/pmg/ is not me nor (You) so we can't really predict things and the game is not set in stone so things can change in a month or two but with only few months left it's obvious that the new pairs that can rise to the top are quite rare (And of course a pair coming in December can't even dream to have 100 uses). Only the current Arc Suit have really a chance to perform well but they also help a lot of pairs of them the only one I believe in is Steven. He is physical Zapdos and that's enough for him to kick Morty or Red out + it will have three CS steel based since the new Red SCS look like steel (Olivia don't use any pokemon weak to fire Maybe I'm wrong). And while Cynthia and Lance are nice they either gonna slow down Courtney+ Runegrigus/NC Nate or at worse do nothing. But the biggest winner is Zygarde. Believe it or not but Serena is like a french student doing the Erasmus programme and she will suck any help she can find to have better grades. Cynthia ? Ground rebuff and Zone, Lance ? Free -6 Spdef and Dragon rebuff and Steven is a potion slut and the Mega have Team Triage Tool 9 (+ Debuff def/Spdef )

It's a crime that these are just recolors, and the new palette is ass to the point I genuinely question whether these people have studied art basics. A 40% white, 40% black, 10% yellow palette is awful from a design perspective. Replace the black with cream or gold shades and make black at most a detailing color like yellow and it's at least no longer eye cancer. A warm tinted gray is also acceptable for contrast, but certainly not black and white, that's clown shit. Steven's suit is the only thing passable with such a color scheme.

Since DeNa is just reselling you pairing now, I think we need to consider that DeNa will find other ways to resell you popular old pairings that aren't meta relevant now that aren't through arc suits, especially if it is only limited to 1 per type. One example is that they might just resell you a more meta relevant, powerful version of Jasmine & Steelix through GSC classic or BDSP Jasmine. Or they resell you Misty & Starmie as HGSS Misty

Not sure how people might feel about that since it's the same mon and invalidates your investment through those older pairs, but at the same time, modeling a canon outfit is more effort than the palette swaps that arc suits are, and some people were asking for those canon alts.

They might also do seasonals of characters with a Pokemon they already use with their base version or with one of their other alts such as a summer Volkner with Luxray

You could just replace their existence with a higher offense stat or more multipliers, etc to manifest them the same way. Pity requires ~45k if I did my math properly. Units other than the new anniversary trio require 'only' 36.6k gems.
Steven (releasing tonight I think) is probably the most powerful unit to reroll for. There are lots of different DPS units for you to mix and match with and you will sometimes find that you want to use a type other than Ground to do damage. On the other hand, supports are more universally useful and don't care about type matchups. Steven is the physical equivalent to last year's Blue + Zapdos which was the strongest special support in the game.

Grab Steven tomorrow and then take SS Blue as your free unit for completing the tutorial thing and you'll be all set for supports for quite a while. You'll find loads of different DPS that will do just fine for most content.

Guys I think I fell for the 5/5 tile trap
I was like "fuck it" since I had almost 100k gems saved and spent pretty much all of them to spark for Steven twice and only got him to 4/5.
What a shame, I wanted to roll for SS Kris in September to pair her with Archie then try my luck with Cynthia(I just really liked her music and wanted it in my jukebox) and then spark on Halloween for Roxanne.
I think all of them are out of the table unless Dena drops some big apologems.
This would've all been avoided if you could use Support candies on Steven but whats done is done
