This is Halloween Edition

What is Pokémon Sleep?
Pokémon Sleep is a sleep tracking app that utilizes your smartphone and/or the Pokémon Go Plus + device to record data as you sleep. In doing so, you'll be able to meet a variety of Pokémon and fill out your Sleep Style Dex.

Be sure to post your Research ID so that you can add and share candy with fellow Anons. We are currently locked at 50 friends.

FAQ:
>How do Shinies work?
If you encounter a shiny Pokémon, you only need to feed it a single Poké Biscuit to befriend it.
>What should I spend my diamonds on?
Expanding your ingredient pockets, item pockets and Pokémon box. Long term you’ll want to max out ingredient pockets, only get half of max for items and max 100 for Pokémon.
>When should I use my items?
When you have a good grasp of the game mechanics. You may want to save up Recovery Incenses for event missions.
>What should I spend my sleep points on?
Poké Biscuits first or if you’re a premium user: Main and Subskill seeds and Great Biscuits.
>Can I play this game if there's a lot of noise where I sleep?
The game tracks sleep based on motion only; sound has no impact.
>A Pokémon I fed got full! Will I have to start from scratch the next time I find one?
Nope! Pokémon retain the level of progress they were at the last time you fed them.
>How do dream clusters work?
The higher your research rank, the more you get. You may want to hold onto them as long as possible.

Am I just imagining things or did I accidentally use a Raikou Incense last night?
I'm almost sure I used a Recovery + Bulbasaur Incense like I usually do during events....
>>
>>56825830
You can absolutely afford that though?

>>56826051
It's actually there in the screenshot that you used a Recovery Incense and a Bulbasaur incense.
You just got lucky with the Raikou spawn, grats anon.
Pretty sure you sent a Raikou candy my way, too.
>>
Guess he heard me complaining, that’s an instaproc right there
>>
When was your last full-invest recruit? It's looking like early June for me. Before that was maybe March, then another on New Year's, but really nothing prior to that was actually good.

>>56825830
I'm still sitting on 63. I could redeem more shard clusters to get there, but I figure I don't have the ingredient output to actually sustain it anyways.

>>
pretty disappointed in this event, I was hoping to get double gengar candies and yet all I'm getting are Bonsly and Flaffy with a Banette here and there
>>
>>56827588
I was also hoping for more Gastly candy myself, but there's not been many of them.
I really want to get my Gengar to 60, the candy requirement is pretty crazy but it'll happen in due time when I keep going to OGPP.
>>
Which one survives? They're astonishingly all about the same level of bleh.
>>
>>56828918
Keep the Calm one, it has the most prospects of being fixed with items (subskill seeds and a potential nature mint).
This isn't a game where holding onto Pokémon is a big burden.

To explain that, I did some quick analysis of level 50 Suicune at peak energy with an E4E Wiggly aboard.

>Baseline Suicune (not pictured)
Triggers 2.41 times a day apparently, so that's the relative comparison.
>Your Calm Suicune at 50
121% baseline
>Calm upgraded with two subskill seeds (Skill Trigger M + Helping Speed M)
142% baseline
>Fixed with nature mint (e.g. Careful)
156% baseline
>Theoretical perfect (Careful / Subkill Trigger S+M / Helping Speed M)
170% baseline

When measuring by daily expected main skill activations, that Suicune has a realistic shot at being 142% good over baseline, but 156% if mints are introduced, which would be one step below perfection.

Oh and also, Calm nature is technically beneficial for skill triggers, but only by a tiny amount (2.41x daily activations becomes 2.48x)

The two Docile ones by comparison don't see any viability.
>>
i am confused by stockpile/spit up
my drifloon just spat up 22k str for snorlax at skill lv 3 after triggering 7 or 8 stockpiles, which should be 9652-12124
every time i trigger spit up its different from what it should be, what gives?
>>
>>56829901
its the area bonus giving it more swag.
>>
>>56829063
Suppose the speed loss doesn't matter all that much given Suicune isn't great at gathering anyways. The same being true for most skill pokemon wanting to use their skills. It hurts, but less so compared to ingredient and berry types.

This event showed me that, despite what I previously thought, I actually do need a good mono herb Dragonite/Gengar, as I have only narrowly managed to make Keema curries, with some clutch Dream Eaters inbetween.
As a matter of fact, to make the remaining two Keema curries for today, I need to get a whooping 50 herbs.

Yeah, I'd love to get a mono-herb Dragonite myself.
I have a superb Gengar for Mushrooms and superb mono-corn Bewear.

As it happens, mono-herb Dragonite is currently the strongest ingredient gatherer by both quantity AND overall strength.
Herb/Corn/Corn Dragonite is second place due to fewer gathered, but corn is a higher value ingredient if you're limited on cooking pot space.

I'm still hunting for a "perfect" Dratini to be the one to invest into.
A number of promising ones, but nothing outright dreamlike. I'd be keen to get one that's BFS, too, but I'm recognising how excellent a straight-up max-ingredient mono-herb Dragonite would be.

I get an over-abundance of Magnezone spawns from Greengrass myself.
I've probably enough candies to ready an excellent one were I to get one, but Magnemite are usually low priority.
>>
>>56831546
>>56831552
I ran some analysis with this new Chikorita replacing the Raichu on my usual Lapis Lakeside team, and even at level 36 it's a straight upgrade thanks to the Helping Bonus subskill.

The only downside is ingredient diversity. Raichu's ginger and eggs are a boon on desserts weeks.

I was originally planning on going back to OGPP next week, but I'll be going to Lapis instead now. Might as well get that 65% area bonus up to 70% are try for that mono-herb Dratini I want.

I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do with these candies. There's nothing I actually want to dump candies into at this point.
>>
>>56835004
Handy candy S from the missions, or just Pokémon candies in general?

I've got 600 Chikorita candy I'm gonna pump into an awesome one I got today, and I'm short on candies to get either my Gengar or Victreebel up to 60.
I have a promising Dedenne and Grubbin that I want to raise up, too, but handy candy is the best way forward with them due to their rarity.
>>
>>56834170
Green grass sucks. I didn’t even bother using a ticket this week for the event.
>>
>>56835106
Would be nice if you could somehow deter certain species from appearing.

Basically repels but with qualities that ward off certain types or sleep styles, I guess.
Kinda like an anti-incense. I could see items like these being premium though, like diamonds only no sleep points.

Wouldn't change that the greengrass pool is so large that you're always going to get something you did not want.
>>
>>56835165
Oh also whilst I'm spitballing ideas.

Maybe turning excess candies into Pokémon incenses to attract that Pokémon or Pokémon of a specific type.
Think like the Candy Cram-o-matic.
It could help with finding a missing sleep style, or trying to befriend one that's worth investing into.
>>
>>56835092
Mostly Handy Candy from the missions, but also just in general. I don't have anything that I would want to boost all the way to 50 (or beyond) right now. I have a couple Larvitars that could be decent, but still holding out for a better one. But it's also not like I need more ingredient Pokemon right now.
>>
>>56835589
Well, new stuff will arrive in due time.
Most players will have gaps in their teams somewhere, even if that gap isn't particularly relevant now but becomes relevant later with the addition of a new island or new recipes.

Berry specialists also get the biggest benefit out of levelling up due to berry strength scaling on a curve. Skill specialists get the least because they rely on subskill unlocks and most likely need main skill seed investment.
>>
>>56835616
I meant more that the Pokemon I already have aren't worth investing towards.
>>
>>56835729
Fair enough, I mean keep looking and you'll get some solid finds.
>>
>>56835106
I wish I hadn't, the good camp ticket was wasted
here I was thinking I'd be seeing skeledirge and gengar instead of the same trash as usual.
>>56835165
could be useful, especially something like anti fairy incense on the beach if you're trying to get something other than jigg and mr.mime
>>
>>56836172
Mr. Mime is psychic in this game rather than fairy.
Incidentally, Jigglypuff spawns on every map except for OGPP.

As the game progresses, I think having means of discouraging certain spawns will be useful to help manage the growing roster, especially on greengrass. It might not be in the game dev's best interests though if it accelerates 100% sleep dex completion.

It depends how long they intend to support the game progression.
Level 100 is likely the end goal for content, we might only get two more islands; the one for Bug / Poison / Dragon, and another that is free-for-all like greengrass.
Level 100 is when we would see the final maximums like for ingredient storage, cooking pots, main skill levels, ingredients and recipes introduced, etc.

Also, yeah this hasn't been the best use of my good camp ticket either, this event's been a weaker one with no random Mimikyu spawns at all.
>>
>need 2 corn to make inferno curry for dinner
>bewear hasn't dropped anything but berries for the last 3 hours
Reminder that even mono-ingredient mons will betray you and berry teams are the most consistent option.
>>
>>56837380
That's because you're missing ingredient subskills.
>>
anyone else not get a reward from the time stamp tonight? is it because of daylight savings time or what?
>>
>>56835165
You'd more likely get something like a generic Type incense to push your spawns toward a general favor over the reverse. The main issue of course being you don't always have great control over which style you get, so it would have to populate some spawns without regard to your sleep style.
>>
this is somewhat a fucking lie, cause the purple headband halloween pikachus count as new sleep styles towards your sleep style goals, so it should be 9/10
>>
Well guess who just reserved a spot on the Raikou team...
>>
>>56840464
If that was a Santa Chu I would definitely invest in that.
>>
>>56839905
I got my stamp, I track sleep using the Go Plus+ but there's some quirks in the internal clock due to how Japan doesn't observe daylight savings changes. They overlooked it in initial implementation so I think they needed to hack something together.

When you start sleep tracking with a Go Plus+, Pikachu makes an excited cry if you started within your bed time range or a softer cry if you started outside of that.
My time range for the stamp is 22:45 to 00:45, but if I start tracking at around 00:00 the device thinks I'm starting tracking at 01:00 instead so I don't get the excited cry. The app knows how to account for this though and it tracks the time correctly for my current time zone.

I'm expecting the timing to have sorted itself out, because the UK and US actually observe changes in daylight savings at two different times of the year. Last Sunday in October versus first Sunday in November, I think? Implementation seems likely to have focused on US rather than UK anyway.
>>
>>56832685
Eh... let's see how I'll feel.
>>
>hit M20 from lunch
Should I make another Inferno Curry for maximum drowsy power, or make my first Perk Up Stew to level it up with a nice boost?
>>
>>56842283
Added DP from this point is just to boost the odds of good spawns, and that apparently still isn't enough to stop a bunch of 1-2 star Bonsly and Wynaut from appearing.

In this position I'd take the opportunity to make my first Perk Up Stew

I'm just shy of M20 myself, by about 300k post-dinner. I'll probably not hit it, but I got there on the Suicune event and it's not important, just would've been nice.
I had 1/3 Sunday crits, 2/3 would've made it.
>>
Wondering if I should bother using one of my Raikou/Entei/Suicune incenses tonight. Or maybe I'll just use the Mimikyu incense, not that I'll be able to catch it.
>>
>>56843426
I was tempted to use my Suicune incense, but decided it's better saved for a future legendary event.
I went with Mimikyu since I may have a shot at 3 star sleep.

Taupe for the spawns. It has lots of things I'm hunting. I considered OGPP at first but I just am not able to to get a good ranking till the end of the week and the coffee bug won't spawn at lower rankings iirc.

If you actually had a good one, I'd say it's actually a pretty good stand-in in place of an actual on-type BFS berry farmer. With 5 activations per day, it should put out about the same number of berries {[21 + (5 x 4)] x 5 = 205 from just the skill}. And that's not counting for the potential of a critical hit, which I don't think we know the actual quantities of yet.

>>56853029
Considering how good Raichu is in general, that's a nice problem to have.

Also, just learned today that the current max area bonus is actually 75%, not 70%.
Every time you reach a new sleep dex goal, the area bonus cap increases by 5%, except that reaching 390 entries increases by 10% (65% -> 75%), bucking the trend.
>>
>>56853030
It’s a single player game
>>
>>56853030
Progression in this game is so incredibly slow that the sooner you start, the better. And most of the game is RNG, so you could very well be just as strong as someone who started months earlier. The only progression you make is for yourself though, so it's not like there are any competitive aspects that would put you at a severe disadvantage for starting late or being completely f2p.
>>
>>56854276
Played since start and got a nice Garde since ralts got released.... she isn't even max level yet despite never having left the team at an point
>>
This fucking game...
The past 2-3 captures have all crit on the final biscuit when they didn't need any extra pips anyways.
>>
>>56856165
For a level 15 Pokémon with no EXP modifiers (also ignoring Good Night events), it would take 480 nights sleep to reach level 60.
Ralts only debuted back at the end of January, so at best it could only get around 300 night sleep.

It's also best practice to put all your candies into a Pokémon earlier, rather than later. You save on dream shards.

That said, I've been running the same shiny Wigglytuff on my team since December now, an early Christmas gift.
She's shared 2694 sleeping hours, but there are nights where I've had more than the 8.5 hours sleep needed to get the full 100 XP so it's not a reliable measure of number of nights sleep.
I've put a lot of candies into her though to make sure she hit level 60 quickly. The extra cacao at 60 has been very helpful.
>>
Eternal sleep
>>
Wonder if they plan to even out the type distribution for energy skill Pokemon or if they'll just naturally gravitate towards certain types (mainly Fairy). If we count Charge Energy S, there are still pretty wide gaps between self-sustaining teams for each island.
>>
>>56859654
Electric E4E would be a good battery
>>
>>56860076
What electric your would even make sense for an E4E Pokemon? Plusle and Minun would be definite Energizing Cheer users, probably even a unique version that benefits from having both.
>>
>>56860271
electrodes have been used in game to power shit

heliolisk gathers energy from the sun to give to your other pokemon
>>
>>56860450
i imagine electrode doing that or stockpile
>>
>>56860450
>>56860465
To me, Electrode is Self Destruct or Explosion and nothing else, so I imagine its skill would reflect that. Stockpile has that feeling, but does Electrode even learn that? Actually might make sense for an eventual Charge Strength L.
>>
>>56860581
Like with a drawback or cooldown, like Mimikyu's berry burst? I could kinda see that, though maybe higher payoff AND higher drawback.
>>
>>56860745
I guess they could just style a Charge Strength M, since Stockpile is actually supposed be based off S. Definitely having some big crit mechanic that can only happen once per day like Disguise.
>>
Voltorb discussion reminds me that in Magikarp Jump, Select Button's previous Pokémon mobile game, Voltorb was a bad outcome for a random event that would result in you losing your Magikarp and having to start over.
>>
To spice things up, they should have quests where the reward is a %up of snorlax's strength.
So you would complete a mission and get 10, 20, 30% strength on snorlax. Would be fun.
>>
So what's the best way to fatten up my Snorlax? Im low level have two ingredients pokemon with ingredients+ M and a pichu and Mankey with bfs. Is it better to feed relevant berries every now and then or just feed Snorlax the biggest meals possible. Should I be using my bfs pokemon if they're not the favorite berry? Why does my iggglbuff with skill trigger s and skill nature only trigger like once a day?
>>
>>56862377
>So what's the best way to fatten up my Snorlax?
The best thing you can do early in the game is make actual recipes with ingredient requirements, not just the "mixed" recipes. Reason being that those recipes will level up so that you can continue to build your power as you make meals everyday. You might need 2-3 ingredient types early on just so that you can get enough ingredients for meals, but it's probably not worth to include more than that.

>Should I be using my bfs pokemon if they're not the favorite berry?
Depends, but BFS berry Pokemon can usually perform equal or better than most other types, even if they do have the right berries.

>Why does my igglybuff with skill trigger s and skill nature only trigger like once a day?
All species have their own individual base rates which is also impacted by their speed. So while yours has a good bonus to its activation rate, it's just really slow. Once you can get it to a Wigglytuff, it will probably activate at least 3-4 times per day.
>>
>>56862377
For berry specialists, BFS without favorite berries on the same level won't typically outperform non-BFS with favorite berries.
Helping speed is also a factor in that.

For a single gathering in any case, let's use BFS Raichu and non-BFS Meganium at Lapis Lakeside as an example, level 50.
Grepa berries give 84 strength, Durin berries give 101 strength doubled to 202 on Lapis.
3x84 delivers 252 strength, 2x202 delivers 404 strength.

However, if you happen to have over-levelled non-favorite BFS helpers, you should still use them if you're prioritising strength gains over team progression.
If we compare using a non-BFS Meganium that's level 30, those berries are giving 122 strength instead, so each gathering is 244 strength.

Basically when you're in the team menu and you ask the team to make a berry gathering team, it'll pick your top five berry gatherers for your current Snorlax based on berry strength (factoring in favs) and helping speed.

Thinking I should just bite the bullet. I had been holding off on using this because it also takes a Leaf Stone, but it has Ingredient M + nature vs my BFS-only Victreebel. Both are shiny. +1 main skill level doesn't matter that much, but I'll just have to eat the loss of 5 inventory spaces.
>>
>>56862729
>>56862776
Thanks guys. So it is best to just have a constant supply of ingredients and the berries are a bonus, or just balance everything out?
>>
>>56863490
Berries are usually the majority of the strength gains during the week, due to how the scaling works.
Berry strength scales with a Pokémon's level, but ingredients do not.
However, recipe strength scales with level instead, and newer recipes with higher minimums can have very high bonuses. You should always avoid making the generic "mixed" recipe for that reason, and move away from making the simplest recipes asap.

It's also easier to get a berry specialist that has Berry Finding S, than it is to get an ingredient specialist with maximum ingredient finding.
BFS is just one subskill that can get additional boosts from helping speed subskills.
Ingredient finding however can need two subskills and a nature, and most Ingredient boosting natures have a trade-off that equates to reduced strength gains in some capacity (helping speed down being the worst, main skill chance down sometimes inconsequential)

Pretty sure all Pokemon games create new NPCs, because otherwise they would have to license them from whoever created them in the first place. Even if it's under the same Pokemon umbrella, I don't think many games actually use existing characters aside from Masters EX.

That does raise an interesting question about whether or not they'll introduce the likes of Munna and Drowzee, though.

Is there any reason why Primeape still can't evolve into Annihilape? Kinda thought we would see it on Halloween. Feels like new Pokémon evolutions are gimmicks.
>>
>>56867779
i guess cause it's a meme from gen 9 like the paradox pokemon
>>
>>56866910
This one. You aren't actually using any of the Slowpoke family, you just want to unlock the tails so that you can pick it up from Ingredient Magnet or Ingredient Tickets.
>>
>>56866910
Slowpoke family isn't actually worth running, the helping speed is too slow, the subskill isn't particularly useful against E4E, and slowpoke tails are a massively overrated ingredient needed for two dishes that are long since outclassed.

Image in this post illustrated that setting up a slowpoke tail farmer isn't justified: >>56833533, it's last place in both quantities gathered and ingredient strength values contributed over time.

However, you still want to unlock Slowpoke tails so you can receive them in ingredient tickets or ingredient magnet activations, they're still massively strong ingredients individually and best used in Sunday dishes on important events.

So basically, use your EXP gains boosted Slowpoke, unlock level 30 ASAP and just get your Slowpoke tails unlocked.
Consider waiting for a Candy Boost event, we're probably due one soon, and will certainly happen in December.

All evolution methods in Sleep generally match those in main series, including level, friendship points (sleep hours), trading (link cable), and items (thunder stone, mirror coat, king's rock, etc). They ignore knowing a move though.

Primeape's evolution method into Annihilape is tied into knowing a move AND using it in battle 20 times, which is completely absent from Sleep and therefore needs some alternative evolution method like how Pokémon Go does it.
That said, Bonsly, Mime Jr., and Eevee are featured in this game and have evolution methods that normally require knowing a move, but not using them in battle.
Bonsly and Mime Jr, simply evolve by reaching a minimum level instead, whilst Eevee into Sylveon evolves by sleeping for 150 hours. Meaning Sleep simply ignores the "knowing a move" part.

It would've been really awkward to feature Eevee without featuring all of its evolutions, after all.
>>
>>56867960
Primeape could evolve by having 0% energy, a way of using it "in battle"
>>
>>56867969
That sounds counter intuitive, also a headache if you're running an E4E team and want it to get depleted.
I don't have any alternatives, though.
>>
>>56868002
>also a headache if you're running an E4E team
I think most people playing this game aren't running an E4E team.
>>
>>56868020
Probably not, most people just use auto-pick or just pick highest levels, or pick their favorites.
People most engaged with the game though, I'd be interested to know how many favor E4E teams.

It hinges on having an E4E user that has high skill trigger rate though. If you don't roll one, you just won't invest that many skill seeds, further reduced by access to them limited to premium subscriptions or that one trial.
>>
>>56868020
I'm not.
>>
>>56868002
Yeah I know, if your team is at 150% you can always swap out your E4E and then swap out Primeape before going to bed. Shouldn't take more than 2 days.
>>
>>56868020
>>56868029
Looking through my recent community research though, I count
13 that do use an E4E healer, and 4 that do not. Wiggly is the most popular, and many number are even shiny. Plenty of Gardevoir, did not see any Sylveon.

One player is even running a level 55 shiny Jigglypuff. There's a rationale behind that! It's got a higher skill trigger rate than Wigglytuff to offset its slower helping speed.
Its RP was only 1638 though, so I'm unsure it has main skill seed investment or if that's really high for a Jigglypuff at 55.
>>
>>56868033
Yeah, since Primeape will gain only 5% energy overnight. Boxed Pokémon also don't lose any energy.
>>
Time to dump Pichus along with the past 3 weeks of recruits.
>>
>>56868239

Still wouldn't run one that lacks BFS though.

I need to figure out where I'm going since discovering sleep styles is my priority.
The event makes it easier to encounter all 9 members of the Eevee family, as well as forcing encounters outside of your measured sleep style, but it makes no mention of making certain sleep styles temporarily available on greengrass.

Here's how eeveelution sleep styles are:
>Eevee and all its evolutions can be found on Greengrass, and all can have 1, 2, 4 star sleep styles
>Only Jolteon and Sylveon have 3 star sleep styles at Greengrass; Sylveon is also Greengrass exclusive
>Eevee appears on all islands and can get 3 star sleep everywhere EXCEPT Greengrass
>Everything else gets 3 star sleep at their respective logical islands; exceptions are that Umbreon appears at Taupe Hollow and not Snowdrop Tundra, and that Sylveon doesn't appear at Cyan Beach

Taupe Hollow ends up being the best place to get missing 3 star sleep styles.
Greengrass is best if you're lacking coverage for anything not 3 star sleep, or generally want to roll for Eevees and candies.

some eeveelution skills aren't spectacular and they're fast, so BFS can make for a good berry pokemon if you don't otherwise have one, or want more. and because eevee is everywhere, it's easy to get up to friendship level 10 which guarantees a gold subskill which makes finding one with bfs not too difficult

so, very generally, you'd be looking for either
>skill subskills+nature
>help speed and bfs
on an eevee
>>
>>56873009
What are some good Eeveelutions to consider?
>>
>>56873014
depends on where you're at in the game. and what you need. but generally
sylveon/vaporeon as skill specialist, e4e and ingredient magnet are good
jolteon and espeon are fast, so they do work with bfs
>>
>>56872948
Even though Eevee is a skill trigger pokemon, if it's skill isn't triggering throughout the day, it's not really doing much else on your team. Some days you'll have bad trigger days, so berry finding allows your Eevee to still produce good strength even when you have poor trigger rates

With those spawn rates a female eevee (or sprigatito for that matter) is just like a shiny, does nothing but you can show everyone you have a rare catch. I don't sexualize my pokes, but in my headcanon I believe some eeveelutions fit a certain gender better. Umbreon, flareon and jolteon are male. The rest are female. Leafeon can be whatever. A kiki/booba situation but with eeves, if you prefer
>>56873009
Nice chart
>>
>>56873049
Espeon is also a top tier Charge Strength M user, worth considering if you get one with max skill trigger rate.
>>
Eevees as BFS substitutes works a lot better earlier in the game, but now that there are more pokemon, most of the Eeveelutions end up being only decent at best. I feel it's mostly due to their lack of decent ingredients as most of them aren't particularly fast to make up for Milk being so weak.

I checked what I'm missing, and there's three sleep styles I can get for Flareon and Espeon for Taupe hollow, so that's definitely where I'll go for Eevee week.
Jolteon will be an inevitability as I keep going to OGPP, I haven't yet had a reason to go back to Cyan Beach or Snowdrop Tundra, but I'll eventually get my 3 star Vaporeon/Glaceon that way.

>>56875119
I feel that's especially true for Jolteon, which was a good pick for a Raikou team at a time where Luxray (nor an electric type ingredient specialist) did not yet exist.

Sylveon does still outclass Wigglytuff as a dedicated E4E healer, but Jigglypuff candies are more abundant and has two evolutions available
Eevee and Vaporeon are the most accessible skill specialists with Ingredient Magnet S, the only other option is the rare Heracross which is both slower and has a lower skill trigger rate (but has a higher pity proc rate).

Oh, speaking of pity procs.
I have a suspicion that changing your team does more than reset readied skill activations, I think it may also be resetting their pity count.
My max skill rate Wigglytuff hasn't been proccing a lot this week, and I think that's due to how frequently I've been swapping between Blastoise and Victreebel to try and make butter curries.

Is Gengar as good as Banette?
>>
>>56876351
Gengar is faster, so a BFS Gengar compared to a non-BFS Banette, Gengar is actually better. Actually, even compared to a BFS Banette, Gengar still wins out due to its superior ingredient power. Gengar still gets like... 75% of the berries Banette does if both have BFS.

Should I bite the bullet and power level her to 60?
She'd be about 1800exp away from the cap with the current amount of Ralts candies so I'd have to dig into my Handy Candy reserves.
>>
>>56876845
It's decent, but I don't see why you would try to boost it to 60. You don't gain that much in ingredients, nor do you really gain that much from berry power compared to Pokemon actually specialized in those areas. If anything, it's just going to make it even harder for Gardevoir to wake up with 2x skill triggers between the Berry Finder and 4x Apples.

I'm sure you could find better ways to spend the 500+ candies and 300k shards.
>>
Didn't realize that this Shinx could actually be pretty good. It needs a Subskill Seed, but it would be guaranteed to hit the Ingredient Finder at 50.
>>
>>56877295
Inventory Up skills are severely overlooked for ingredient mons. I wouldn't go out of my way for Inventory Up LMS for the first three slots, but having at least Inventory Up M is helpful when your mons reach a tier that gathers +4 ingredients. Especially for single stage evo mons like Absol.
>>
>greater chance of shiny eevee appearing
best shiny eeveelution?
>>
>>56877683
Only a handful of ingredient pokemon benefit at all from more inventory since evolution from the first stage usually provides enough buffer. Not to mention now that there are ribbons, you get free space that way as well. Aside from Quagsire and the single-stagers, inventory is never really a problem. In the worst case scenario of BFS + maximum quantities of ingredients at each tier + no ribbons, they can begin to hit limits around 2 hours. Though even in that case, BFS should still be a huge bonus since those pokemon also have rather poor ingredient rates to start with.
>>
Is this one worth investing in? I would really like coffee at 30, but it doesn't seem too bad.
>>
>>56879069
It's very solid if you want a tomato and coffee farmer, helping bonus and near-max ingredient rate once you hit 50.
I'd actually love a Shinx like that because I'm lacking a proper tomato farmer for those butter curries.

Definitely keep that Shinx, it might be your best depending on what ingredient spreads you want/need.
>>
>>56879231
>>56879231
It'll take some investment and time to get it leveled, but that's good to know, thanks
>>
>>56879280
For something that you're likely to run as an OGPP fixture once it's levelled, it's actually superb.
But yeah, right now hitting level 60 is not something you just do like with level 30. That might change in the far future as they balance the game around end-game content.

Current progression suggests there's two more major updates for two new islands, at which point rank 100, level 100, area bonus 100% are unlocked.
Depending how they approach things anyway, this is a game as a service that could last basically forever should they want it to, and can avoid a permanent shutdown by turning into a purely single-player local-storage version at end of service.
>>
>>56879302
I could at least have it for the tomatoes and occasional skill for now. Could help me progress on higher level islands
