One thing for Luci; the H followup to stance, the yellow sword swinging down, appears further out than this now. That's the one he uses to anti-air. So if your typical move for when you see Luci's at full screen chargin' up his specials is to run up and then jump right before you get there to get over the L/M stance followups, that should be slightly better now than it was before. Luci has to be a bit more pre-emptive on the swing.

Current trend seems to be "extremely overbearing system mechanics that allow you to just throw yourself at the enemy". And seeing as how several modern fighters have found success with such mechanics, I don't see the trend changing anytime soon.
