If you ever decide you want to tackle end game content, you'll basically be required to max out the entire sphere grid anyway, so no matter what you want to do, you can't really get fucked over. Choose "Expert" if you can, it's just better. Iirc, it starts each character closer to the center so that you can "choose" your class if you want. A very popular strategy is to move Yuna over to Lulu's part of the sphere grid pretty much ASAP, because Yuna is generally a better mage than Lulu, and iirc, the big heal spells are near Lulu's sphere grid anyway, so you can also get those earlier.

Poor girl needs all the help she can get.Honestly the best use I got out of her was during the Weiss fight since it's the only time having high MATK matters to a significant, consequential degree.Not sure about Rebirth, as I've only played through it once on Normal and Hard respectively so far, but I think combining Fleeting Familiar and Tempest was a good move at least, and Ward Shift at least makes the whole "having to play around Wards" thing less of a problem. I'll have to play around with her more in Rebirth to see if I can get more out of her there on my next playthrough.

Remake had sold 7m prior to Rebirth releasing. Remake continued to sell, however many copies it was, and Rebirth probably sold around 2m, maybe a a little more. Then you have the Switch version of Remake, which SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE (#ad) which actually amounted to about 30k physical, plus however much digitally. They're also shoving the Switch version of Rebirth out, most likely to help aid the Remake series in reaching 10m total sales before Part 3 comes out, so that they can say "10m sold!" in the lead up to Part 3, as if that really means anything. There's also a datamined Red XIII minion for XIV. Maybe it's time for some people (perhaps You?) to realize that there's a 10 million ceiling on this series and the JRPG genre as a whole today, and when you make a sequel to a very flawed game in an already flawed series in a niche genre you're fighting a major uphill battle to get the mainstream (global) audience to care. FFXIII series sold well over 10 million copies in 5 years, so did FFXV, and so has VIIR. It doesn't go much higher than that for an FF game historically, especially for these modern FF games. So even when numbers are "bad", these major numbered FF projects (outside XVI) still sell 10 million+ copies.I like these games, but the major problem facing Final Fantasy is that player investment is too high for too little return. FFVIIR ends with a cliff hanger. Games like XIII, XV and XVI all have very different gameplay/tone/mechanics. The big general audience wants something authentic and cutting edge, but also familiar. There are tried and true methods to making a JRPG of high quality that most people like. E33 proved that the formula could work forever. Compare to FFXV and the multimedia nightmare that you have to endure to try and get the full picture of the story. Look at FFVII compilation. Look at FFXIII trilogy. It's niche, weird, segmented, schizo. Not mainstream.Resident Evil has been able to reinvent its own tone, story and mechanics.
