How the fuck do you climb out of celestial with all the dogshit jeff OTPs? Fucking hell, this is so difficult that I cant even figure it out.
I've never seen so many until this season, its actually appalling how many of them there are, because you cant do anything with a Jeff when the entire enemy team change to Starlord, Psylocke, Phoenix, Punisher to just punish your backline nonstop. There are so many of these little faggots that you cannot avoid them, because you quickly run out of avoids.

I'm so exhausted of this game right now, because it feels like you need the planets to align just to get a win or be able to win. Today I fought so hard for multiple Celestial II rankups into Celestial I and they all ended in disaster because I just kept getting Jeff or people swapping into Jeff. I got Jeff so many times that I actually won a couple matches, and we only won because It's a statistical improbability to not win with him eventually, but the probability hinges on teammates carrying the player in question. I checked my match history and I saw him on my team for like 4 or 5 matches straight which equated to an after school special length. and I even got him for like 10 or so matches today. Do you want to know something funny? I have literally lost with him on the new map like 4-5 times and I've played it like maybe 8 times.
I had matches where Jeff players would swap to Invisible Woman, Luna, Cloak & Dagger, Rocket, Mantis and White Fox way too late into what could have been a comeback and they would do better but it was already over. Your team lost too much space, the team's ultimate economy was completey fucking cooked on top of it. I even played against a couple champion jeff players who would tilt after one death and go straight to a meta healer. And it's like, where is that initiative when I have one? I've tried not saying anything to them in hopes that their bullshit meter overflows, but it doesn't. It's like if one of them see you slightly carrying the game, they wont get off of it, but at the same time I dont want to blatantly throw just to get them to stop playing it.
Today I queued against a Jeff player and by god the game gave him such a stacked team that they tried EVERYTHING to work around this little nigga, they tried going trip with CnD, Mantis, they tried going GOATs with Thor, Hulk, Groot, but eventually we just 3/0d them and they couldn't leave their spawn on their turn, in fact the other non jeff healer was so angry that he just went afk

Look, all I want to do is get back to diamond and get a border, that's it. I've done it before. However it's so frustrating to solo queue, and when you have a full time job. Loser queue is real too. Had one awesome match at the start, got paired with a one trick Squirrel Girl the next, then next match got cancelled by a thrower, then the following match was yet another loss with crap DPS who disconnected resulting in a surrender. So once again, a session has one step forward, two steps back to keep me where I am. This is what I get for warming up in Quickplay and having back to back wins. I am ashamed to be stuck in gold this season I know I'm better than this, because I've done it.

I dont even understand why you guys are playing this game right now. It's in such a terrible state that you cant even have a quality match without someone losing their head.
I saw multiple teams including my own FF these last couple sessions because they realize the problematic person on their team wont adhere to fixing the problem, so you just have to surrender and avoid the player. You know what really grinds my gears? Problem since season 0; players cannot prioritize enemy targets worth a damn. Situational awareness is nonexistent. I'm not even talking about picking counters, I'm talking about dealing with the most important target at any given time. Most DPS, and bad tanks, are fucking meat grinding into the opposition rather than figuring out who is vulnerable and who should be dealt with systematically. And it's not even restricted to shit negative score players too, as for example a positive Spidey or Black Panther can kill at all the wrong times. It's ultimately about space kept, and running out the clock, that's it. A flier? Fucking shoot them first. A tank pushing all the way into your backline? Everyone stop and kill it, then move on to next enemy target. Enemy healer retreating back to spawn? Maybe let it go, and regroup to further fortify the point.

i took some advice on how to play Felicia that i saw in the thread yesterday, and i kinda clicked. She's fun but never going to be my main character, her items aren't all that useful and theres a lot of other characters who do what she does better. I've been a tank main since the game came out, but I'm genuinely not doing it this season - I'll pick healer if I need to in the few ranked matches im gonna do, and just chuck squids as Namor every other match.
Hoping the PVE is fun, but if its the same fucking roster and one or two more characters i doubt i'll play it past the first day, the zombies mode got boring in under an hour because i didnt like any of the playable heroes

i wasn't getting any kills at all until i started really using the whip on crowds that weren't aware of me yet. its strong as hell and a good finishing move, but like you said, you have to work your ass off to get a few charges of it. then you have to sucessfully find your way into the crowd and pick off your target, then pray you get out alive. i've been playing sue for a year+ now, so i started using her invisibility boost a lot to get away and it helps, but again - it cost a good amount of your stack so there goes your next attack. back to scrounging for change

Strategists are not like Supports in Overwatch at all.
Strategists are effectively healbots with extreme amounts of outgoing healing and in a game with no proper antiheal. They have CC, high mobility, self heal and huge healing ults.
Compare Gambit to any Support in Overwatch and you'll see how absurd they are in MR while also being insanely strong healers.

its been about 2 years since i played overwatch but if i recall correctly, trying to kill a support in that game is a herculean task because of how the game plays. generally as dps you are slow as shit, your gun does 0 damage at range, so you have to basically walk through the enemy tank somehow (you will die during this step). you are really just incentivized to play off of your tank and slowly look for openings that happen due to the enemy's error. there was some game design wisdom by gabe newell 25 years ago when he said "video games is when you make the game respond to what you are doing" and overwatch is the mathematical antithesis to that idea. overwatch is a game that does not respond to anything you do in it, things just happen and you have to cope with it.

rivals duelists have way more mobility and tools in general, so they can off angle, poke at range with better fall off and generally infiltrate the enemy's line. and whether or not you kill a luna as a hela is more up to whether you actually position correctly, hit your shots and play around her abilities. matchups feel a lot more predetermined in overwatch because heroes are slow, predictable and gay in general. unless you want to suggest there is anything similar to spiderman or black panther in overwatch. there are times when i don't like playing marvel rivals, and when it starts to eerily remind me of playing overwatch, but at worst i think the game is just retarded, badly balanced and run by morons, but the game has never offended me for being such a terrible mockery of the concept of a video game like overwatch does

people don't understand her kit yet and many are over emphasizing her shop mechanic. she actually has a really straightforward gameplay/combo route where you just steal coins with E and try to get some juicy cleaves, you can completely ignore her shop. also she doesn't play like panther/spider where she's just unreactably killing the backline. her numbers are pretty solid though imo
