They dont care about anything but getting as much exp as possible to reach 60 and start to do raids or pvp. The end game is the game for these guys. Doing raids. Doing battlegrounds. Occasionally they may go back and quest but it'll be mainly without the need for difficulty. They will have the fastest mount before anybody else. So they can actually "play" they might go back and max out their professions. They might make a new character so they have plenty of alts to do raids and get all the gear they want. The game isnt the game until level 60.

I tried restedxp on my third character to test it and while I recognize it's surely somewhat optimized it also seems stupid? It constantly demanded I grab as many boar asses as I could along the way to 14/buy a bunch of cooking shit for quests down the line and come that section of leveling (in which I did noting but follow the arrow never once deviating) I suppose I out leveled whatever quest it wanted me to cook for meaning I wasted like 15 minutes as I walked from hub to hub collecting boar asses. I recognize there's probably variance in mob kills total resulting in you leveling slightly earlier than intended on occasion but the entire gimmick of the thing, as told to me, was never deviate from the arrow and all things will line up 1:1.

elemental shaman actually does less dps than in vanilla. both much lower base damage and then even scales worse too, even if you include that curse of elements works on lightning bolt.but you don't go oom in 40 seconds so i guess they're buffed in the sense that they're actually playable on boss fights. but the dps numbers are such a joke and far behind any other caster (except smite, they're better than smite).

I don't really understand how Forever is going to differ from any other expansion cycle of just, get to max level and then raidlog two weeks in. If they're serious about this horizontal things they really need to fill the game with grinds, both solo and group, and some even you can do while lvling. One of the big criticisms of retail is that all the content is pushed to end game but from the looks of it Forever is following this trend. I don't get it, they really shouldn't want forever to be just another expansion where everyone gets bored of raid logging one month in and new patches/raids only bring back a fraction of the player base.
