Is red card useless? I feel like without a hand scope it's too much of a gamble to use. Not only can it save your opponent from a bricked hand, it's not even a guarantee to disrupt a good hand aince it might just give back his key cards. If they ever release a trainer card that guarantees a heads on first coinflip then Marrowack is gonna be crazy. Dragonite deck is unstable as fuck, especially without a misty, but holy shit is it fun. Yeah actually they need to just completely remove weakness. Half the cards in the game are completely unusable because they're "costed" to have a certain amount of HP / breakpoint against enemies (e.g. 80 HP to survive a Sandslash or whatever), but happen to have exactly enough HP to get oneshot by like Pikachu ex or whatever. It's just not fun. Lapras is a great example, it's an unplayable card.
