These online guides are really misleading with the odds. I saw that the 1st to 3rd cards aren't supposed to be anything special but then I pulled immersive Charizard in the 1st slot. So I double checked in game and they mention in the notes section that even though they call attention to 4th and 5th slots being special, the cards can be shuffled around anyway when you actually open the pack.

Anyone here running vileplume? Have you had better luck using exeggutor or lilligant as your secondary mon? Lilligant is one of my favs, and it can help ramp in games where you don't get blown out early. But it sort of feels like a win more card, in that you would win against players, decks, and hands, that you already would have won against with the egg man. Meanwhile exeggutor feels like it just bathes in blood all the time. Which is normally awesome, but sometimes I find myself trapped on his 3 energy retreat cost without any x-speeds on hand.

You could very well get good rolls from the solo battle hourglasses, but in that time you could have rerolled a bunch of times and gotten to see more packs in the same timeframe
I've hit the wall, all that is left is going into online matches against whaled out chinks and their EX decks.This game just proved that I've been starving hard for a pokémon card game with natural progression that doesn't have p2w mechanics...I lost count how often I've replayed TCG 1&2 on GBC, maybe this game is the push for my buddies to join me in Tabletop for some matches.
