>>563288748there was a 6-month period where i became interested in lucid dreaming and was able to increase the frequency to one instance every other week. there were periods where i had multiple a week. i'm unsure how valid the techniques i read at the time were but they worked well for me. it mainly centered around habitually "grounding" yourself when conscious (personally, i would visually inspect my hands when entering rooms) which leads to you attempting it in your dreams, the check failing, and you becoming lucid. dream journaling also helps and i tried but waking up in the middle of the night, grabbing a pen and paper, and trying to recall everything tends you wake you up and it ruined my sleep quality.it's fun though it takes some effort to maintain the practice and the dream-state. if you get too excited about the lucidity then you risk waking up. if you get panicked about waking up then you're definitely waking up. if you can stay relaxed and just carefree while creating within the dream then you can stay there for, what feels like, a decently long time. if you're someone that can get paranoid and have thoughts turn negative then you'll wake up if your mood shifts.
