All Im here to do in this post is sing my praises to the built in voice changer this game has. They pass off as human so well.

Im trans (born female, now a man) and Its usually very difficult to join in on voice chat in games because my voice is very feminine, which leads to harassment yes, but a harder hitting issue for me personally is it makes people automatically assume im a girl.

I decided to try the built in voice changer, because ive never played a game that offered that before. The first time i used it to shout "Im friendly!" I was greeted with an "all good, brother". Just like that. I know most of you wont understand this, but Ive never felt happier while playing a game. I was immediately recognized as a boy without any questions or explanations, and that NEVER happens online.

There really was no point to this rant other than to say thank you, embark, even if it wasnt your intention with these voice changers, youve made this game that much more enjoyable for me.

Ferro 4 is TRASH

I haven't used one in so long since I'm always finding green and blue guns and I'm in friendly lobbies. Got put in a bunch of pvp lobbies so decided to bring cheaper weapons until I'm back in friendly ones.

Tried using a ferro 4 to hunt snitches and its so bad compared to an anvil 4. A ferro 4 is probably like an anvil 1 or maybe 2. The Anvil hits just as hard but fires way faster at 4. I thought it would be at least somewhat comparable as my toros and stitcher 4s seem relative to my blue and purple guns but the anvil is blown out of the water.

Why do certain things like the jolt mine just not work sometimes. Dude rounds a corner, my jolt mine goes off, doesn't stun him in any way shape or form, then he kills me with a shotgun. Like, cool, thanks game. Every time I get hit with a jolt mine I'm stunned for 9 millennium. I know you can dodge roll some of the things. But I am 100% positive he just walked around the corner and it didn't stun him at all. He was being chased by a wasp or some shit, I heard it. So I really doubt he was knowing/expecting a jolt mine to be in that exact spot.

You should only ever use keys on condition maps (night, snow, etc) because the loot pool is generously bumped. Snow is probably the best option. Keys on regular maps shouldn't be used at all unless you find it in game (ex: finding a buried city residential key while playing on buried city).

I found a town hall key on a regular condition map and got a bobcat, vulcano, tons of blues/greens and a blueprint I didn't have. I only use keys I find for other maps if it's a condition. Could keys be buffed? Yeah sure, but the amount of hate they get is silly. Maybe all augments should have a free keyring slot; you're telling me a 10 gram key takes up the same space as a torrente?

You can roll jolt mines consistently if you know the timing (slow roll, not sprint, the slower the better so if you're fatrolling you get even more protection). Not to mention that it's easy to set one off and just back up out of the radius or if you put it on a wall it might just fly passed them.

You should only ever use them on night. EMS and Cold Snap are garbage for keys too. Someone did like 20 key runs for each condition and night was like 2m value while coldsnap and ems barely broke 500k value. Night also increases spawns of loot on the ground, like in town hall and the power rod room.

Keys are more about guaranteed unlooted containers than better loot.

Is there not a problem mechanically with things like KOS? If you aren't KOSing, you will be KOS'd. You stand to gain absolutely nothing and lose everything if you don't KOS. Yes I know there are friendly players/lobbies, I've played with/in a bunch of them. I don't even mean this from an ARC only perspective, but EFT/etc too. And also not just kills. If you don't sprint to the good loot locations, others are, which forces you to bring adren. shots or else be fucked by the stamina system.

Like, aren't these things just bad game design? What is your opinion?

I played in Chungartha for so long that I didn't even acknowledge the naked kit orange ryder running at me with a pickaxe from behind. At point blank range he beat me with a fucking pickaxe and I had a 30 mag fully loaded stitcher. I need to start pvping again, that complacency is unacceptable.

The weapon tiers are just fucked, much like the skill tree. Why are all of the blue tier guns medium ammo? The venator, a handgun with two barrels, doesn’t use light ammo and doesn’t consume 2 rounds per shot. Either the renegade or the osprey should have been a heavy ammo gun, but embark is fucking retarded so here we are. The Bettina should be semi auto and kick like a mule but have a similar damage profile to the ferro and anvil.

And the worst part is, this isn't even a case of "players will find a way to optimize the fun out of the game" because it's practically impossible to progress if you try to play normally and occasionally kill people (unless you metagame the system by occasionally playing in chungartha to make money), in solos at least. Hairpin on level 4 should cost way more and do cool shit like tagging an enemy.

i'm betting my survival rate is something like 70% despite almost always making at least a kill per raid

In solo I always kill on sight and easily get out with 50-150k almost every time.

In trios/duos I lose 80% of games even when my teammates has heavy shields, shit is completely random.

Also you can easily just loot buried city for ~50k in 3-5minutes looting raid and make 5M in less than a week but thats mind numbing gameplay.

i was playing this game casually with a buddy. last 4 matches we got killed on sight by others, no chance whatsoever. i uninstalled it now. there is no appeal to this game. there is no goal to play forward to. the balancing is shit, the pvp is bad, up to the point that the robots are just extras to fuck you up while fighting for your live against some sweats. embark as a studio is a joke. for someone priding themselves they are the og kings og battlefield their games are obnoxiously bad balanced in terms of cheaters, long-term fun and methods to contain abusers. this game will be dead by summer 26.

i found a venator blueprint which is sick, but crafting/upgrading them is so annoying without a medium gun parts blue print. being a seedcuck just to get enough to craft one (1) venator (no upgrades) per day sucks. this game makes it way too tedious to use your cool shit so i just end up going back to ferro since i have its upgrade materials in abundance

ferro is the middleground. its still usuable in pvp, shoot with ferro to lead off with it and switch to your other weapon. and yes, that is how it should be. ferro is still strong but once you have an anvil, youd want to use that. that is good progression not this

I used to think all the loot was worthless and had no point but after I got more than half my blueprints unlocked I'm picking up stuff people left behind even in late spawn.
Example like coolants or air filters, water pumps that are often unlooted but I know those break down into oil that I am always out of because I craft the epic grenades all the time to hit bigger arcs with.

Even metal and chemicals I just loot now and make ammo to magdump with, it all has value when you are using it and playing normally.

Trigs will be nerfed to the ground, greys will remain oppressive. Pretty sure they won't actually fix kettle, they'll lower the fire rate a bit but not nearly enough. None of this matters though as even if they do it right, the game will still have like 15 other major problems.

Open up Steamcharts and look at the graph in the weeks before Cold Snap, this is what it looks like when the game competes on its own merits without holiday season, price discount and FOMO event. I don't think the game will really drop off at this point though, I expect it will be Diablo 4 of extraction shooters where it is only ever played by hyper-casuals who don't know any better. Another thing is that it owes a lot of its numbers to online shooter drought that's been going on this year, just look at Twitch - everyone big who streams ARC is a CoD/Fortnite has-been. This game won't drop off right away, but it is one good Call of Duty away from losing 70% of its playerbase.

I've played probably 100+ times and will go to the hospital just for fabric and chemicals and see if anything is unlooted, and guaranteed every time every single container is open except for a few people forget

There are literaly youtube videos showing you to run for that one room with all the lockers on the 3rd floor, and that is literally what everyone does now. to the point the drawers around that area aren't looted and never have anything in them anyway

Makes me think some containers do have very high spawns for blueprints while others are like what? .01% chance ? considering it does happen, just not as often as some of these fags that somehow get 6 blueprints every 30 minutes

You literally can not farm for BPs, do trials, or do anything related to PvE. Can't do queen. Can't do Matriarch. Being on PvP servers feel more like a punishment than playing the game. At least for Solos.


I doubt there's anyone here who plays on the PvP serves that are able to actually get decent placement on trial leader boards.

Also, I bet none of them have any Money, or come anywhere close to getting their expedition stuff done or workshop benches.

Meanwhile many of us Chungartha players have well over 5million credits already and multiple legendary guns and very high ranked on leader boards.
