The 3D games usually use the other bosses to make up for the variety. Even if there IS talk of a third movie floating around Illumination and Nintendo, it's going to be near impossible to top the sheer amount of hype they've built up for the Galaxy movie. Couple all this with the fact that Miyamoto had no hand in the development of the Game Boy or SML 1 and 2, those were entirely on R+D1, therefore Daisy and Wario are considered "lower rung" among his priorities. Just look at how long it took them to finally reference something from the first SML game that wasn't just the Birabuto theme or Daisy herself, and Wario Land representation is somehow even more slim than that. Given the company's history with those games, it's honestly easier to just assume they'll skip over the Game Boy era (again). It'll make the disappointment hurt a little less.

I have now done all of Wonder's Switch 2 content aside from multiplayer shit and grinding water to get the seventh medal. A good step up in challenge. A little disappointing that there was no secret Final-Final-Final Test. The endgame challenges were legitimately hard, especially the final time attack. The new bosses are probably 2D Mario's best bosses just because they're more involved than your typical 2D Mario bosses. Disappointing there was no matchmaking or solo mode for the park attractions. Forcing players to heavily grind to get the final medal is also pretty shit. At most, it should have just been getting all of the decorations for the single player side of the DLC. Single player-wise, it adds what should have been in Wonder to begin with, but it's still pretty light so it's probably only worth getting a discounted key somewhere.

It's not worth it, after doing all of the challenges I only had enough flowers to fully complete the arch and fountain in the camp. You can get enough for a full 8 pull by playing the Expert Challenge that you're the elephant for over and over again but the park has two arches and two fountains with the same requirements as the ones in the camp in addition to two other things to fully unlock the decorations on. Probably fine if you're doing multiplayer though.
