We know that even if people didn't have the force, they would just use nukes or conventional warfare to destroy the galaxy, like the mandalorians did multiple times. You don't need the force to be a galactic menace, and plenty of people with the force are not galactic menaces.kotor2 is incredibly well written and is a perfect example of a game that is carried by it's characters, dialogue, and questions it asks the player. Kreia is mistaken, but in a believable, realistic way, and despite being mistaken she makes some valid points about the cycle of destruction related to the force, even if her blame is misplaced. It's such a good conversation and character. I love the character and I love that game.

I like that it feels different. RT is the power fantasy. DH is the grunt work simulator. They should feel like two different games. I wouldn't say combat is harder, it's just slower paced and requires actual thinking ahead. In RT even early game you can just charge in with your warriors while having your backliners shoot shit from cover. You try to do that in DH and your warrior will very quickly get killed.I also like playing detective.

The heal is nice and clears DoTs if you put the Bezoarium mod on it, and her slaughter injection is amazing, the amount of defense that thing gives will mitigate a ton of damage in the long run. You want to specialize her in AoE weapons as much as possible. In the alpha the flamer was her best weapon, but they got nerfed, so just use whatever the best Melta/Flamer/Shotgun you have at the time. I've been running her with a melta / claw+flamer pistol (church reputation store) with a lot of success. Get self-surgery on her right away for survivability, and keep her in some nice medium armor. Get Experimental Utilization so her AoEs have a chance to randomly crit a body part on hit. Make her a Tactical Manuevers and AoE Specialist for her rank ups. Upgrade her Bullet Storm to Overwhelming Bullet Storm (forces enemies hit to roll Mettle and lose 3 morale if they fail). Get her Dash as well for mobility.I keep her behind Cogg for cover typically. She runs out, double-shoots for some damage, applies a lot of debuffs/crits/morale, dashes back behind him to safety, keeps him buffed and healed, and can run around healing others. She can also break concentration with Shockwave Shots when needed, and has enough movement and survivability to go run and push buttons for a turn or two. She isn't going to ever be your #1 damage dealer, but she's a great support and her attacks can be useful to if you play her right.

Put the Kill Zone mod on your Burst Attack so he can make up for his shitty range, put Trigger Frenzy on Lock and Load for the damage reduction, make him a Burst Fire & Heavy Armor specialist and give him the best armor you can. Finally get him Dash. Your Lock and Load stance limits you to 1 MP, but abilities that let you move a specific amount of tiles instead of granting MP like Dash or Larry's Guidance don't break it, so with that he can get around and keep his L&L stacks, and after a few turns his range will be so huge he can reach anywhere he needs (having an officer granting him extra actions and more heroics will greatly speed this up). Once you get a better stubber and his accessories you will be hitting the majority of shots, and if you take Chosen Target the damage to a single target stacks up fast, and he'll be your main way of mulching through high HP pools. For me he was ripping through the chaos spawn in the Saint's shrine faster than anyone else. He also destroys cover in usually a single volley, and is a decent off-tank if you have Cogg as your main (or do a good job keeping him in cover). You can also get him the upgrade where if he throws a frag grenade it's replaced with a new one from the backpack which can be pretty, though grenades seem a lot more limited in the beta compared to the alpha.

And there's a lot of random things that let you target something special to do something extra, like blowing up flamers or (insta-killing the crystal zombies), and being able to take out someone's arms to cuck their damage and break concentration is amazing. And from what I've seen daggers are just insane with how they totally ignore armor. Discordance (and Larry once you get two eldar daggers) can just waltz up to an enemy, precision stab them in the arm twice, and that enemy is very likely just totally crippled and worthless from that point on (though maybe in the full game there will be enemies more resistant or immune to that).
