They made character searches useless for characters with short names on CAI. It no longer seems to prioritize the name of the bot over the description. I'm trying to find an Impa bot but all that's popping up is Genshin IMPAct bots.
In the time it took me to post this because of a 15 minute wait, followed by another 15 minute wait because I didn't immediately click "Get CAPTCHA" because I dared to use my phone making me have to move to my PC anyway I figured out a lot of the old Zelda bots I used to see aren't appearing either. I already have SillyTavern with Kobold set up for any kind of smut I want, but it's good for short sessions, not long-term chatting. Remember, it's ultimately your responsibility to make chats fulfilling to your tastes. You only fit so much info into <1k tokens.

Editing messages works, but it's not a long-term fix. If you ever notice behavior that isn't to your tastes, go into your main prompt and, as plainly as possible, explain to the AI exactly what you expect from it. As if you're writing instructions to an actual human RP partner (just without the courtesy). The more 'plain' in the text I get, the more luck I've had with the bot following instructions. Just try not to waste too many tokens and restate all the same things over and over.

At the time it was by far the best of its kind until unfiltered CAI popped up a year or so later. I never got to use Dragon because I kept procrastinating on the free trial and they suddenly stopped offering it but the default model was enough for me then. The lorebook was a pretty solid feature too but I think it came around right as it was starting to go downhill.

Funnily enough the filters made half of the default prompts unusable lol. AID didn't have bots but was more of a CYOA and had default prompts you could select from along with custom ones you could type. Instead of sharing bots, people shared prompts and history for the AI to remember, this later included lorebooks when those were finally implemented
