Both of us were new. Couldn't reach 3rd floor, kept dying to chip dmg.
Plants with tracking projectiles are cancer.
Wall traps are cancer.
If someone dies, they are dead forever, couldn't find the way to revive.

Didn't hate it though, pretty fun overall.

Dungeons of Eternity has phenomenal reviews, I bought it, played for two hours, reached level 5 and refunded it. I felt like I completed everything there was to do. It scales you to whoever is highest level, so the only thing to do (Dungeons that give you stronger items) feel moot. The game is too simplistic imo
>>
>>1115847
Is it quest only? Reviews can't be trusted, especially on quest with all the kids. Even on steam 90% of reviews are written by people with 0 standards.
As for progression, it reminds me of After the Fall, where other players could just drop you guns with all the legendary attachments so you don't have to grind, and you want to do it because the grind there was pretty terrible.
Once you don't have to grind, you instantly realize that the game is basically empty

Try hosting lobbies of games you are interested in.
Most people who have VR for a while already played all the notable games, but still might join if someone hosts.

I'm free tonight, should I make a thread or is here fine, you think? Honestly would love to find people who would want to play Breacher.
>>
This Sunday, at 7PM GMT, I will host Protonwar deathmatch, possibly CTF if there's enough people. Mumble or Steam VC will be used for chat.

It's a Q3A clone with VR support that its developer made free on Steam after he stopped working on it, get it here:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/461410
This game came out in the CV1/Vive heydays so if you're playing with Index knuckles you'll have to unbind touch and click actions on joystick and touchpad on controller you're using to move, otherwise you'll keep jumping like retard.
>>
>>1119718
Here is fine, vr is pretty dead, so separate threads are not really needed.
>>
>>1119718
Keep it here. One active thread is better than multiple dead ones. If you want to increase the chance of more than one person showing up crosspost it into the /vg/ VR thread.

Btw, the relic which increases the dmg you take for extra dmg is very risky, it basically halves your hp till the end of the game and make every healing item only half as effective.
Not worth taking unless you are a god gamer imo.
Crossbow unlocks very fast, I think I got it in 2-3 MP games, so not worth stressing over.

if you have a pc that can run vr games I recommend playing some multiplayers games with vr mods so you can play in vr while they play normally, vivecraft, RoR2, valheim, deep rock
>>
>>1122799
I think I've figured it out while it feels so clunky.
At first I thought it's just dropping frames, so I decided to play with framegraph visible, but it's not the case at all, both CPU and GPU are finishing work in less than 3ms consistently.
It's just the "physics" simulation. The game either runs physics at half the framerate or it's like couple frames behind.

I've never noticed anything similar in other games.
So weird. It's full framerate but it just feels like shit.

The vivecraft server is back up, and updated. The dungeons worldgen mod that a anon requested has been added, but I didn't test it at all yet. Also added sound physics mod (should be great for vr) and craftable waystones. If you had it installed already and want to play again, delete the mods folder and drop in the new one from the download to update your instance.

It's thursday so I and possibly a few other anons will probably be on at some point tonight

The other big shooter is contractors, but it's full of tryhard retards who abuse playspace scaling to cheat + quest kids.
Pavlov is basically dead rn. WW2 push maps are fun, but often times you can't even get a server with people on it. Normal public servers are even more dead, with the exception of vrmassive, which is a big pile of trash.

70MB for a small scene, if that ever gets to mainstream, expect 1TB game sizes.
"550fps on 4090" claim is bullshit. For acceptable quality, you need lots of splats and lots of splats make even 4090 kneel.

I'm terrified of the size personally, splat starved objects don't look good, I would say worse than traditional photogrammetry with meshes and textures.
70mb for 1 square meter for acceptable quality is a bit too much for a big location. I wonder if anyone is looking into combining splats with traditional meshes to improve efficiency.
Getting quality scans is a problem too.

But if they could figure it out, there is nothing better for static scenes, yeah.

FUCK, now this is a VR thread? I've been stuck on the /vg/ VR thread, not knowing you guys existed.

Anyway I've been looking for some players to play Battlezone Gold (joystick game supported for VR), it's one of my favourite experiences, and would love to play it again due to lack of players. I would recommend trying the game out if you want a less tech-demoish game for once, but it's not worth buying unless there's a sale (it drops 80%+ off, currently full price)

You get a certain amount of activations per specific processor. It refreshes once in a while, don't remember exactly how often.
It's cancer, but if you have internet when you install it, it's not really a problem if you have a legit copy.
Bad implementation (drm check during hot loop like in RE Village which caused frame stutter) aside of course.

Only to the TF2 Source 2 project. They also instructed the Portal 64 project to stop due to inevitable issues from using a leaked Nintendo SDK.
TF2VR may have never even been in Valve's sights but those two projects plus Youtube videos being hit with (presumably false) DMCA notices spooked them.

It wasn't a bad idea. Company policy can change from backlash or shift their focus elsewhere, making it safe to reupload, whereas a cease and desist would shut it down permanently.

Man, I'm glad I got it when it was cheap because I love the game but no way would I pay 55 dollars for a VR title. Shame nobody's gonna get it because of the price now since it's actually pretty fun co-op and there's not much like it for co-op experiences.

It was also relatively expensive back then, compared to other vr games on steam, I mean.
I had it in my wishlist for the longest time, but the greedy gook only did small sales, so I never bought it.
Now the price is even higher.
>>
>>1179540
It really sucks because rarely do we get a PCVR first title and has numerous hours of co-op that's not PVE, but at that price you get way less room to go "well, it's a small indie VR game" and it's legitimately good and fun, EA with two friends was awesome, but I couldn't recommend it over 40 dollars and they're never going to put it on sale.

>>

It was expensive for such a rough early access launch too. The dev is extremely stubborn on price and blames everything else. Pricing any product based on your spent time and effort only works when you have enough demand in the first place.

The 1.0 patch was a big improvement and the game certainly has some interesting gameplay but I still think it's overpriced. The argument that if you want more full sized games you have to support it falls flat when there's a ton of missing quality, polish and thoughtful design that you'd expect from a $55 product. I want quality and quantity together.

Enemy placement, collision boxes, some questionably lower quality assets, awkward item hover UI and the whole toggle grip issue that suggests it wasn't even tested on an Index.
There's not even a sound effect when collecting gold coins! Videogame sound design 101, one of the most important and satsifying sound effects when done well. Missing from the final $55 product.

Someone pointed out that the price was much lower in the developer's home country. It's the equivilent to $40 in Korea. For some reason it's just higher priced everywhere else, even in much poorer countries.

What can I play on vr where I don't have to play army shooter or worry about anisoy gooners?

VR, unfortunately, is very fag infested in general.
I've met too many unapologetic homos even playing tabletop games in public lobbies ffs.
I don't think it's possible to get away from them completely if you play multiplayer vr. At best you can mitigate it by removing them from your close vicinity when they stay there longer than absolutely necessary.

The paper is not yet available on sci-hub so I couldn't read the whole version, but I think it might really put the "you don't really need an expensive PC for VR" argument to rest.
Game devs wouldn't be happy about that one.

Happy to see them using the correct term SS, instead of Motion Sickness like amateurs usually do.

Doesn't matter. I've read too many papers, I know they know how to game the system. Only chinese names mean paper is fake or complete bullshit 80%+ of the time.
It's fine if there're at least some western names usually, in means they are doing research in the west, but only chinese is a big red flag.
At least in graphics, I don't read a lot of medical papers.

I played for ~3 hours. The game is very junk. Like you really have to wonder how the fuck are they still making those mistakes kind of junk.
You literally can't pick up weapons them getting stuck in the shelf in the shooting range.
Zeroing on SCAR-H is completely fucked for ironsights, it has NATO style sights, but you have to shoot it like it's AK style and it sucks.
IK is a joke too. Pic related.

Aside from junk, the game is alright. The menus are a bit clunky, because you have so much shit on your west, very often you pick up the second weapon when you try to grab the armor plate.
Overall, playable. I even managed to win one.

Oh, forgot to say about the LOD pop-in, it's definitely there, very often you see ground moves in front of you while you are running, very trippy, aside from that it's alright, doesn't really interfere with the fights, but maybe that's because I have a good PC. Don't know how the game would run on midrange systems.

The one with the better GPU probably. There's no ceiling for GPU usage in VR because you can supersample for better image quality and anti-aliasing. It eats up a lot of VRAM so the more the better.
CPU matters too but I've not seen a CPU benchmark for multiple VR games in a long time. VRChat and some unity games benefit massively from the AMD X3D CPUs, enough that it should impact your build if you plan on becoming a virtual tranny.
>>
>>1206494
thx a lot.
in regards to the amd cpus, would be the 12600k still be sufficient for vrchat and unity? i dont exactly intend to go tranny (still, you never know what the future might bring) but vr-chat always looked fun and there are a lot of unity-games around.

The X3D cache makes a huge difference in VRChat but you can still play it with other CPUs and there are enough options to reduce the performance impact of all the poorly optimized custom avatars. If you become addicted you'll probably find a way to justify upgrading again for it.
Most VR unity games are easy enough to run because everything targets the Quest 2/3. The 12600k has better 1% lows in flat games compared to equally priced AMD options, which is important because any stutter or inconsistent frametime is much more noticable in VR, though I've not seen any VR specific benchmarks for it.
>>
>>1206514
thx. then i will stick with the12600. the pc i use now is a 7 years old laptop so i am already used to reducing performance demand^^.
my main concern really is longlivety and i was told upgrading from the 12600k setup was better than from the 5700x3d setup i could afford.
>>
>>1206531
>i was told upgrading from the 12600k setup was better than from the 5700x3d setup i could afford.
correct. the 12600k setup could support up to a 14th gen i9 later on
the 5700x3d on the other hand, its an endgame chip for that platform. aside from the cpu itself, you'd need to buy new mobo and almost certainly new ram to upgrade that system.

New valve's patent detailing active noise cancellation for HMD's fans, suggesting high power draw. I wonder how they are going to power it.
But maybe 1 hour battery life is not a problem if they solve the fast charging.
That's the main issue which plagues the quests in my opinion, you just can't charge it fast enough and if you miss the timing on the external battery switch and start draining the internal battery, you basically lose the ability to play indefinitely.

PCVR streaming from a dedicated desktop and eye tracking are also referenced.

I disagree with a good third of what he says in his videos but I still think they're good videos nonetheless. I really don't like how upset he is at some games trying to adapt "flat" gameplay to vr.
Everyone wants a huge array of interaction in their games, but in some situations then less is more. I'm particularly thinking of Crossfire SIERRA SQUAD that got trashed because it didn't have manual reload on launch.
Well I played the game after they put it in and let's just say that the game is too fucking difficult towards the end on hard difficulty that manual reload is a hindrance on the actual gameplay. The core gameplay which is point and shoot and make the correct decision on what weapon to use and who to point the gun at first.
Another example is I don't like how in his previous video he dickrode Legendary Tales like a lot of other fags online praising it's parrying mechanic and other melee aspect, when mentionning the TWD Saints and Sinner in the same video. I'm sorry but dude, but several videos ago you trashed on Battle Talent for not having anti-waggle mechanic while LT has the same shit core mechanics but slap an artifical cooldown on your strikes so you can do full damage. It feels shit. Meanwhile S&S has proper momentum AND angles to strike to do damage. I like you MrVoice but goddamn please take your videos and scripts with has much salts as the game you're criticizing or praising.
>>
>>1215891
He also praises vertigo2, the game which I consider to have the absolutely worst weapon handing out of any vr game.
>has the same shit core mechanics but slap an artifical cooldown on your strikes so you can do full damage.
I think his argument that devs at least tried to mitigate it, not very successfully but tried nevertheless.
The dev also came to his channel personally, so maybe he is a bit shy to shit on him right now. Rises the question of integrity, but what can we do?
>>
>>1215891
The heavy/light attack mechanic of LT is pretty poorly done because there aren't any cues. I keep thinking about games that have tried a similar thing like swords of gurrah but are far more obvious in their implementation of it. LT you just have to go to the dummy and practice swinging to figure out what that weapon's fire rate is. Swords of gurrah your blade actually breaks and refills. LT parrying does feel good though. Against two or three enemies the pace is really nice. But then that's almost ruined by not being able to do full damage to all of them because lmao light strikes.
Fuck saints and sinners though. One of the worst implementations of artificial weight in vr. Honestly as far as melee combat goes, boneworks is the best I've played. Slashing with swords sucks but everything else is really solid and responsive. Heavy things aren't obnoxiously slow, collision isn't terrible, and everything is very dynamic with grabs and being able to use your whole body. I often go back to that game just to do a fists only run.
>>
>>1216063
Melee is just hard in VR due to a real lack of weight and feedback. You can't actually waggle a sword around in real life, but a controller is much lighter than that so the 'easy' way is simply artificial weight or a CD timer, but both can feel like total ass done wrongly. Saints and Sinners made me feel like my in game hands were lagging behind my real hands, but Legendary Tales CD feels way too long on anything that's not a 2H weapon.

Any time I've played a heavily physics based melee game, it's always felt like such a bipolar experience. When it works well, it's amazing, but half the time it feels like I have to fight the game itself because the physics end up jank as hell. Felt that way about Blade and Sorcery, Legendary Tales, and Boneworks. It ends up taking my out of the game more than putting me into it when things get really awkward. I've had enemies in Legendary Tales get their weapons stuck on themselves or each other more times than I can count.

It's kind of unfortunate we don't have more fleshed out Star Wars experiences, because the whole weightless nature of lightsabers and killing whatever they touch would actually make sense in VR and work well with the current limitations, from an immersion standpoint at least.
>>
>>1215891
I think Crossfire is more fun in realism mode with manual reload but anyone who plays arcade for more than a few minutes should see why reloads were automatic. Everything is so bullet spongey that you simply won't want to reload 200 times in a 7 minute mission.

>>1216063
I'm surprised more games haven't copied Swords of Gurrah, maybe it's too unknown. Blade breaking is a good way to limit attack spam and has enough depth from the varying recharge time to be satisfying. Broken Edge is similar, able to focus on speed and precision because it doesn't have physics janking it up. For shooters that want to add a few melee weapons it seems like an easier option than trying to implement a physics-based solution well. It doesn't even have to be a laser sword, you could have electified or elemental weapons.
It's probably the only decent option for any PvP that doesn't one-hit kill because anything that relies on physics is going to feel jank, out of sync or end up with a meta that exploits bugs in the physics.

It's fun and plays really well, just oldschool brawler. The default arm stretch feels bit weird but it's better than t-rex arms without it. Only downside is that coop doesn't work in VR yet.

Mostly but not entirely Dave's fault. 3 years of a stagnating and now declining platform hasn't helped.
VRChat now has more daily players than every other made-for-VR game on Steam put together. Even if half of those are desktoppers it still applies...
The only game left getting over 1k on PC every day is Gorilla Tag.

PCVR's future outside of sims and trannies isn't looking good.
>>
>>1249369
VRChat is just next generation Second Life.
SL's playerbase is aggressively forcing the migration, as far as I'm aware.

UE5 update and how they absolutely fucked modding totally killed the game on PC, that's the problem. I've seen multiple big modders for Pavlov say how the changes to modding and how they handled hosting them made it so frustrating they're done unless Pavlov makes big changes to it.

They're finally getting around to expanding their modding possibilities but it's too little too late. As far as I can tell you still can't make your own gamemodes so it's not going to do anything the competition aren't already.

The lack of updates in the years prior to UE5 made people look elsewhere, modders to Contractors or their own games and compfags to Breachers or Vail.
You finally bring people back with the update then disappoint them when they realize they can't even play some of their favourite mods. Webm related, one of a trio of unique zombie maps that can't be played anymore. These were the only maps to make good use of the zombies in Pavlov. The first map got ported to UE5 and it's horribly broken. Even the creator has no idea why and he's since quit making Pavlov maps.

It really screwed over the Pavlov SCP project too. They finally got the gamemode in a good place with more content planned and a regularly populated server. Then the update hits and it took months to port while introducing a ton of new bugs. The Pavlov devs even blacklisted the server at one point as a result of the bugs spreading beyond the server. By the time everything was resolved the playerbase was mostly gone and the modders all wanted to move on.
>>
>>1249569
It's a damn shame because there were a few game modes which Pavlov did so much better than others for mods. The Call of Duty Zombies was always a standout to me. Contractors now has it and a few maps, but while I still enjooy it in Contractors and you could argue Contractors is more "faithful", Pavlov did it so much better for fun factor and the social experience with VR.

>Ability to share guns with people
>Better spectating if you died
>Better implementation of a few perks+wider perk variety
>Visually looked much better
>Better gun variety, particularly for wonder weapons
>Less restrictive on ammo

I could also use Quad-Views Foveated Rendering with Pavlov so even when running utterly retarded huge resolutions of something like 6000x7000 per eye I could still get over 100FPS+ quite reliably. No other game supports that so sucks to see Pavlov die.
>>
>>1249589
It says contractors has even less players than Pavlov though? Is there a game in VR that everyone plays that isn't VRChat?
>>
>>1249608
Contractors has crossplay with the Quest and supports mods, unlike Pavlov which doesn't support modding on PSVR2. So you can still find games relatively easily for mods, where as Pavlov you're kind of hosed at this point.

No TTT and only a very simple roleplay mode compared to Pavlov.
Contractors makes up for it with better custom player models, custom weapon loadout variety and full crossplay for nearly all mods which makes it much easier to find players. Star Wars, TF2, Halo, Titanfall (with wallrunning), WW2, Modern Warfare, Ninjas and Fallout New Vegas just off the top of my head.
PUSH in Pavlov is better than WW2 in Contractors but when the PUSH servers are all empty it's a moot point.

For the newfriends who are reading, the minimum GPU from Ada gen is 4070 Ti Super.
Everything below it has a manlet memory bus, which matters a lot for VR, because the gpu has to render at very high resolutions, especially with modern headsets if you want to have a clear image instead of a blurry mess.

You will notice, that the more cores/bigger memory bus GPU has, the better it scales at higher res.
In my personal opinion, 4090 is the only gpu worth buying from Ada, if you don't have the money I would for proper Ampere instead of wasting money on cucked trash.

If VRChat is a bar or strip club in VR then Gorilla Tag is the playground at the park. Kids go there to hang out, run around and make noise. Rec Room had similar appeal but was watered down by pivoting to non-VR players.
>>
>>1250534
I mean the games are certainly "playable", but kinda similar to playing desktop games at 640x480.
For shooters you want more than 2 pixels for your ironsights, if you plan to actually aim.

And it was better before, when the display panels were lower resolution too, so you still get "sharpish" picture even if low-res.
With "modern" headsets, even with something like Q2 which is a pretty old headset at this point, if you don't render at proper res everything just turns into a ps3-tier blurry mess.

They have a store page for games with cross-buy where you get both Quest and PCVR versions, if you think you'll play both it might be worth buying there. Referral codes mean it might be cheaper too.
The only developer I know of that is incompetent enough not to support the Oculus runtime on Steam is Vertigo Games so if you want the less buggy and slightly better performing versions of their games use the Meta store too.

>>
>>1256827
Enemies were the weakest part of the first game imo. Aside from bad performance and mainweapon-losing bugs.
>>
>>1256845
They definitely were. But I think I like the idea of very weird surreal abstract enemies in a game like that. If they had the kind of creativity, art, and rendering as Death Stranding's BTs for example, I think that could've been great.
The thing that set ItR apart from STALKER in my mind was how it leaned more into surrealism.
>>
>>1256847
>The thing that set ItR apart from STALKER in my mind was how it leaned more into surrealism.
I think it was more about embracing the limitations kind of thing.
Originally ItR was supposed to have NPC's in the base etc.
The thing with black blob enemies is that they are easy to design and don't take a lot of work to implement.
>>
>>1256849
Yeah and I'll agree that the results aren't great. It's pretty clearly programmer's graphics. But the game leans into surrealism really heavily in other places, like the fact that there's giant floating pieces of the landscape everywhere and stuff that seems ostensibly supernatural. STALKER never did that. Everything is more grounded in scientific (or pseudo-scientific) explanations. The Zone is a disturbance in the "noosphere," the Brain Scorcher is mad Soviet science, and so on. It gets more into that sort of Roadside Picnic flavor, which is still sci-fi aliens and stuff but has a lot more crazy and otherworldly.

I guess what I'm saying is that I was hoping they'd go weirder with the enemy design. Personally I thought the Stomper, which is almost a direct Death Stranding homage, was one of the most memorable encounters in the game.

>>
>>1265867
>Can you turn it off?
Unless you can disable it for everyone there is no point. You can't be sure if you die to a skilled player who can aim or the aimbot.
And the duels already became a dps check, so unless you are using it yourself, in close range fights you are dead.

>I'll have to find a discord and bitch about it, I'm sure that's how fags who sucked at aiming got it in the first place
Call of Duty does it, so I don't expect the average retard on discord to be against it. Who cares that COD only enables aim assists for controllers which are inherently inaccurate, right?
We need those epic montages for tiktok, even if there is no real skill involved.

And don't let me get started on the retarded push of that cesspit called discord.
>>
>>1265893
I loathe discord too brother. I won't download an app for fucking anything. First time I used discord was about 6 months ago because I had a question for the Golf+ team. Would be nice if I could just email these people. Discord on my phone wouldn't auto correct any text for me and was a nightmare to use
>>
Well anyways, got showdown installed and put a couple hours in to it. It's fun. The aim assist is obviously gay, I think the grenade assist is even gayer because I can't find a way to turn it off. What nonsense. But fun game, I've gotten only two kills in that time but I'm mostly going solo. Guess many people don't realize but when queuing you can untick "fill team" and it'll let you run solo. Also looks like the game has bots. Not sure how that works or why but I've encountered one or two just walking in a straight line. Fucking weird
>>
Grenade assist is fine, throwing in vr is obnoxious and you need to use both hands anyway, so it's "balanced".
The "bots" are just npc which spawn on the map, they drop money and self-revives.
>>
>>1266286
How many bots spawn per game? And hard disagree on the grenade thing. Anything I can do or simulate doing I want to do, I don't need some weird controller style bullshit for aiming my grenade
>>
>>1266290
Just don't extend your hand, so the assist lines don't show up.
It's fine because throwing in vr is nothing like real life anyway, with the "let go of grip button" implementation of throwing having hl2vrmod throw assist is just better.
>How many bots spawn per game?
Depends on location. I don't think it's tied to the amount of players on the server though.
>>
>>1266297

>>
>>1266297
Huh interesting about the bots, will keep an eye out for more info on that. I've seen very few compared to players, but makes a bit of sense considering map size and lower player count than other BRs to handle that way.
I'll have to try it in the training room but without my left arm extended if I try to throw the grenade naturally it just drops in front of me, but I might have fucked something up. Idk I think Pavlov did very good natural throwing. Yeah it isn't perfect but I can throw where I want to without much margin of error. Contractors original is ok at it, worse than Pavlov but it works. Fuck even superhot had good throwing mechanics

>I'll have to try it in the training room but without my left arm extended if I try to throw the grenade naturally it just drops in front of me
Hmm, only threw nades underhanded close range, that definitely worked. Maybe it doesn't work for the full swing, but why shouldn't it?
Not sure, maybe it really doesn't.

>I think Pavlov did very good natural throwing. Yeah it isn't perfect but I can throw where I want to without much margin of error.
I've played a lot of WW2, but never could get really consistent. You also have to kinda let of go of grip pre-emtively a bit because otherwise you will lose momentum. Finicky. Not a fan of grip-centered throwing overall.
>>
getting throwing right will require a vr dev to make an attempt at quaternion calculations and that is just absolutely beyond the capcities of these grifting faggots.
>>
Quaternions are rotations, they are not going to help. You need to conserve momentum and "break" the hold depending on the physics simulation.
Not a checkbox in unity, so that's too much to ask.
>>
>>1266444
how do you think a pitch works, anon? rotation is very much a part of throwing something.
>>
>>1266472
Quaternions are not useful for that. They are good for interpolating rotations. You don't use them in the physics simulation.
If you can prove me wrong, be my guest.
>>
And isn't pitching works because of air resistance? I don't think anyone simulates for that.

How do you expect you're going to predict the path of a toss as the toss is occurring? What amount of rotation to apply to the object released from the hand based on the rotation and speed of travel of the tossing object? Quaternions simply are a way to represent a rotation mathematically (like Eulers but without gimbal problems when you do full rotations). They're like vectors for spinning.
>>
>>1266489
There is no air resistance, the object in free flight after the throw can be treated as a point.
I only ever wrote basic physics sim based on symplectic euler before, so might not know everything, but if you have more expertise with that you would need to elaborate more, I don't see how quaternions are here at all.

how quaternions are useful here at all*
>>

A human arm rotates all kinds of fuckin ways. So to get the product of a "toss" we're gonna have to not only look at the speed and arc and release point of the tossing mechanism (human arm), but how it is rotating through it's parabola as it moves to the release point. Here's a good article: https://www.americanscientist.org/article/predicting-a-baseballs-path

That said, I am just intuiting that you are probably going to have to compound some quaternions here (you could use eulers, but quaternions are generally easier to work with and less computationally taxing). This isn't really a problem anyone has had to solve for vidja before, so I can't tell you exactly what the math would look like unless I sit down for a bunch of hours and work on it.

> Here's a good article:
Have you tried reading it? What part of "no air resistance in the simulation" you don't understand?
>>
>>1266507
Skip over that shit, it talks about arcs and spin too.
>>
>>1266510
The spin is irrelevant because there is no air resistance.
The arc can be described with simple Newtonian mechanics.
>>
>>1266515
Yes but to represent a natural throw feeling we have to consider the orientation of the thrower's arm, is what I am getting at.
>>

It's good when it works. But even on your webm it more of a flick, which work more or less. The overhead throws on the other hand...
>>
I'm not one of the autists debating the way to code throwing, but earlier I mentioned I couldn't throw grenades in Showdown manually, I just confirmed through some tests that is the case. The grenade underhand or overhand will only follow offhand. Really fucking stupid decision and I told them so in my review. I just don't see them ever backing off this assist stuff because once players are used to being babied you can't pull that stuff away
>>
They changed it then. I can't find the footage, but I can distinctly remember throwing smoke underhanded to revive a teammate.
And yeah, the aimbot stays on, there are 50+ positives reviews on steam and literally nobody even mentions it.

I'm on quest and mentioned it in mine. I like the game a lot, I'll probably put a hundred hours in to it before getting bored and going back to golf+ and eleven, but I'm more annoyed that if this game takes off that'll be the new normal for VR shooters. The market is quick to say hey that worked let's copy it
