' So that means I'm using up about four slots on my hotbar for tools and the rest is open for blocks, scaffolding, etc.

Ah, I posted this last thread. I was working on this build that only need a pick axe and wood axe. I finished it and was tidying up the surrounding area. My crop farms are nearby, so I harvested with my bountiful hoe. I had 6 slots open for whatever I needed at the time.
>>
It feels like for certain blocks like netherrack or nether quartz one youtuber said it was "ugly" 12 years ago and from then on everyone else has to always say they're "ugly" and never use them
>>
>>552515245
Should there just be no challenge to building? Do you want to just QoL all the difficulty away? You might as well play creative, then.
>>552516376
Not the same anon.
>>
>>552525575
I usually play around a bit in Creative, but I almost never build the whole thing there. It's more fun to spend time in Survival, including making mistakes and having to make changes on the fly. So I might build one wall segment in Creative, but the actual house in Survival once I know what blocks I'm going for

My tools are always on 1-3, and they never move from there. Rockets are always on 9, because I can hit 1 and scroll up to get to them, making them accessible but still a step below my tools. Food is on 8, with the same logic
>>
>>552526375
>Should there just be no challenge to building?
There should be, which is why I don't use Creative flight or mods like Axiom to build. But where's the challenge in opening my inventory and looking for my pickaxe so I can break a block I misplaced? Is pressing a button to pull out my tools really such a difficulty-breaking feature that it trivializes building?
>>
I noticed trial chambers have splash and lingering potions of weakness in some of the dispensers, I'm gonna remember this next time I start out new because that cuts out needing to go to the nether for blaze rods or setting up a witch to weaken zombie villagers for curing
>>
>>552526889
The new skelly desert variant also drops arrows of weakness. With a piercing crossbow, a single arrow can last indefinitely.
>>
>>552527206
You don't need a crossbow, just keep one contained and it'll shoot infinite arrows.
>>
>>552527328
Sure, but obtaining and transporting an enchanted crossbow and some arrows is far easier than transporting a skeleton or villagers, potentially several thousands of blocks/across dimensions in order to cure the villager *one* time. I don't know many people who specifically build in deserts, and certainly most of my last few worlds haven't had one very close by.

>>

>a situation where 3 blocks isn't enough for what you're building at the moment
Without middle click i mean.
There can be 8 different blocks, but if its a pattern where the wanted block is always already nearby to get middle clicked on, that's not much slower than pressing a button or scrolling to a slot.
>>
>>552526889
That's such a smart idea. I'll use that too
>>
>>552527908
Copper Golems are a huge help with the inventory problem, if you use them right.
The catch is that this only really helps when you are at your base where you have your storage system built.
They don't help when you are out adventuring away from your base.

>I saw ads for this game and they were basically making fun of minecraft because they mention their game had better mechanics. We'll see about that in due time.
I've never seen ads for this game. I found it after watching youtube video of a guy playing it with his friends.
Can't say its better than minecraft. For me it's a bit buggy indie game in a playable state. Some mechanics like crafting, mining, farming, cooking and animal husbandry try to have more depth, but are either left unfinished or just involve either tedious clicking, waiting or are plain cancerous like prospecting for iron.
I did like the weather more than in minecraft. Rain arrives with clouds and is local, Just seeing big dark rain clouds come in from the horizon carrying rain feels better than a sudden, global minecraft rain.
As for gameplay cant say that much is possible other than larping as some medieval guy in a cobblestone castle or village where the only resident is you.
Overall my idea is to shelve it for 2-3 years and see where it goes.
>>
>>552549735
I'm honestly fine with the global weather, but I'd kill for some more variety. Maybe there could be a few steps between sunny and heavy rain, like drizzle and medium rain, just to bridge the gap a bit - and maybe it doesn't progress all the way to heavy rain every time it rains. Also, what about mist, sand storms, and blizzards? Mojang could easily use the existing fog effect for those, since it's just about reducing visibility and adding some sound effects. Imagine if there was a beacon-like block that could set a localized weather effect, kind of like what the pale garden and some nether biomes have. I'd love to build a forest base covered in mist

There was something about this prior build that I wasn't quite happy with, but I think this is a decent solution. I've tried various wood embellishments like buttons, trapdoors, and even shelves, but none of those quite satisfied. Blocks add depth and also helps add value in the brown so it's not so samey.
>>
>>552625509
My instinct was to defend this, because stone and andesite are basically the same, but the wearing patternns and moss growth doesn't make sense. Cobble is distinct enough to clash with stone brick and so fails to appropriately show weathering. Raw andesite does, however, but there is no mossy raw andesite.
The tiling doesn't make sense. Why are there random bricks and random tiles? Neither could be justified as weathering because of how strong the blocks are.
If he used the andesite in a defined pattern with stonebrick and *then* started weathering/texturing/mossing it, this would be much better.

I need a bonemeal farm that I can throw in a wall underground. I don't need a ton of bonemeal, I just need some supply for the occasions where I need to bonemeal a thing or two locally. This farm works but the melons are growing too slowly. I'm looking for something a similar build footprint and resource requirement.

bonemeal comes from bones so you need a mob grinder and mob grinders are most efficient way up in the sky where they arent competing for mob cap with a bunch of other entities.
>>
>>552731623
bonemeal can also come from plant materials composted, anon.
>>552729035
i don't think you're going to get any reasonable rate of bonemeal in that footprint at all. a small bonemeal farm is still decently large comparatively, and would most certainly give a lot more bonemeal than you desire. i don't think such a contraption exists for your purpose, i would reccomend just looking up a small bonemeal farm and having it run somewhere else and supplying it manually.

Moss farms are by far the best source of bone meal, but they're a lot larger than that. Pumpkin and melon stems try to spawn fruit at any of the 4 adjacent block, even if they can't, meaning you only have a 25% chance to see growth with your current setup. If you want passive growth, maybe cactus would be a better bet? They're slow, but consistent, and use the same checkerboard pattern for growth
>>
New world nether spawn on the edge of a warped forest onto a nether waste, I can see what looks to be a treasure room bastion about 400 blocks away with no lava pools in between and on top of all that there's nether fortress buried within a basalt delta about 600 blocks in another direction. anyone here familiar with the concept of netherstone (ie redstone contraptions using only materials obtainable in the nether)? I'm planning on starting over in the nether, and wanted to see what all might be possible. I've managed to find this youtube channel that has a few videos on the concept, but they are all from 2+ years ago

I'm wondering if any new mechanics could be implemented to make any of these designs more efficient or other designs that might be possible now

been doing some thinking through on this and reading the wiki, and these are all the farms I can see being possible with a nether start
>bartering farm
>gold farm
>ghast farm
>magma cube farm
>wither skeleton farm
>blaze farm
>chicken farm
>hoglin farm
>enderman farm
>nether wart farm
>crimson/warped nylium plant farms
>nether tree farm
>mushroom farm
then I was thinking about trapping two villagers in a bastion and nether fortress respectively, and two bees in a crimson and warped forest, as well as hiding some blue ice, and dirt somewhere in the nether before starting, and that opens up these possibilities
>bee farm
>iron farm
>basalt farm
>villager trading
>wheat farm
most notable there being the villager trading which would give access to traditional redstone and the honey blocks from the bee farm in place of slime blocks. I'm sure there are some more farms I missed

I'm very sure that ancient debris was supposed to be found with a compass.
That's why it's used in lodestones, and that would have been the "lore" explanation for why compasses spun wildly in the nether before they added netherite. And it explains why they would add ancient debris the way they did when it completely contradicts their design philosophy.

No need for that. I asked AI and turns out there are lots of ways to get redstone in the nether.
>Here are the best ways to get redstone in the Nether:
>Bartering with Piglins: This is the most reliable method for obtaining redstone dust in the Nether.
>Drop gold ingots or nuggets for Piglins.
>They will trade you various items, including redstone dust, ghast tears, and Ender pearls.
>Looting Chests:
>Nether Fortresses: Look for chests inside these structures, as they can contain redstone dust or even redstone ore.
>Bastion Remnants: These large structures often have treasure rooms with valuable loot, including redstone.
>Nether Witch Farms: When in the Nether, witches have a high chance of dropping redstone (4-8 dust) and can be farmed efficiently, providing a massive supply for your Nether projects.
>Important Note: Standard redstone ore does not naturally generate in the Nether in the base game; you need to rely on bartering, looting, or farms for it.

I tried this kelp farm, but it's not producing enough either. If I could get one piece of bonemeal a day, that'd satisfy what I was looking for with this project. Currently, I get most of my bonemeal from composting crimson forest foliage or wheat seeds. Sometimes in my fervor to get organized, I stash my bonemeal away somewhere that is less than convenient to reach.
I think I might try some kind of crops. Wheat would be the most useful to have extra farms of, but carrots or potatoes will probably produce more bonemeal. It'd be easy to stick a couple of plots of farmland into a wall and set up a bonemeal producing hopper chain.

>>
>>552881048
The only problem here is chorus fruit and that's if you need end rods or purpur. Polar bears are useless, so are dolphins unless you want meme's grace with the real crime being they need water and air to live or they'll die so having them in idle chunks kills them. You can still farm budding amethyst, it doesn't need to be moved in order to make a collection system around it. It's a little more annoying but you can still farm them if needed, automatically too

What is the next update about? I'm guessing an old mob vote loser is coming? Can't think of anything else for "drops." If they're working on anything big it'll be an end update or something and it won't be done. Nothing good is ever released in Q1.

They said the copper golem being added was an exception, it doesn't mean they will start adding every mob vote loser. They wanted to make a copper drop and realized the copper golem would fit, and they found a good use for it.
>>
>>552907170
>>552908101
One of the biome vote mobs most likely then, adding more lost mob votes would make people mad and also expect more losers to be added. So something like the vulture for deserts, it was part of the desert update that lost but they've already added cactus flowers, short/tall dry grass and new sound effects for sand blocks. Vultures would be completely useless so it tracks

Made little "openings" to some roof sections, I want them to be like air/heat vents if it ever gets too warm inside and they can be closed inside whenever it's too cold and they want to keep the warmth in. But what I want to know is some thoughts on the supports for the dark oak beams, is it too much? I have a bad habit of over designing when I should keep things simple

Don't worry about the monotonous deepslate roof and tuff base, that'll all be dealt with later

It is funny how even though Java is overall significantly superior to bedrock, there are just a handful of features on Bedrock that are good but just never got backported. I don't know enough about minecraft to know if its because their dev team is incredibly incompetent or if Minecraft is just so old that its becoming increasingly impossible to work on anything without breaking 100 other things.

Some things would just take a bit of work, and when Microsoft enforces parity, you don't really have the time to put a month of development on getting snowlogged flowers or movable tile entities working on Java. But they've been doing a lot of under-the-hood stuff recently, so maybe they're working toward it

The answer is just to make new interesting and better loot, which many add ons have done. One simple one is let you salvage armor so when armor drops you can get some metals from it (its not like we dont have farms for all those metals anyway), some way to convert enchantments from dropped gear to books and add rare enchantments that are loot table only so you have to get them as loot, and just reworking drop rates entirely.

The themes of many of the updates it feels like have been more casual friendly ways to automate things that encourage you to build your own functional designs without the copy paste "x" farm off a 30 second video into your world to solve "x" resource scarcity.

Yeah rabbits were huge when they were first added, basically moreso like hares. Then in the very next update, 1.9, they:

>shrunk them

They could do something simple like locking aging of animals behind food, feed them once and that triggers their growth process. Then add an advancement about feeding baby animals with subtext along the lines of "Feed a baby animal to help it grow" or something. People generally hate breeding animals and waiting for them to grow for food, opting for potatoes, golden carrots or porkchops from hoglin farms, as well as people often spam feeding babies anyway to help speed up their growth I doubt anyone would object to feeding them once to kick off aging or at least not many people would

>>
>>553081807
Every donkey found in the wild can jump high enough to get over that wall. You didn't make any progress yet if you have 50% that don't make that (the ones that end up rolling below their parents).

Just get a datapack or mod that shows you the speed / height / health of the donkey. Contrary to what >>553083812 says, breeding gets slower the closer to the max you get, it is the fastest at the start, since its easier for you to tell which donkey is better now and there is more room to the top.
I personally went to a 3.5 block jump by breeding and testing and then went to a 5 block by looking at values to quickly discard.
You also want to use the overall better donkey. If a donkey gets you 0.2 block jump higher, but loses 4 points of health, it's a worse donkey. Breeding for only one stat and THEN looking for the others is a losing game.
You can build a sugar cane farm to get sugar to feed to baby donkey to grow them fast.
When you breed, you can throw a trash item at the ground and when it despawns you know that you can breed again.

Pro tip:
All your discount ecelebs use mods to tell the speed, health and jump as well. A snowladder can only tell you an improvements of >0.125 block jump. If they tell you that they went above 5 block jump by breeding and testing on snow, they are lying to you.
You would accidentally discard the better donkey half of the time, you would be breeding blind at that point.

the old baby animals were just adult animals with shrunken bodies. They looked like shit
>>
>>553089746
I just started breeding today. Don't think I've produced a dozen offspring yet. If 14.57 blocks/sec is the max speed, then all that I probably want is something about 11-12 blocks/sec, ~3-4 block jump height, and 14+ hearts. Just need something to make moving around my village a little easier while providing extra, movable storage for some of my most commonly used blocks and accessories.
I've never installed a data pack before, but I think that I'm probably going to. I saw on the wiki that you could get those stats with F3+i, but I've tried that and it only produces the coordinates of the donkey, not anything about its health, jump height, speed, etc.

I recently got click baited by one of those "I did X in Mindcraft Hardcore" videos by SB737 and another by trey ovard, and while I liked the concepts of each video (making a bedrock farm in survival and beating all the april fool's updates respectively) I really hate that ADHD zoomer editing style. are there any good tubers out there doing similar stuff in a less annoying way?

I wholly disagree with the other anon. Long-angled roofs look better from the side and looking at this, head on. It's very interesting form and structure, and the shape of a build does a lot of heavy lifting for how good it looks. Though, this ought to be a special location with that design. The shorter roof isn't going to stand out as much, so it's less likely to clash or overshadow other builds, however.

Well, if it's supposed to be the leader's house, it could use additional embellishments. All of them together won't look good, but it definitely should stand out and display wealth via complexity, labor required, or exotic materials. So, two suggestions that come to mind are patterns in the roof design and also to use a different trim. Mangrove trim instead of spruce immediately comes to mind. Striking color, exotic wood type.

When youtubers do those "I Survived 100 Days Doing Meth in Minecraft" videos or whatever, do they mean 100 IRL days or just 100 Minecraft days? Because 100 Minecraft days is only like 33 hours, half that if they are sleeping through the night the majority of the time

Just found this super simple and easily buildable recall machine browsing youtube.

Basically it teleports you whenever you sleep in a bed, and at no other time. It literally turns beds into a recall item. It doesn't work on big SMPs obviously but for single player or just playing with your friends its super powerful.

My world is locked to hard but I just encountered my 1st death, to a creeper of all things and the worst kind: The Drop Creeper. Never dying to drop creepers ever again, fool me once etc

The new models are also derpy and charming. The old ones were like that literally just because they didn't want to work on individual models and textures when they were doing the breeding update. These are more fitting with the minecraft artstyle and are pixel consistent. They are just superior to the old lazy ones.

I remember once my family was visiting a family friend's house a long time ago, and one of their kids that I grew up with suggested we play minecraft. He booted it up, saw they added rabbits, and said, "Aww did they ruin the game?" and soured the whole mood and didn't want to play anymore because it wasn't exactly as he remembered. I had a similar thing happen with a friend and colored beds. I'm still going to keep playing Minecraft, and I generally like things that get added in updates, I just prefer the old models and textures for the baby animals. I don't know what to tell you

I bought the game before they owned it and have not spent a dime on it since. Updates are usually good, they disappoint by not adding stuff not by adding stuff.

I feel like there's a huge gap between the experience of players who follow every single update and the people who play like once a year or less. Minecraft has ALWAYS been changing, but people take a break and expect that mojang only added things they wanted and didn't change anything they remember as if they are owed the version that exists in their mind.

It's a very old feature that doesn't serve any purpose anymore.
It was added back when mobs would try to pathfind to your bed when you slept so that they could wake you up in the middle of the night. So they added that distance to try to prevent players from cheesing that mechanic.
The feature didn't work properly though, so they added a temporary replacement. The "you may not rest now, there are monsters nearby" message. But Mojang can't be decisive so we've had the temporary fix for over a decade and we've had the distance requirement from the original implementation.

Short enough to be fully chopped from the base? This includes doing stuff like breaking a block above the bottom log and hopping on it to break the rest of the tree, and I have on occassion placed a log or a piece of dirt below me to jump up just a little higher to finish chopping.
But yeah, if it's short enough to clear from the base without much trouble, bottom to top. Stuff like mega spruce trees I either fly up to the top and go top to bottom (i mostly prefer this), or i chop a staircase into the logs from the bottom, then break the stair logs on the way down. It really just depends how I'm feeling.
Dark oak, pale oak, top to bottom always pretty much.
Jungle is same as big spruce.

>>553338518
A lot of the builders that I like, what they're making this season just isn't relevant to what I want to build. I build small and am always on foot, so I try to add depth and highlights with walls and varying blocks of the same/similar material (polished versus brick versus raw, for example). They're more 'painting with blocks' and I don't do that. I've improved as a builder since I started watching them. I need to improve with form, shape, depth, patterns, and block selection, but they're mostly producing flat mega builds until they start inserting 30 different block types to add shading and texture.

Originally it was just a decorative block meant for building. With the Nether update, it became the "leaf" block of the crimson trees, making it way easier to obtain. If they had made it possible to break it down into nether wart at that point, it would have made nether wart far too easy to obtain, and so they didn't. I'm honestly in favor of that. What they should have done, though, is to change the red nether brick recipe to use wart blocks, and add blue nether bricks crafted from warped wart blocks

Finally starting to get some donkeys that I'd consider to be 'good enough.' Going to breed up some more just to have some spares, worst case scenario, because this took quite a bit of time. Got eight shulkers--stone, cobble, slate, dark oak, spruce, dirt, decorative stone, and decorate wood--to load onto my final ass.
Speed test in the background.

I get by with a simple mob grinder, especially if it's close to where you spend a lot of time. If I need to go out anywhere I just afk near by to stock up some more. Remember that tier 3 rockets are a meme, just make tier 1
>>
>>553352318
If you could add exactly one full block to the game, what would it be?
>>

>Remember that tier 3 rockets are a meme, just make tier 1
It does make sense that making three times as many rockets with the same amount of gunpowder cancels out whatever practical difference there is between the types.

quad witch farm for me. you could also do a ghast farm, pretty easy to build now

A Lava absorber
When placed near lava, its remove a 2x2 blocks of lava, and became a "lava lamp" that cause damage to the touch, but not spread fire.

Maybe you can "empty" the lava from the block, but only 1 bucket (maybe extract it on other way?)

Its needs a cool Minecrafy name tho

Im sure it will be good in like 6 years once its out of EA. I am tempted to buy it tomorrow though just to mess around in it but I know what Im getting into with EA crap that most likely ends up as abandonware.

Hypixel has infinite money though from children buying MTX on his server so it has a good shot of actually getting across a finish line and beyond and the engine seems significantly more powerful than minecrafts.

Maybe an Ink Block, you need 9 inksacks or 8 inksack + a dye (giving you all the dye colors inkblocks)

If you place it on a small body of water (maybe 64 or less water blocks in volume) its turn the water on the color of the Inkblock.

Inkblocks dont behave like fluid, they are full block colored like the ink, maybe with the same detail of glowing skids as accent, but on the adequate colors.

Colored water behave the same as normal water (you can fish and boat on it normally)

I'd only be ok with this if they don't add some gay animation, but they absolutely will

I am just starting a new world after a 3 year break. What mile stones do you think I should go for this round?

I used AtLauncher this time, it made modding sodium and lithium really simple for me.

I think I am going to go sailing on my boat and look for a village. I was thinking a monster grinder would be good after that, but last time I made it the grinder totally sucked (it was like a 10 floor 11x11 grinder that got all the monsters to go to the middle shaft and die with water.) I don't really want to spend all day mining for diamond when I could be building a cool temple. As well, I have to consider building an enchanting table so my diamonds that I do find last way longer with efficiency..

>gay animation
Gay animation + weird Pet "purr" sound
>>
>>553362303
Last time I started over, I just went straight for an armorer/toolsmith to get diamond gear trades and started building. When a pickaxe can be replaced for ~20 emeralds, it's easy to delay setting up enchanting, getting mending, etc.
>>
>>553363052
Wow, I totally forgot how great traders are. I guess I'll make a bread farm and breed villagers.
>>
>>553363052
>just happened to get a mending villager in the village next to spawn
>buy a couple shitty iron picks from wandering traders
>combine and add mending
actually made a cheap tool feel good to use
even now, my new fortune pick is iron, and I don't see any point in replacing it
>>
tfw modern minecraft is permanently stuck between the more basic diy feel of the older versions and the fun optimizable autism factories of modded and can't reach the satisfaction of either...
>>
>>553357520
I get using tier 3 rockets for long-distance flying, the problem is that no-one wants to bring two stacks with them and switch depending on what they're doing at the moment. I don't people would use them even if they were buffed significantly

Blast charge, crafted from TNT and iron. Basically a stronger TNT that only explodes in one direction, making it great for digging out tunnels and the like. Would obviously have to be a directional block. I'd probably pick something else if you mean a full set of block, stair, slab, etc., but that's what I'd pick for a single block with where the game currently is
>>
>>553369916
you can already make rail cannons with the current tnt mechanics. making it too easy is boring imo
>>
>>553369461
I'm leaning towards making rockets on the go when I'm flying in the overworld. Sugarcane is everywhere and I'll just wait for night and snipe a bunch of creepers because I'm carrying a bow and a looting sword, it's actually pretty convenient for replacing the rockets I've consumed.
>>
>>553355190
There's alternatives to rockets, spear with lunge 3 and trident with riptide. And of course you need an xp farm for the mending.
>>
>>553378416
also wind charge or enderpearl launchers to get up high and then you can just glide. I wish the punch bow trick still worked

Is there a way to get the launcher to download from the ms store on win10 LTSC? I get error 0x80070003 when trying to download
>>
>>553382578
You could use the third-party launcher if you're already logged in to the store, I suppose

Will mobs pathfind away from magma the way they will falls or lava?
>>
>>553387468
You need to be more specific when it comes to mob pathing, some mobs avoid magma blocks as they would with lava or falling while others will walk over it. What mobs are you talking about?

>>553378416
Doesn't the trident thing only work when it's raining? Such an odd quirk of the weapon since there's rarely an opportunity to fly with it.
>>
>>553392042
I fucking swear there was a short prerelease period where riptide didnt need rain and people were making "roads" out of little pools of water floating in the sky
>>
>>553397592
You can still do that. Riptide requires either rain or water.
>>
>>553382578
I'm not sure you'll find help with that here
>>553383956
He didn't say bedrock
>>
>>553392042
It works in water, so you can cross oceans and rivers fast with it and launch yourself out of them and activate your elytra, or carry a water bucket around to do the same.

Use the slants, but put trees or something to block the bad angles. It's a nice unique build, reminds me of the Sydney Opera house.
