I really just don't like Celeste. Her passive is too gameplay-defining in a bad way. I feel like there's no point for 90% of the playerbase to ever play her, and i'm not even being hyperbolic, if you can't bunnyhop at the very least you shouldn't be playing Celeste, because you're just using a character with half a kit at that point. You're playing a crippled character. Such a vast amount of her power is tied to your ability to abuse arcane and obtuse movement tech that she feels like a character that it feels pointless for most people to play her. At least right now her stats are overtuned so you can get away with just spamming abilities, but once she gets nerfed she'll become a character arbitrarely restricted by how much time you're willing to spend practicing weird gameplay mechanics that aren't really parts of the game, but rather engine quirks. It feels like bad design.

I've been looking at builds of top Bebop players and I can't understand why so many are buying Lifestrike. Even if you're building for a full melee build (crushing fists, spirit snatch, melee lifesteal), the amount of healing Lifestrike provides, at any given time, is about 270hp, with healing booster, around 325. That's kind of a shitty investment, especially considering how susceptible to parry you'll become. I understand it's supposed to "synergize" with the changes to uppercut, but it would make more sense to buy a 3200 tank item for more effective amounts of HP than a measly amount of HP if you land a hook. Someone higher rank than Oracle enlighten me.
