What do you guys thing about the Book of the New Sun references? I had already picked on some of it with the forgotten space travel and the alzabo TDs in the mine
>>
>>1492907
Kuro is not retarded enough to make a new paimon right? Like, they course corrected as much as they could from beta 2 to release, if they had that little shit being paimon 2.0 surely they cut it out and relegated it to a cute pet or something (still annoying in a story that is supposed to be more mature). If they need to insert cuteness in the story they already have 2 excellent lolis.
On the other hand, I'm already planning to roll for both new units in 1.1 plus >>1492729 this bitch, I hope the other 1.2 unit is not hot as fuck, I don't want to swipe other than for the monthly pass.

Honestly? I'm not understanding much.
I put a lot of attention to everything but the spanish translation (the language I use) sometimes just doesn't make sense at all.
Imagine, first the english sub is sometimes scuffed, and the spanish one is translated over it.
What's exactly the topic about the stories?
>>
>>1494659
From what I know, Paimon is very popular in CN, so Kuro wants to capitalize on the same market
I'm confident that they will nail the mascot for Wuwa, I'm eager to see the little critter in the story
As long it has good interactions and doesn't appear often, it will be alright
>>
>>1494707
>spanish translation
Oof. The original English version is already famously hard to read even for native speakers.
>What's exactly the topic about the stories?
The irl novel? It's about an Earth so far in the future that the Sun is dying and human society has degraded so much that much of the technology developed has been forgotten it even exists. It follows the adventures of a member of the Guild of Torturers after he is exiled from the guild. Ultimately, the book is about the return (the second coming) of a messianic figure prophesized to save the world; he is called The New Sun.
>>
>>1494707
>Imagine, first the english sub is sometimes scuffed, and the spanish one is translated over it.
Ah you're talking about the game. Yeah, it's hard to understand because of all the new terminology, but it's new even in English and all the Chinese names don't make it easy for us to remember them when they show up again.

Patch notes for 1.1
https://wutheringwaves.kurogames.com/en/main/news/detail/893

The game is starting to take a better shape now.
>>
>>1495381
>After reaching Lv. 21, all Echoes dropped will be guaranteed to be of 5-Star Rarity.
Wait, so then what does "100% drop enhancement" or whatever mean at level 20? I thought the 20% meant the chance for anything to drop an Echo, and then the second % was the 5* rate.

Everything else seems great outside of the Cruisewing slowdown, especially them adding one extra of each pull to the monthly store and giving more daily activity objectives. Surprised they're not addressing vibration and gyro not working on DS controllers though.
>>
>>1495386
Remember that we have a 80%/20% drop of gold and purple echo, respectively.
Now on level 21 will always be 100% gold echo drop. They didn't mention anything about the 20% echo drop, though.
>>
>>1495392
>Remember that we have a 80%/20% drop of gold and purple echo, respectively.
Is that what it meant? I thought "100%" meant 100% chance of 5*, not the split you mentioned. The 20% being the base chance you get an Echo from an enemy that isn't glowing at all.
>>
>>1495386
nigga, are you in elementary and your reading comprehension hasn't fully developed yet???
if you actually clicked the enhanced drop rate 100% arrow it will open up and say that it only works for overlord and calamity class TDs.
and if you fucking click the highest drop rarity arrow it will show you that at data bank level 20 you have a 80% chance to get 5* and a 20* chance to get a 4*. at level 21 that changes to a 100% chance for 5*. the base drop rate of 20% does not change
>>
>>1495395
>if you actually clicked the enhanced drop rate 100% arrow
I genuinely didn't even realize I could go to this section on a controller.
>>
>>1495381
No echo XP drop increase?
>>
>>1495449
No, and we shouldn't get one yet.
No one has reached the max SOL3 phase, so we actually don't know how the drops are at max level. When someone reaches it, then we can actually start asking for a change if they are not enough.

People are spoiled. They want to get to get full optimized echo sets when the game doesn't even have 1 month of being out.
>>
>>1495455
People are gonna quit if they can't progress. We don't have the first mover advantage like Genshin.
>>
>>1495462
Sure. Maybe by 1.2 we will get something about it, when some people will be closer to max SOL3 level or already on it.
In 1.1 we will get the huge improvement of turning blue and purple tuners to gold ones.

They could either increase the drops, or let us use lvl 0 echoes as fodder, or turn them to XP. We will see.
I'm optimistic that by 1.2 the echo XP grind will be better.
>>
>>1495462
>People are gonna quit if they can't progress.
The thing is that you can fully kit out at least four or five characters right now even if you have like three or four trash 5* Echoes in that pile of Echoes. Right now getting 2 or 3 remotely decent substats is way too much for overworld enemies and you melt them in seconds, and your only challenges now are the holograms and ToA which still don't seem to require minmaxed Echoes in any way, just reasonable enough ones. The issue right now is we're simply underleveled for the ToA content so we can't break some of the DPS expectations.

They're at a good point in terms of keeping up progression, and the next update by the looks of things is improving on the parts of it that are a bit sloppy.

>>
>>1496837
Like I said, you can currently deck out an entire team and then some with 5*s. That should be enough for the point we're at right now since there's nothing that can even survive even a half-assed kit of Echoes with 2-3/5 substats being something good outside of the ToA, and even in the ToA you effectively only need four or so usable characters to pass the middle tier of stuff.

They absolutely do have to increase the drop rate of the capsules, increase how much they give, decrease how much it takes to hit +25, or all of the above, it's just that in 1.0 specifically this shouldn't be much of a problem. It's a problem going forward that needs to be addressed which they are.

I heard this game blows genshit out of the water, is that really true? I mean Genshit sucks ass, but does WuWa do something that's somehow better or different that makes people shit and piss their pants over it?
>>
>>1499484
Same stamina system. Same gameplay goals. Same reasons to spend money. Different look.
>>
>>1499484
Main thing is that it plays better. Aka movement. Stuff like momentum exists, and climbing/running isn't taking forever, stamina for running only used in combat.

Dailies are are also faster (though still flawed). You don't have to do them in Genshin all the time anymore, but if you have to, it's still awful.
No such thing as crafting shit to use 40 energy instead of 20 either.

Game isn't anywhere near perfect, but it addresses a lot of points people never liked about Genshin, like 2 primo chests or all the aforementioned. But it is still very similar. If you disliked the little things in Genshin, this game is worth trying. If you disliked the major things, no need. Still a gacha.
>>
>>1499484
>is that really true?
No, it's just another game in the same style with its own strengths and flaws. In the long run the combat is simply not as strong as Genshin is at its core because it's mainly about the numbers so most playable characters will only be able to fall into certain camps like DPS, coordinated attacker (Sub DPS), or buffer rather than also bring an elemental aspect to the game.

As it is with 1.0 we already have some units that will very much be unusable going forward unless new characters are made to specifically address their kits, but anything that fixes their kits also buffs better characters so it makes no sense. Like, there's no reason to use someone like Chixia past the immediate start, even less than Amber. Amber can at least be forced to work in stuff like Burning, Vape, or Melt setups whereas Chixia is an objectively worse Mortefi.

Outside of that issue combat is pretty fun and they do encourage you to switch due to the posture meter, intro/outro attacks dealing a lot of damage to it, the Echo system adds another attack to your rotation, perfect dodges give you a new basic attack counter that gives you a bunch of intro/outro meter, and there's parrying but that only works properly on melee characters.

Exploration is where it is significantly improved because it has momentum-based movement like BotW or TotK do and when you go back to Genshin you're begging to not just fall straight down when you exit your glider. It also lets you run up walls instead of doing jumps up walls, you have access to a grappling hook allowing for extended time in air and it lifting you higher a bit, there's an aerial dodge meaning even more height for exploration, and most importantly there's no stamina drain if you're not in battle or climbing something.

The side quests are nearly all awful and fail to understand why World Quests work in Genshin (Because they're not short), the main story's first two chapters are a wash, and the world is cool.
>>
>new login pulls
>like 10 pulls for each currency for 1.1
>on top of 600 astrites because of maintenance and bugs
I unironically think that Kuro should stop giving free so much shit because it encourages people to not spend on the game.
Also, by seeing comments on X, everyone is ungrateful anyway. I hope by 1.2 they start to be more stingy like Hoyo.
>>
>>1499847
To be fair, it was reasonable to be cautious about their paid economy in 1.0 because we had no idea if they'd continue giving stuff early or keep up the amount of Astrites and pulls from exploration. Some of the important free stuff (Free 5* and like 20 or 30 pulls) was because of the messy launch as well so that skews how people would view if they're stingy or not even if the guaranteed 5*s and how they handle the standard banners is very generous for a gacha.

With 1.1 keeping up the amount of Astrite from exploration I would say that anyone arguing they're stingy is pretty ridiculous and you just want more free stuff when they're trying to find a balance for their business. Sure, 1.0 seemed kind of average or stingy since once you burn through that content it would rid you of a lot of stuff going forward (Sonance Caskets, crafted item rewards, quest rewards, etc.), but now it's ridiculous to say they're stingy just because of how much they're giving out and how much they're guaranteeing. I have literally every single character except Jiyan and Lingyang obtained through very little effort already which is crazy for an early F2P game.
>>
>>1499847
compared to other gacha games, this is literally nothing. maybe i just got spoiled by other games and try to at least appreciate the free stuff they give out

>compared to other gacha games, this is literally nothing
You're playing extremely exceptional games or ones that power creep heavily making those pulls a requirement. The gachas I've played (Battle Cats, Super Sentai Legend Wars, Yakuza Online, Kingdom Heart Unchained X, Megaman Xover) give you enough for a 10 pull every two or so weeks if that and either have no pity at all, no guarantee at all, or have such an absurd guarantee system that it would be impossible for any F2P person to reach it. That's not even getting into the absolute chores it takes to earn premium currency at all.

Battle Cats requires you to grind and grind and grind to earn pulls but the benefit is that you can seed track your pulls. It also takes months to get to a point where you can regularly earn pulls in a reliable way via tickets.
SSLW required you to do their events daily for like half an hour every day, and they power creeped heavily to the point that your entire team of cards became pointless within a two week period.
Yakuza Online is so absurd in how much it costs to pull it's ridiculous. Picture related should give you an idea of how absurd. For reference, 1000 diamonds = 10 pull, a you need to do a minimum of 250 pulls to get the banner guarantee on the Snipe banner specifically (Which loses its pity counter after a week and doesn't carry over), or 500 pulls for the garbage banner no one ever pulls on. Cards are power creeped within a month. Their monthly subscription system only gives you like 3000 diamonds in a month for $15 I think it was and for a free player to earn 500ish diamonds in a week they had to place in the top bracket of PVP and guild battles (Meaning play daily for an hour and check back every three-ish hours).
KHUX required you to raid and PVP daily for every week to earn I think it was 1600 a week? 10 pulls were 3k and to guarantee a medal you had to do 100 pulls. They almost never gave out free gems.

>>
>>1501892
You get Union EXP from the compensation, not Data Bank EXP. I got 5600 EXP when I went to my mail.
>>
>>1501991
Didn't they say they were changing the Data Bank exp you get? And besides, I was level 20 with an extra 200 exp. When 1.1 happened I lost those 200 exp. What the fuck. I should have been 200/350 instead of 0/350.
>>
>>1502003
They probably did change it and that's why your EXP is lowered because it adjusted to the new values. I had every single one at 5* before the patch which I think was 250? 300? past 20. It's now 160/350 without having touched the new area yet. The mail also said they increased the Union EXP rewarded when they revamped it.
>>
>>1502009
I also had all 5*. The only reason you had 160 was because you finished those missions that gives Data Bank exp. The ones where you need to level resonators, weapons and echos and all that other shit. You also lost exp and only kept the 160 exp from the mission rewards.
>>
>>1502018
Oh, well then. Then it's probably just a rebalancing of the EXP rates considering they introduced like eight or something new Echoes into the mix.
>>
So tempted to roll for Jinshi. I love women with white/silvery hair. But I know I should save my rolls for the next loli resonator.
>>
>>1492727
Why is this game so boring? Legit asking. Gatcha seems ok (better than Genshin imho, I've had some decent pulls even just starting), but it's just... uninteresting, and I can't quite figure out why, beyond the world seeming more depressing than Genshin and the story seeming convoluted
>>
>>1502802
???
There's barely any story. How is it convoluted? It's 1.1, I don't expect it to compete with a 10 year old game that had years to expand the story.
>>
>>1502802
Why do you find it boring? I can kind of understand if you're not gelling with the enemy designs because I've seen people call them MMO enemy designs but thinking of them like a take on BTs makes it make so much more sense and works for me. The world is essentially anime Death Stranding just without Timefall, and it only really feels boring in the Exploration Quests because it's the World Quests of Genshin without understanding why they work or why the impact of actually helping these people and locations feels good.

Right now they're still setting stuff up so the story only picks up around act 3 but in reality it's more like act 5. After that point they started to figure out how they're doing it and act 7 is a good sign they've got some idea of what they want out of the world, characters, and story now.

Early game is easy and slow so also keep that in mind. You don't have Echoes, you won't really grasp using Echos in your rotation yet since the 1s are pretty weak or have lame effects, and the game doesn't encourage you to swap much until you're like in your 50s. Genshin was the exact same way where elemental reactions don't really matter at all until Inazuma and when you hit the 80s and 90s.
>>
>>1502805
In the same way Chinese movies are (not all, and they've been getting better).
>>1502810
that's what I'm trying to figure out lol. I basically came blind into the game (especially after not playing any in a while), so my expectations weren't high to begin with. I think I'm enjoying the combat more than w/ Genshin, too, got
Calcharo from one of the pulls (whom I didn't want, but ended up enjoying), I like the characters for the most part (both w/ combat, design, etc), echoes and their role seem interesting, yet I'm not really enjoying it. There's many similarities with Genshin including mechanics, but I usually don't mind well-done similar games/clones, especially if I've enjoyed similar things previously (and the bad sides of it are expected like w/ gatcha, limits, etc)
Beyond it, the things I've disliked is the setting, but it's not that bad/has good moments, the story which for whatever reason feels convoluted, kinda like it was made to fit the game (and is fairly bland at that), rather than being organic. Enemies aren't that bad either, I've played enough mmos that I don't mind. I think it's probably just the setting/story combination, especially as this (like Genshin) is fairly story-heavy.
>>
>>1502822
Like I said, the story takes forever to get moving. Acts 1 and 2 are terrible. Act 3 is an exposition chapter with one of the best characters in the game. Act 4 is boring. Acts 5 onward are solid.
For me the setting is great because it's anime Death Stranding. The world is trying to fight off their equivalent of BTs because the TDs can appear anywhere, they constantly have Threnodians spawning, the bootleg Fatui (Fractsidus) are doing stuff in the background that they do a really bad job making you think is a bad thing, the Court of Savantae are basically the Dwemer, and it's cool to see this fairly technologically superior world failing to hold off TDs even with magic on their side.
>>
How much handholding is too much handholding? Following the yellow dot on autopilot while the characters say nonsense put me to sleep. I think I turned off in the middle of an enemy respawn point but oh well.

Found the two shinies they added this patch just doing the event within a few minutes of each other. I think they only spawn after you've cleared the story because I didn't see them in either of these spots before I finished it. The liger is at the red tree area, the ice baby is at the bottom-left.

The newest patch isn't for me. I went from fairly stable to unplayable if it ever decides to drop the framerate past the 50s since it'll either go to a very unstable 30s or single digits. Picture related has been happening to me every once in a while and requires a game restart several times before it goes away, sometimes even a full computer restart for whatever reason. Wasn't doing this in 1.0. It even drops my ping to the 100-400 range when I'm typically 20-30.

I've reinstalled my drivers several times to see if that fixes it and closed my web browser when playing and neither did. You can see the game isn't even utilizing my CPU or GPU fully so this shouldn't be happening.

I play with everything maxed, DLSS Quality presets on, and it runs at 60 no problem, but when it drops it loves to drop to 40 or lower and when it drops lower it's as you can see in the screenshot and it never recovers once it does. Changing the graphical settings does nothing and it actually performs worse if I'm not using the ini tweaks for mid/high end systems where I'm getting unplayable stutters if I turn on Shadowplay for Instant Replay. With the ini tweaks on it runs just fine with Shadowplay.

Bosses respawn while you're still in the arena instead of forcing you to fast travel at least half an area away and then back.
Instant party swap menu.
Running up walls is infinitely better than the BotW climbing.
You can aerial dodge for even more height.
It has the BotW momentum when in the air and on a glider so you will fall forward instead of straight down.
Instead of talent books you upgrade using weapon upgrade materials. So they're used for talents, weapons, and ascensions.
Echoes flow like water compared to artifacts since they randomly drop from enemies in the overworld and it's super easy to get main stats to roll with. Even boss Echoes are super easy to farm.
Boss fights are so much more fun and involved.
You get a lot more Astrite from chests and there's about the same amount of chests in an area as in Genshin.
Standard banner is split between characters and weapons so you can always just funnel your pulls into weapons and when you lose a 50/50 on the limited banner get the characters.
You can lock-in what standard character/weapons you want on the standard banner and even if you change it it won't wipe your pity.
80 pulls for a guarantee but we don't know if there's a soft pity.
Weapon banner is 80 pulls, is a guarantee at 80 pulls for what you're pulling for, and pity rolls over.
>Worse
When merging weapons you can only do one at a time.
Running up walls means you very quickly can traverse areas so the areas seem smaller as a whole.
Upgrading Echoes takes so many materials compared to artifacts though you only really need 2-3/5 good substats for it to be worth it.
The Tower of Adversity (Spiral Abyss) is even less fun than going to the SA mines.
The system overall not having elemental reactions means that it's going to be very hard for them not to power creep.
Many characters right now are unviable.

Disclaimer: I don't play wuwa
What scares me about picking up this game is the fact that you can endlessly farm echoes.
This creates a disparity between players who invest a ton of time and those who don't, and kind of subverts the point of having a stamina system to begin with. How will they balance the difficult parts of the game when there's such a large stat gap between a casual and more hardcore player?
Plus the large amount of substats.. and even echoes with 2 mainstats makes it feel like it'll be a nightmare to get anything good.

"But it's a singleplayer game!"
Yes but there's limited-time rewards locked behind the endgame mode, and it'll definitely be getting harder over time.

want to clear all end game content with shilled fotm character buff on the tower?
go autistic hardcore, clear the map everyday, go to multiplayer clearing the map again

wanna go easy? use whatever echo you find and content with not perfect 30/30 score tower but you definitely can clear 90% of it doing casually

it is what it is, the people that have more playtime gonna have better chance of getting good echoes naturally, cant expect to get the same result if you don't grind the game

as for me, I'm going casual, logging in just to spend the stamina and weeklies, playing the overworld when I have the mood, and I can still get 24/30 score on the tower
its not a race and not even pvp so idk, fix your fomo mentality, its dangerous in this day and age, since corporations will easily take the money of fomofaggots with their psychological manipulation

I think its a legitimate concern most people have but they tend to forget that Echoes are essentially the endgame grind loop (which you arent by any means forced to participate in).
Its the thing you dump your stamina in because your weapons/skill level/character level are maxed.
It also costs exp/mats to gear your echoes. Someone who endlessly farms will not have an endless supply of materials to gear those echoes but instead either have to whale or wait out the daily AP points to run the echo exp dungeon.
Like that other anon mention you absolutely can clear majority of all content without minmax autism substat echoes.
The second line of the mainstat is fixed but yes the first line has some variables to it.
Events do give a choice ticket however so casually in the long run you will get a correct mainstat set.
Remember anon if you arent racing but driving around to sight see theres no need to feel envious or left out by others zooming by.
Just take your time and enjoy whatever aspect of the game you might like. Which will bring me to a small piece of advice.
Give yourself about an hour or so and see if you like the combat. If you cant stomach the combat system I fell that you'll end up uninstalling eventually.
In no means am I downplaying any other expects of the game but just like how TOFs niche was its multiplayer, Wuwas niche is its combat.
Anyway give it a try (or dont im no shill) and like the other anon mention try to reign in that fomo. The scummy tactics will get you to swipe so casually that you will regret it down the line.

In my opinion it is better than Genshin, but I am a casual player.

Pros:
The plot, nothing special but the main quest for now is not only dialogues but also gameplay. Act VI of Huanglong is really nice to play.
The characters are not bad although I would prefer Rover to be more talkative.
Combat system, great, the only enemies that create problems for me are those that are too fast or flying or both.
Exploration is fun thanks to the movement system, shame about the CD on the grappling hook.

Cons:
The useless and unfair 50/50 for the characters.
Stamina system (resin, trailblazer power, etc.) that recharges over time instead of resetting once a day.
Farming similar to that of genshin.
NPC that talk too much.
Artistic direction of the characters and the setting. Some characters, especially 4* are bland as well as many explorable areas are monotonous.

Pros/Cons:
It doesn't have the same magnetism that Genshin has so leaving it isn't that difficult. I left shortly after the launch and only started playing again with the new update and if I had to leave it again I wouldn't have any problems.
>>
>>1506539
>How will they balance the difficult parts of the game when there's such a large stat gap between a casual and more hardcore player?
Same as Genshin. They aim for the lower tier players while the higher tiers have autism-offs with speedrunning it. We're also currently at a point where no one is 90 yet so we don't know the true extent of the Tower of Adversity, but if a 70 can clear a fair bit of it I'm sure a 90 won't have that many issues. Same deal with the holograms and the holograms are only there if you want some achievements, they're not even there for anything other than achievements. You only need like 6ish characters built at all to deal with the whole ToA.
>Plus the large amount of substats.. and even echoes with 2 mainstats makes it feel like it'll be a nightmare to get anything good.
2 and 3 good substats are extremely easy to get. I have only had a single Echo get 1 good susbstat in about 20ish Echoes taken to 25 and revealed their substats, the rest have had anywhere from 2-4. Unless you're the type of person who drops the Echo when you get two flat rolls immediately this shouldn't be a problem because I'm pretty sure it's guaranteed at least one % in the five substats.
As I said, getting boss Echoes is a joke. If you farm the Bell-Borne Geochelone for an hour you're pretty much guaranteed at least some sort of Healing variant with CD or CR, and even if it's not good it'll still be worth keeping until you get a better version.
You get so many 3s and 1s from exploring (And you should be running 4/3/3/1/1) that it's trivial to have something with element % or ATK % by the time you clear out JInzhou let alone not-Dragonspine.

You're thinking this is like Diablo or something when it's not. You don't need perfect substats. Even in Genshin you can get completely ass artifacts and still roll with them for everything but the Spiral Abyss while in the SA you only need like two or three artifacts with good substats and the other two can be 0s.

Can anyone be kind enough to explain to me how the counterattack works? Can you only hit at a specific moment or do I have a certain margin of error? Every time I seem to have struck at the right time, the enemy blow makes me realize that in reality I have failed for the umpteenth time.
>>
>>1512764
You have a margin of error but you have to be doing specific attacks if you're not using a sword, broadsword, or gauntlets. Rectifiers and pistols require you to either be doing a heavy attack, something from your Forte Circuit that causes a physical hit (Chixia's heavy shot or Yinlin's coordinated attack mark are examples), or something from your skill/burst that causes physical contact like Encore's explosion or Yinlin's doll hitting with the skill or the explosion.

If you use an Echo like Thundering Mephis you can really see how enormous the timing window is, you genuinely have like a second and a half or so once the circles touch.

>>
>>1512774
There's no margin. Some attacks have lingering hitboxes, which make the parry easier, but you have to have it linger during the small time window the circles touch.

Technically everything can parry I think, but good luck doing that when you have no lingering hitbox. At least I've parried with simple basic attacks of Verina before.

Oh no.

>>1515070
No, there's definitely a margin for error. Take Yinlin's counter spin thing. If you use it to hit an enemy who is ready to be parried (Like, say you dodged one enemy to hit this one) it won't parry them in most cases despite seemingly every frame being a hit from the attack. But if you use her FC tag it'll parry if you time it just right with the start of the enemy's parry timer showing.

>>
>>1517587
I meant switch characters, used the wrong word there. So in SOL4 and SOL5 I was able to just use someone like Yinlin for the basic encounters of enemies, only needing to go into Verina in Huanglong since everything there is higher to give a buff to her. With a level 80 Stringless, a level 80 Yinlin, and level 7/8 talents (Only missing the two crit buffs) I still can't kill basic boars as fast as I could at SOL5 and anything harder (Like the enemies that drop tier 3 echoes) now requires me to actually stick to Verina, Encore, and Yinlin to simply kill them even outside of Huanglong.

To make matters worse, every single upgrade now requires weekly boss mats instead of just some of them and tons and tons of tier 4 upgrade mats (The gold ones) which, if you've been farming the areas that give you them, don't drop often and even the tier 3 upgrade mats (The purple ones) don't drop often even at this new tier.

I can play that stupid gook game literally all day improving my characters thanks to the nearly infinite stamina they are giving out, yet here in wuwa I finish everything to do in literally 10 minutes. Not even kidding or exaggerating.

Do we have some new meaningful content in the future? Besides the tower, what else can we do with our high leveled characters? Are they planning something? Because I'm honestly getting really bored. If it weren't for my love of Encore I would have dropped this already. (Please give me cute and sexy Encore pics)
>>
>>1517739
This is identical to how it is in Genshin. No one wants endgame content, the extreme minority want endgame content and you playing infinitely to keep growing your character makes you an extreme minority in that respect. The reason why dailies are so fast is because dailies taking 10+ minutes already annoyed people in Genshin.
The main draw of these types of games is the exploratory content and event content, not the endgame content.
>>
>>1517739
I will never understand why people want to play games like genshin or wuwa indefinitely, enslaved to them.
These games are made for pouring a good amount of hours when content is fresh (exploration, events, quests, etc.), and then just enter to do dailies and use waveplates/resin and finally wait for next patch.

This system allows people to enjoy such games then be free from them to go play other games/gachas.
If it was the other way around, people would complain of only playing genshin or wuwa.
>>
>>1517749
that is literally what all gachashit is
>>
>>1517741
The problem with endgame modes is that they are not balanced for various types of players (Imaginarium Theater in Genshin) so many players prefer not to have any at all if this means not losing free resources and time. Considering that games like WuWa have different types of players, and I'm not just talking about how much they spend but rather their mentality, the developers should find a solution to please everyone. The question one can ask now is, is there a solution or not? The answer is yes, the difficulty level.

To give a concrete example, let's assume that an endgame mode gives a total final reward of 500 currencies:

Hard you get 500, for whales and hardcore players
Medium you get 400/450, for low spenders and semi casuals
Easy you get 300/350, for f2p and casual

This way hardcore players have a challenge at their level and at the same time casuals are not left out completely and can play the mode at their level.
>>
>>1518437
Sure, but most people don't want the Spiral Abyss either because it means slaving away at the mines until you get decent enough artifacts, and if you can't 12 36* you're missing out on a pull which slowly starts adding up. At least with both the SA and IT you get negligible amounts of Primos from the higher tiers, but people ultimately don't want any focus given to these modes on a serious level because it can affect character balance, world balance, and world development going forward. As it is WL9 is going to be a major change in Genshin.

On WuWa's end it has the holograms and the ToA as its endgame, but the holograms are just stricter DPS checks and the ToA feels like they just scale the enemies heavily and call it a day. At the very least on WuWa Echoes are extremely easy to get even just by playing without a care in the world and kitting out an entire team is even easier, the main issue comes from the amount of materials and SC you need to fund all your upgrades.

>>
This is probably a stupid question...

How does the guarantee work in WuWa? Since the weapon banner has no off banner I imagine that the guarantee only applies to the character banner, or am I wrong?
>>
>>1520510
50/50 on limited character banners
If you pull a standard banner on the limited character banner (loss) your next 5 star on the limited character banner is guaranteed to be a limited unit. If you can't gather enough pulls before the banner ends, your progress towards your guarantee carries over to the next banner.
Limited weapon banner is a straight 100% chance within or at 80 pulls. As soon as you pull a 5 star it's guaranteed to be the limited weapon.

Obviously if you win the 50/50 by getting the limited 5 star on the first try you will face another 50/50 the next time you pull a 5 star on a limited character banner because it will reset.

I'm kinda torn with the weapon because I want it but I do have the 5* standard sword, but her specific sword is good on her and looks nice on her. I knew for Jihnsi that 100% you need her weapon, there's nothing even remotely close as good as it, but with Changli it's not super strong compared to the 5* sword. Still, I think I'll throw pulls at it because the 1.2 characters don't interest me that much.
>>
>>1521066
You are already 30 pulls in the weapon banner, and don't have interest in the 1.2 characters. I would get the weapon I were you.

I’m a retard so Changly is too complicated for me. I like ol’ “Push one button and you’re nuttin” Jiyan
>>
>>1522900
On wutheringwaves.gg it is explained in simple words how she works. If you have problems I recommend using the trial version of Tactical Simulacra to learn how to use her. In my opinion, Changli's main problem is that she is fragile, combined with the fact that the special effects prevent from seeing clearly what the enemy is doing makes her a character that is not exactly easy to use. She is always one step away from death, too bad she doesn't have revive ability like a phoenix but she is fun to use.

However I agree, no brain characters are always the best, sometimes there is no point in complicating the mechanics too much.
>>
>>1522900
Her gameplay plan is just one step above the rest, mainly by managing having her skills ready when finishing combos
I like that there's a character like this now, not everyone needs to braindead easy to use because they get boring
>>
>>1522900
>I’m a retard so Changly is too complicated for me.
Press basic attack four times. This puts you in a state where your fifth attack will either be a slash horizontally into an explosion vertically three times (Thundering Mephis is an example of exactly how it works just in a shorter range forward) or a jump as a phoenix launching the enemy into the air where you can combo them for another combo but then get dropped to the ground. While in this state you also have a Fusion damage buff.

Your Forte Circuit is a giant Fusion explosion in a circle in front of you and requires four of the previous special attacks to build up. If you have Yinlin it's the same radius as her burst. You also gain a bar if you you Intro into her.

Your burst is a giant explosion of damage also in a circle in front of you. It instantly grants you an entire bar of your Forte Circuit.

So the ideal way to use her is start with Verina and buff, go into some coordinated attacker and set that up, then go into her. Use her burst, immediately use her FC, then do four attacks to get the Fusion damage buff so that you can use Inferno Rider to its full effect and start the loop again. Alternatively you can stick in her longer and earn her FC through attacks naturally, swap out, buff, coordinated attacker, FC into burst into FC into IR.

>>
>>1523099
Oh, and I can't believe I forgot this but her skill gives her a FC bar as well and immediately sets you up with the Fusion buff. So you can also skill into FC into skill into burst into skill into FC and swap out to constantly have Fusion buffs.

I can only bullshit my way out of Thundering Memphis holo 6 through atk and def food boosts just to speed up the process and avoid being 1-2 hit(s) to 2-3 hits instead. I also had to use a revive item on verina just to end it. The fight is buggy and bullshit I felt the urge to murder people involved with it. The doppelganger bullshit? I'm not complaining about it in terms of it's moveset, I'm complaining in terms of being fucking visually hindering that sometimes it obscures the follow up attack this also includes effects coming from your characters (fucking Jinhsi). Even worse the netcode decided that sometimes your dodge doesn't register, that I felt the urge to murder (again) the fucker who decided that server checks are necessary in the middle of gameplay but this is my complaint since way back the game was released but it was really highlighted on this fight. Then the bugs. If you counter break the memphis with his clone there's a chance that it will do a feedback loop of the counter break which will fuck up your controls. Then the lock on randomly disjoints when you switch characters for some time which isn't fixed by the way since 1.0. On top of it he has a buttload of HP I mean compare this with the stupid bird. The stupid bird has you fighting with the camera all the time but he was still manageable since 1.) his breaking point has you do whatever the fuck you want whereas with Memphis you have to deal with his clone WHILE he's broken and 2.) The Aix has fewer HP in comparison. I mean look at Crownless he's difficult but fun and has fewer or none of the bullshit design and you can somewhat wing it even you have to deal with the other bullshit the game has. Anyways I just want to vent because feedback center and surveys are useless. I might do the run again because my pride and autism says it doesn't count since I used consumables. Thanks for tuning in.

Farm echoes of the character you're building in that moment so you don't burn out. Preferably only elites.
And level them up 5 by 5 levels and unlocking the substats. If by the second substat you don't get what you want, you should trash them and get the resources back.
That's what I've been doing and I already have 3 characters ready with the fourth almost ready too.

Her, FRover, and Yinlin are the best things to come out of this game so far and I absolutely love playing her. It's so satisfying to do the three attacks, start the fourth, hold heavy, and have the explosion with the full damage buff before bursting into a skill into doing another explosion.

>>

Well, looks like they released a hotfix when I logged in again and now it's working fine, no visual or performance issues at all. I did do a fresh install this time so the massive stuttering was still there by default meaning you still need to have the ini tweaks even after these two major patches just for it to play nicely. Motion controls still don't work on a Dualsense when aiming nor does rumble work at all. Maxing out motion control sensitivity still breaks your character movement and makes you go at walking speed. I also noticed the floatiness a bit, yeah, and you move oddly a bit faster than before, but the camera targeting has given me no issues now.

At the very least they let Waveplates now bank up to two day's worth after you max out for the day, they bound Echoes to L2 which is a genius move compared to L1+Square and feels way more natural, that new gadget that makes it so you don't need to switch to a Pistol user to solve puzzles was also a really smart idea, and I really like how we can now have the 5* pull animations on our profile when we set up our showcase. Here's FRover's by the way. I can't tell if it's my bad memory or not but they also made the Sigils look far more pronounced on the pause menu compared to before where they felt cut off.

It's a bit complicated but essentially she's an on-field DPS who can also be a sub-DPS and a battery whose attacks are based on Basic Attack damage for some reason. Her signature weapon buffs BA when off field. The trial one they gave us doesn't seem that powerful though, Yuanwu and Mortefi generally feel better than her for off-field stuff based on that trial.

You build FC meter via the skill and basic attacks. Once you have at least 1/3 bars filled you can press skill and then hold basic attack which places a teleport down in a cone from where you started doing the charge. You can have up to three crane teleports on the field which is based on how many bars you had full before you did the charge. Your skill is now replaced with a teleport to one of the cranes on the field. As long as you have another bar full teleporting to one of the cranes causes the crane to shoot out from the location you teleported and fly towards an enemy exploding at them.

Burst just summons a circular area around you where a painted crane does divebombs every once in a while via coordinated attacks.

So wait, Xiangli is basically Liberation-form Encore but Electro? His skill seems completely banal and solely for damage but his burst just seems to put him in an infused state where his attacks give him a bunch of Concerto Energy via attacks and then once you max out the meter it causes his skill to change to a mini burst sort of like Jihnsi. Am I reading this kit correctly?

>It must be said though that the event is not bad at all and I'm playing it veeeery slowly to make it last as long as possible.
Yeah, I really enjoy this event simply because of the micromanagement and leveling up various companions. Story for Xiangli wasn't bad either. Excited to see what they did for the roguelike mode (Assuming they're doing another one) since that's one of their best "events", but it's nice to see their event quality is pretty nice. Question is if this is a "major" event to them though. Like, will we see stuff like this each patch? Because 1.1's wasn't this interesting but then again, that was a main area patch.
>>
>>1542349
In my opinion they could follow a pattern like a patch with a new area and minor events and a patch with major events but without a new area. A lot depends on how much they invest, Kuro invests a lot in animations and cutscenes and tries to introduce QoL as quickly as possible unlike other developers, honestly I would never have expected the gadget to replace the gun. Only from 1.4 we could see if there is a real pattern, but given the quality we have had so far I will not be surprised if we have periods with two consecutive patches without new areas, it is not easy to maintain a game like this and I hope they take the necessary time and that they do not get scared by the competition that will also increase in the future.
>>
>>1542348

I’m giving it a shot. How good is the story in 1.1 and 1.2? Also does it seem the game is going to have a central case of characters or is it just going to be like Genshin and HAR where each update gets new characters, they bounce in the story for a bit, then out?
>>
>>1549793
>I’m giving it a shot. How good is the story in 1.1 and 1.2?
1.0 is terrible until around act 3 or 4 depending on who you ask, then meanders in act 5 but has some good (though unearned) moments.
1.1 (Act 6) is where the story finally figures out what in the world it's trying to do and develops characters like Jihnsi properly so you don't just think the equivalent of an archon is inconsequential and extremely boring.
1.2 (This event) is fine. It's basically a story quest for Xiangli Yao and features pretty much every single character including ones they ignored so far like Calcharo who has unique dialogue introducing himself.
The Companion Quests (Story Quests in Genshin) have all been solid so far, every single one. Jiyan and Changli's have been the standouts though.
>Also does it seem the game is going to have a central case of characters or is it just going to be like Genshin and HAR where each update gets new characters, they bounce in the story for a bit, then out?
We have no idea. Right now it seems like the sole focus is on Rover doing stuff while Chixia, Yangyang, and Baizhi are around to help them find what they need as they meet an important character or two as they wander around. 1.2 remembered pretty much every character existed for the event, and the Companion Quests remember other characters exist during them (Chixia during Yinlin's for example).

>>1549387
That's pretty much a perfect Echo outside of Heavy Attack which might be served better as ATK% but who cares.
>>
>>1549793
1.0 starts slow and then reaches a climax, I don't understand all the criticism, it seems like no one has ever played a JRPG or other games, it's not a new thing that a game is slow at the beginning.
1.1 is a good main quest in one of the most beautiful areas of the game.
1.2 has a good story, rather comfy, but honestly it can't carry the entire update.
The companion quests are not bad and above all they are about the companion and not just NPCs unlike a well-known gacha.
An advantage that WuWa has is that the writing of the main quest and the companion quests are not full of useless dialogues and the Rover always has a central role and is not a simple observer. The sub quests instead have the usual problem of being long and full of dialogues, probably because they are not dubbed. Regarding the characters, most of them have a role in the currently explorable areas, except for some deus ex machina I doubt they will be able to follow us when we move to a new region, so in this case it works like genshin, but at least for now most of the characters have not been forgotten.

Currently the only flaw of the game is farming, the drop rate is too low, it is easier to get the main stats for the echos (artifacts/relics system of the game) than to upgrade a talent.
>>

>>
>>1550409
In short, it's Genshin with some QoL and a slightly deeper combat system but without the advantage of elemental reactions.

In detail:
Post-apocalyptic setting
Nice animations and in general the characters have more expressive faces
Good management of the scenes (direction, shots, etc.)
Farming with low drop rates
Building a character takes time and in-game currency, even too much from my point of view.
Fun combat system but in the end you always do the same rotation, after all you have three active skills and two passive ones and the enemies as the difficulty increases become sponges that hit hard.
Standard crafting system
Standard character banners, standard weapon banners with guaranteed weapon of your choice, limited character banners 50/50, limited guaranteed weapon banners without off-banners.
Good movement system.
Decent variety of enemies and some have movesets that can cause problems if you're not careful.
Interesting plot and characters but you have to survive the first few hours that are a bit boring.
Main quest dialogues of the right length and little useless chatter.
Sub quest dialogues long and with a lot of useless chatter.
Average pandering, it is not the focus of the game, so everyone loves you regardless of whether you are the male or female Rover.
The world is large but it is empty in many cases, sometimes it would be better to have smaller areas but with more things to do.
Events are not bad but obviously they can be liked or not, it depends on the player's taste.
Monetization system similar to other gacha

Honestly with some gameplay additions it could be a good standalone game unlike Mihoyo's stuff. The only doubt is whether it will be able to survive, the Chinese gacha market is strange and global does not have the numbers to keep it alive alone.

It's way too much.

>Meaning at most an entire day's worth of Waveplates is 492k.
>Upgrades for a Forte from 8 to 9 are 70k.
>Upgrades from 9 to 10 are 100k.
>Meaning to upgrade all five Fortes to 10 just from 8 to 10 is 850k.
>Ascending a weapon from 80 to 90 is 12 tier 4 weapon mats, 8 tier 4 enemy drops, and 120k SC.
>Upgrading a weapon from 80 to 90 is an absurd 390k SC and like 10 tier 4 EXP mats, 100 tier 3 mats, and 10-20 tier 2 and 1 mats.
>This isn't even taking into account that everything requires absurd amounts of tier 4 upgrade mats with weapons requiring 12 of the things to go from 80 to 90 while each Forte requires 3 to hit 9 and 5 to hit 10.
>Drop rate for tier 4 mats are like every three or so weapon mat runs and you realistically will only be able to craft a single one every run.
>But you need to get these upgrades ASAP otherwise fights take an eternity even in the overworld on anything that's not a low tier mook.
I spent 60 boxes and got Jihnsi and Changli maxed out with Yinlin at 90 but none of her stats once I hit the final world upgrade.

I would disagree with your point about everything becoming a sponge though. Unless you are touching the ToA or holograms that simply isn't true and it stays consistent from the first SOL3 tier to the final SOL3 tier in how long it takes to kill enemies. Maybe bosses take a slight bit longer. Maybe. But overall once you upgrade everything to where they expect (Essentially, whatever the max cap is for that SOL3) then it's perfectly fine. I've been running around with Changli and Jihnsi doing everything solo while my other two slots or level 1s just for the intimacy in the dailies and various item runs even at the final SOL3.

There is nothing fun in fighting the same enemies six times in a row and then not even having the resources needed to upgrade a skill, and let's not even talk about when you have to hunt non-echo enemies, with all the drop bonus the results are disappointing. The biggest offense though is the echo exp, 60 waveplates is a huge cost for that measly drop.
>>
>>1564452
I never run echoes outside double drops and if I need the weekly for xp.
I guess my point is that all these games have atrocious grinds, I just like that the grind in this one is guaranteed progress instead of rolling the dice.
>>
>>1564452
>and let's not even talk about when you have to hunt non-echo enemies, with all the drop bonus the results are disappointing
The fact that so many characters require those rings from the Exiles is driving me insane. There's only so many of them, they're so far apart, the drop rate is terrible, and you spend dozens for one single upgrade.
>>
>>1564460
I have thousands of them just by wandering around and doing 100% all the map
In fact, I will literally never run out of all enemy drops now
See your problem there?
>>
>>1564477
>I have thousands of them just by wandering around and doing 100% all the map
I have 100%ed the entire map and never ignored a single enemy encounter. I have like 600 tier 1s, a couple hundred tier 2s, and a nonexistent amount of tier 3s let alone 4s..

... do I just skip the kinokeeper to get Camellya and her weapon? I don't even try to use more than one team for tower right now anyways.

Context for account, still gotta do the festival.
>>
>>1567060
>>1567074
First I would suggest starting the festival right now since it actually takes some days to fully complete it and get all the rewards.
And I would still go for shorekeeper. I also have my verina and baizhi completely built but I will get shorekeeper too.

Verina is great but we will get bored of her eventually.
Baizhi is clumsy and kinda tricky to use, but she's a sex goddess and I use her when I'm bored of verina and want to see her lascivious body on screen.

Shorekeeper will be a great addition to anyone and any account. But again, I actually spend money on the game so I'm talking from that POV and I don't put myself in a extremely tight leash.
>>
>>1567078
Yeah, right now I'm at ~145 effective pulls across weapon banner and character banner, including pity. Guarantee on character banner, maybe I rush out the rest of this patch's goodies and do some math before shorekeeper drops. I've got ~30 days of monthly left, and am going to use google play points for another month when I get up to 250 again next week.

Does anyone know if buffs from similar sources stack? It would be crazy if the optimal team ended up being double healer as in DPS + Shorekeeper + Verina
>>
>>1567229
Using the healing set both in baizhi and verina the attack buff does stack when each one heals, so I guess it will work

Ran across someone who works for another mobile game company and they were talking about using bots and brought up r/gachagaming. Thought I would post this here considering how biased that sub is towards Wuwa this may explain some of why that has been the case
>>
The amount of damage you can blow out during this new Alloy Smelt event is so ridiculous. Just slapping Zhezhi into my team with a poorly built Yuanwu leads to so much damage on Jinhsi, and it's constantly dropping frames from all the effects and attacks.
>>

They probably lowered the difficulty somehow. I usually use trials and this time, at least for the levels unlocked so far, they are much easier than the previous version.

Last time we barely had competent builds for our characters. Now we have dps, subs and supports, and teams built.
Maybe it's that?

maybe it's because I was a Runescape player, but the grind in WuWa is absolutely nothing to me. I feel they give you enough to have one or two well leveled, full fieldable teams, even as just a light spender. T B H it's intentionally balanced this way, and if you want the luxury of having every character at level 90, you need to spend money, as is the gacha model. Can't say I agree with really anyone's criticisms. Just seem like gen Z baby gamers who hate to grind because they are used to watching 5 youtube videos at once on 2x speed while playing 2 mobile games
>>
>>1564480
wait why don't you just synthesize them
>>
>>1574758
I have been, but you also need the lower tier stuff for newer characters.
>>
>>1574752
The problem with WuWa is simply that it has a low drop rate and no QoL that decreases farming times, which other gacha have. I can accept the low drop rate, but having to repeat the same fight over and over again becomes boring and annoying, an autoclear system or the ability to spend all the waveplates in a single fight would be enough to alleviate the problem.

And no, I'm not a gen Z player, I've played JRPG for years and put up with all their bullshit to increase game times, you simply get to a point where certain tricks from the developers become unbearable and ultimately do no good to the game.

Nice, got Shorekeeper pretty early.
>>
>>1580258
Why are you playing it in moon runes?
>>
What is your opinion on Shorekeeper in terms of gameplay? I am not an expert but I don't like the liberation, it lasts 30 seconds and in this time you have to use two intros to get all the buffs, the more you take the less damage you do. Shorekeeper has ER problems but at least those can be solved somehow, to generate concerto faster, apart from weapons are there other ways or not?
>>
>>1580769
That's why I'm considering getting her S1 with the afterglow coral since I have enough for it. 10 extra secs and bigger range will come in handy.
Shorekeeper is so easy to build. She just needs to reach at least 250% ER in order to get the max crit rate and dmg bonuses. Essy with two 3* ER echoes and a Variation. Her sig isn't even needed.
And give her all the HP you can.

Mine is already done, just need to farm the 4* echo and that's it.
>>
>>1580769
I think she works fine. It's like two seconds to get her intro up via her NAs and her FC + skill, then your sub DPS will get their Intro while setting up leading to your main DPS and you'll still have 15 to 20ish seconds to still go ham. Your main DPS will then have earned enough energy for her to begin the loop again.
She's extremely easy to build, you just need every single Echo to come with ER on one substat if you only want to run one ER 3, otherwise if you run two ER 3s you only need like three to have ER substats. After that it's just HP% and CD% because she's not really gonna be doing damage, outside of her intro and like two seconds of her NAs.

>This entire Black Shores story.
I feel like I'm way too dumb to follow this because even reading those logs I'm still confused if it's talking about Shorekeeper or Tethys. So if I get this entire timeline right
>Rover some time in the distant past (As in, millions of years ago) created the Tethys system as a way to find a way to stop the Lament and keep it in check.
>Designed it as a strict AI sort of seen in cars that makes decisions based on cold hard numbers and "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" rather than factoring in "The human element".
>The system works but is sort of in limbo and is unable to do anything more than keep up the status quo as Laments still happen as often as they stop them.
>Rover at some point creates the Black Shores and creates the Shorekeeper as a way to protect humanity as well as making her sort of like an overseer for the Black Shores itself.
>Rover intended to use the Shorekeeper as a way to introduce the "Human element" to Tethys but realized Shorekeeper had gained emotions from her own AI thanks to the introduction of all the Sonoro Spheres and various stories Rover told her.
>Rover decides to try and find some other way to help Tethys make better calculations but is unable to as they always end up leading back to sacrificing Shorekeeper to it.
>This ends in what we see in the story with Shorekeeper accepting her fate but Rover refusing and deciding that it would be better for Shorekeeper to live her own life and find another way to solve this issue, especially when Tethys is not incorporating information that it deems unnecessary as it believes all the decisions it makes are correct without considering other options.

Is that even remotely close? Because I'm so confused here.
>>
>>1580922
From what I understand from the story and from what I read on other shores, I could be wrong though.

Tethys was not created by the Rover, it already existed before the foundation of Black Shores. It uses the emotions released during the Lament to fuel the calculations since its core is a copy of the Lament, the Necrostar mentioned in the story.
Rover did not directly create SK but it is the reason why she exists or at least that is what I understood from the first Character Story of SK.
Rover created Black Shores.
The Rover and SK destroy the Necrostar that was causing problems for some time and at that point the only ones who can replace the core are only the two of them because they are the ones who have the most ties with the Lament and SK "sacrifices" herself. The Rover does not accept such a thing and decides to save her, succeeding. Now the core is something more harmonious and stable that according to some could be Abby or that Abby did something that stabilized the situation.

Honestly Kuro should have split the quest into two parts, it's pretty clear that they tried to combine the plot and lore information with the romance but they preferred the latter as the core of the quest.

Got randomly recommended a boss fight video for this game and it looked amazing for a phone game. How bad of an experience would it be if I were to play it like a normal single player game without engaging with the gacha stuff?
>>
>>1582029
Right now the game seems that it got an amazing boost in mobile + now having controller support. People that play it on mobile say that the experience is great now.
Now about your question, you mean playing it completely as a single player without pulling new units or you mean playing it as F2P?

Is a gacha game, so pulling some units here and there is required to maximize DMG and teams. And the starting units could bore you quickly too.
But if you mean playing it as F2P, Wuwa is pretty generous with pulls, so you can get save plenty to get the units you really want.
>>
>>1582052
I mean as in f2p and only logging in when new content hits. Not a fan of mmolite dailies these games usually have.
>to maximize DMG and teams
How important is this? If it's only for some ranking and reward tiers I don't really mind using weaker characters as long as I'm not getting hardwalled because of it.
>starting units could bore you quickly too.
I'd have to try it for myself first I think, if the base combat is fun enough it should be fine for me. Also I saw a sephiroth looking character can a newbie reliably get him now?
>>
>>1582065
>How important is this?
Not at all. You could only struggle with the endgame tower, and I say struggle since you will also complete, just with less stars. Not that you will miss much rewards by doing so. I still make like 24 stars out of 30.
>Also I saw a sephiroth looking character can a newbie reliably get him now?
Yes, with two options.
The beginner banner let you select the 5 star you want, guaranteed. You will just use the free pulls you get by completing everything.
The other one is a free 5 star ticket, and you will get the standard 5 star you want immediately.
That character is a standard 5 star so you can get him with whichever option you prefer.

>everything made sense in the very last moments/minutes of the whole quest
What the fuck is wrong with Kuro? Lmao.
They REALLY need to stop using so many fucking terms in each sentence and conversation. Makes everything so fucking strange to follow, seriously.

Also, I don't know how's the translation in english but I play it in spanish and it just feels so iffy. Like everything is perfectly written but sometimes doesn't make sense. It's like someone just used a translator from english without caring about cohesiveness.
>>
>>1582803
I don't know what to say about the translation, English is not my language so I probably lose something in translation, even the possible errors and oversights.

Thinking back after a few days, the quest seems like the final part of a much bigger story. For you, and for me honestly, and who knows how many others, it doesn't make sense sometimes it's due to the fact that we don't have the adequate knowledge to fully understand what Kuro wants to communicate because basically they weren't able to explain it well. Waifu and "scientific explanations" are not two things that go well together if inserted in a maximum of 3 hours of gameplay, removing all the useless dialogues and gameplay sections you will have a maximum of 25 minutes of real story. Knowing the gacha situation in China, I wouldn't be surprised if this quest has been rewritten dozens of times and what we have now is a compromise of ideas.
