>>561302597Tbh anon a Destiny clone is an incredibly risky game to create. Pretty much most if not all FPS MMO-lite games are all dead. As for TPS you only really have Division and Warframe. The only other 2 that would possibly had any competition with Destiny in the past if they weren't mismanaged would've been Firefall and Defiance. Firefall was probably the closest since it was also an FPS MMO game. Defiance came out before Destiny and even came out on Consoles back in the 360 and ps3 days. You can still play Defiance now but you can tell and really feel its a MMO shooter from 2013. A Destiny clone that appeals to both PvP and PvE players like Destiny has done is near impossible due to the actual amount of developers you would need to upkeep it with regular content across the entire game. Bungie changed their content model because waiting for just expansions bored people to tears and thats when the seasonal slop started to try and get content out faster and more often. If Bungie or any other studio wanted to make a successful D3 it would take them no less than 7-8 years of development because they could not afford a D1 or D2 launch situation with basically only 4 planets, some strikes, campaign and a raid.

If you're lucky you can still grind for public events in the old destinations with other players, but the light gear there is permanently locked to 200-300LL so you are wasting your time there. I don't think Sony is going to do anything to Bungie, the bones of Marathon are incredible. More likely they'll just dump money in and eventually Marathon will have its own Fallout 76 or Destiny pivot moment where it turns into a huge success. Doomuncs are getting ahead of themselves...
