Starmie needs a nerf in the form of my opponent never drawing it.
I don't understand why they thought 0 retreat cost was okay. Everyone runs X Speed anyway, so at minimum it needs to have 2 retreat cost to have some effect.

i was told the monkey deck was good but they throw starmie ex turn 2 or pikachu ex turn 1 with 2-3 benched electric ones and i dont even draw the primeape IF i even get the mankey early on to self inflict damage. maybe the kabutopses would help
>>56877422How could Mankey ever be good when it has to spend a turn in the active hitting itself for Primeape to be worth it
>>56877385ultimate blackpill of this game is that the cancer arent the coinflip cards but rather the inverse of them - the overly optimal mons like starmie and pikachu that punish the worst form of variance: getting bricked early game. they set up quickly and can be up and running by the opponent's second turn, all while having cheap RC. you can't play your way out of a starmie/pika as easily as a marowak that will miss coin flips or a cheap attacker that lacks bulk and damage.
Weezing/Venusaur is very fun. Venusaur EX can solo like half the decks in the game. Erika + 2 potions + Venusaur heal = 120 HP heal in one turn. I learnt that you shouldn't place your 4th basic pokemon on the bench most of the time in this deck because of Sabrina. Weezing can also sometimes just win you games without Venusaur.
>>56877422Gaming communities always think any synergy or exploit is broken. Eventually, you'll learn that they're almost always wrong. Nothing about the Pikachu deck is remotely synergistic or exploitative and it's the best deck.

I am 99% sure this is the currently the best Mewtwo list in the format.Mandatory cards (17):- Gardevoir line x2-2-2- Mewtwo x2- Professor x2- Pokeball x2- X Speed x2- Potion x2- Sabrina x1 Leaving 3 open slots:- Basics like Meowth, Jynx, Kangaskhan... rarely Farfetch'd or baby Mewtwo (the 120hp one)- Giovanni- A second Sabrina- Red Card- FossilsFossils suck in this deck, running extra basics is fine but the more consistent strategy is NO additional Pokemon.Meta is currently DOMINATED by Pikachu, and Giovanni is excellent against it. Red Card is generically strong against every deck.So for the last 3 slots, pick one of the following:- Giovanni x2 // Red Card x1- Basic x2 (Jynx+Kang or Meowth x2 are great here)) // Red Card x1 - Basic x1 (one of the above) // Red Card x1 // Giovanni x1

Based on the coupon collector problem, we can determine how many booster packs you'd have to pull from to complete a set. For reference, this says that you need to pull 264 commons (1 diamond) on average in order to get a playset of the commons from a pack. That's about 90 packs. Per pack. You need 170 uncommons (two diamonds) to get all the uncommons from a pack. That's about 110 packs. Per pack. You need 50 rares (3 diamond) to get a playset of those. That's about 200 packs. Per pack. You need to pull 10 ex pokemon to get a playset of those, which is about 120 packs.Remember that these numbers are really multiplied by 3, because there are 3 packs to open from. While I think it's already insidious that it takes twice as long to get all the rares as it does to get all the ex pokemon, I think the truly horrifying thing is that you can have opened near to 300 packs and still be missing commons from the set.
I feel like I used to see this fat birb in every deck early on and now no one plays him. What gives? Is he shit?
>>56877439>I learnt that you shouldn't place your 4th basic pokemon on the bench most of the time in this deck because of SabrinaYou pick for Sabrina. >>56877651>Every game is basically the same, you hope you draw Kirlia and Gardevoir soon enough or you just loseAre you doing Oak into Pokeball to draw Ralts and Pokeball into Oak to draw Kirlia/Gard? How are you managing your resources like Sabrina and X Speed? Are you leaving your main Ralts to get slapped by the opponent? Can you post your deck?
>>56877651Pikachu EX is a “win before they set up deck”. If you’re playing against it, you need disruption and stall to waste their time while you set up.
>>56877651Yeah, I find the Mewtwo deck boring too. High retreat costs and a straight forward game plan. You only need to make a choice in retreating like 1 in 6 games where it isn't clear what to do.
>>56877675I always Pokeball first so I can draw the most cards. X speed is either to get a turn 1 Ralts out or to switch Mewtwos to save my first and if my second one can swing. I usually save Sabrina for if I can get a snipe. Deck list is identical to this >>56877462 except I use two Sabrina and one Giovanni

>>56877686>I always Pokeball first so I can draw the most cards.Sometimes it's best to Oak first. Getting a dead card later is worth getting a basic you really need first.>X speed is either to get a turn 1 Ralts out or to switch Mewtwos to save my first and if my second one can swingThat's good.>I usually save Sabrina for if I can get a snipeNot always the best play. Especially if you have 2, and you're going first. It may be best to use it early to stall, and swing the energy economy into your favor.>Deck list is identical to this except I use two Sabrina and one GiovanniIf you think you're having momentum problems, switch things up for a Jynx, Kangaskhan, or 1 or 2 Meowths. You can also try fossils.I forgot to ask something: how early are you playing Ralts? If you play Ralts with only 1 Pokemon on the field, your Ralts is open to be Sabrina'd.
>>56877618I just think most people find Sabrina to be an easier way to force someone to switch since it's only a 1 card investment instead of 3. It's not a bad card it's just you need 3 cards in your 20 card deck to get janky Sabrina or 6 if you want it to be more consistent and most deck struggle to fit that many cards into them and still do what they want to do.
>>56877704>Sometimes it's best to Oak first. Getting a dead card later is worth getting a basic you really need first. How does this work?
>2x zard ex and moltres ex>0 charmeleonsCome on you little shit
Handscope and Pokedex are underrated.
Is it worth to spend 36 wonder hourglasses on a 20% chance?
>>56877704Thanks for the tips. As for Ralts, I usually just slap them down as soon as I can get them. I haven't had them sniped with Sabrina very often, and when they are, it's late in the game when I needed them to be Gardevoirs already. And if I hold them back that long, I'm just playing without them
>>56877722Imagine this card line up>Basic you don't need>Trainer/evo>Trainer/evo>Basic you needNow, if you ball then Oak, you get a basic you don't need and two trainers. HOWEVER, if you Oak then ball, you get the basic you need. Now, consider how many Basics you have in a Mewtwo deck. At least 4, usually 5, maybe 6.You have a far greater trainer/evo to basic ratio, so that two trainer/evo gap can be a LOT larger.
>>56877385What's the best pack to pull on for my daily draws if I'm saving all of my hourglasses?
>>56877722You remove potential Mewtwos from your top deck, which makes it more likely that you ball your Ralts or vice versa. If for example, you already have both of your Mewtwos or both of your Ralts or one of each though, just go ball>oak
>>56877733That's why they're there bro... smash ittop right btw
>>56877733Not unless you really want the card. In general, stop yourself from overcapping by rolling on 20%(or 40% if you happen to see one right before capping), then use hourglasses on 40%+.
>>56877734>I usually just slap them down as soon as I can get them.If it's working fine for you so far, then just go ahead and keep doing it. But I'd still consider it. Playing without a Ralts isn't very much different from playing with a Ralts when you don't have Kirlia, and getting your Gardevoir sniped is definitely a problem that waiting until you have a fodder basic can solve.
>Open app>Open daily free packs>Collect daily reward>Search through wonder trades for something worth bothering with>Close appWell, I guess I'll just be saving until the mini set. >>56877734>I usually just slap them down as soon as I can get themThat's how you get sabrina'd and lose
>>56877653What's the best Primeape deck?
>>56877752I've never had a match that I was going to win and that happened. If that happens, I already lost my Mewtwo and don't have the resources to set up my second one
Alright, I tried out some more Gyarados games, and I genuinely don't think he can work. Yeah, you can snag the spare win or two, but he's just too much set up for just barely not enough damage/HP to make up for it. I even tried stupid shit like regular Starmie for the free retreat/low energy req so you can force feed blues into Karp/Gyara but it doesn't matter when Mewtwo can still one-shot you from full.
I'm surprised the "ball>oak is always better" is such a common misconception. Is it a holdover from TCGs with targeted tutors or is it something else? We had this discussion the other day too.
>>56877737depends what you're going for, if you just want cheap cards that can build a solid deck quick go charzard since Blaine fire decks can hit pretty well above their weight class and exeggutor can let you build a decent grass deck.if you're going for what pack has the most good cards probably mewtwo since it has weezing, marowak, mewtwo (obviously), articuno, and dragonite.
>>56877763I assume people don't think about it beyond minimizing the chance of waste
So I had an idea for a greninja/bruxish deck to mess around with. Should I toss articuno ex in there as well or no?
>>56877735That does make sense, but it's a pretty specific use-case. I don't think most decks will fall into this scenario.
>>56877762of course he won't work. deleting an energy from a mon is really not that big of a deal in pocket with both free energies and how cheap retreats are. fun mon in theory but just too much effort with no payoff sadly

>>56877777checkedarticuno's a good fitif you're based you'll slot seadra in tho

>>56877777I run a similar list. It's not bad, but it's lacking in power until Greninja is online. Articuno definitely helps. I stopped running it once I got better options though. Still waiting for Starmies so I can play Greninja again
>Round 1 hand>Sabrina>Sabrina>Potion>Potion>ShitmonI don't like this one bit
>>56877730I disagree. The decks are so small that I'm going to play 50-75% of my deck in every game, so it doesn't really matter if I know what's coming a turn early. I guess it's not bad as a deck filler instead of something like a red card. As for handscope, why would I care what you're doing when my deck is busy ramping up. The only time handscope is really useful is trying to decide if you want to red card.
>>56877777I tried a similar thing with Poliwrath instead of Gren. It was alright, you'll probably see better success since Gren synergies much more. Will probably be fun.
>>56877764I need my first wonderpick, are any of these worth? I got a Blastoise EX from one of my first packs.
>>56877792Seriously fuck my ass
>>56877781Deleting energies is no big deal because the only mixed energy deck that has a hope of keeping up with the meta decks is Dragonite. If more ridiculous mixed energy mons get introduced, mons like Gyrados and Mawile really get a massive buff in viability.
>already have 50 wins in the pvp event>will not keep joining the queue>I can stop and have fun not worrying about metashitters>I'm a Lilligant player btw
>>56877796If you can snag another Blastoise from top middle you'd be on your way to having a deck for it, but 1 card wonderpicks are usually bad odds.
>>56877777Whenever I put a bird into a deck that's otherwise regular pokemon, I just end up sitting on that bird the entire game and losing when it dies. IMO it's not worth it. You need to lean into your deck's strengths.
Damn, once venusaur EX is ready to go, he's unstoppableBut I'm not sure how to set him upSnorlax kinda works to just sit there doing nothing, but then the opponent realizes that and also doesn't touch him
>>56877796honestly when it comes to wonder picks I just browse and see if I notice anything I want. If so I try for it, if not I just ignore it. If you don't want to waste any golden hourglasses and the game isn't forcing you to pick I'm pretty sure they have a free wonder trade option every few hours
>>56877802This isn't a bad thing though you can use every support card asap before you get red carded

>>56877818Two main ways are Lilligant like >>56877823 said for an energy battery or Caterpie/Butterfree. >>56877903For rat you can use one (or two) of your mons as walls while you set yourself up. I tend to let a Lilligant get knocked out if it means I get one more attack off/one more free energy for Venu. Or you can hit with Petilil, evolve next turn for 60 damage (which is an important threshold) + one energy and then either just hit again or use Erika to keep Lilli on the field farming. For ape you try to safeguard Bulby as much as possible to swing big toad dick and kill it in one shot.Of course, it all depends on your draws. Ideally you want to start off with Peti up front and a Bulb in the back. Works best going second. Try to get Lilli as quickly as possible to get the engine online and then it's a matter of farming as much as you can while chasing the evos.Get comfortable with maneuvering with retreats to safeguard the important pieces (sometimes it's best to spend the energy to reposition that you can gain later from Lilli). Last ditch effort is putting the bodies in front of Bulba so he can naturally get the energy.
Wouldn't it be funny if ball tutored from the bottom instead of the top or randomly, making this whole discussion pointless?
>>56877883That's on you, man. Think about it from a casual's perspective. 3 weeks to get 45 wins. If they've got a ~50% win rate, that would take 6 games a day (15 wins a week, 2-3 wins a day). In my experience, each game is around 8 minutes. That's about an hour of play a day. For a casual player, an hour a day for 3 weeks is way too much. These are just rough numbers. Remember that a casual is ftp and doesn't have a playset of Pikachus and Mewtwos. Don't sperg out on me.
>>56877895Makes me think of the Mewtwo player that had his big boy sitting on the active spot with an Alakazam in the back. If I put the final energy to kill M2, Alakazam could kill me; if I didn't, I didn't get the heal to survive M2. Quite simply outplayed, I wasn't even mad.
>>56877893I play this too but I have no Eirikas so I use other trainers and just pretend I don't need the healing.
>>56877870I would like to promote to Weezingchad, but I only have one Weezing and one Koga so far. Greninja is also a mon I have interest in running, but I haven't pulled one so far

>>56877778I thought so too but I have been trying it and while my sample size is still small I like what I'm seeing. If there is a specific basic I need I use oak first, since the problem with oak first is that it could get you the target you need making pokeball less useful so this only works when the target is more important than a useless pokeball. If don't care which basic I get I use pokeball first, this maximizes the usefulness of the pokeball while oak gets to grab something other than the basic you just got.It took me a while but the anon a few threads back explained it well to me. It's about increasing the chances of getting the basic you need vs getting the best from both cards.

>supporter full arts don't have flairsAlso I noticed that flairs appear when you attack. I wish they also appeared when selecting your active pokemon.
>>56877960NTA but for me it's the opposite. My deck only uses two basics, so if I have one and need the other, Pokéball first gives me a 2/3s chance of getting the basic I need, whereas if I were to Oak first, I might hit the one I don't need/already have. It all depends on deck/playstyle.

I've reached the point where im just conceding immediately if I get first turn. It's not even worth the effort if you aren't playing a Misty Deck.

>>56877880I don't think you understand. Those kinds of campaigns are never to actually thank players. Pokémon will never have to do such campaigns, because they're one of the biggest franchises in the entire world, bar none.

>>56877918As a fellow Venuchad, I approve this message. I sacrifice my Lilli in most of my games. Hitting that 60hp threshold with Peti/Lilli is so nice. I've only got one Venu Ex, but the deck still works just fine. I've only had to use the regular Venu once in the past 30 games, but it was a lost cause because the opponent was a Charizard. Mewtwo decks don't give me any problems because they're even slower with lower consistency. I haven't faced enough Pikachus to give an opinion on them.

Missing Venusaur, Exeggcutor, and Erika in my effort to make a Grass deck. Missing a lot really, but I reckon those might be key. Should I tear open Charizards or Mewtwos in the name of 'make something half-functional as soon as possible?'

guys I'm getting worried. I've been doing the PvP event with an incomplete arbok/pidgeot deck (I'm missing a single Pidgeot so I've just been substituting that with the weezing line) and in my last 7 matches 6 have been mewtwo and one Pikachu. I've won them all since in the mewtwo matches my snake or weezeing can take out the mewtwo before they can set it up or take out their psychic cheerleaders before they hit stage 2 crippling them and in the Pikachu match... well that one just came down to my opponent drawing like ass.People are playing other decks besides mewtwo right?
>>56878205There is a reason; they're cool. >mfw I pull a FA Golbat
>>56878212>People are playing other decks besides mewtwo right?>30 matches into the event>more than 20 of those matches were MewtwoNo.
>>56878189you need to stall for that deck to work, some variants I've seen have frostmoth/Articuno small for sleep/paralyze stall, or try to set up omastar to just stop them attacking outright. It's like the diesel engine of the game right now, bitch to set up but damn does it go once you do.
>>56878187I actually don't run Potions, but Sabrinas. I'd rather have the switch tempo to generate more energy. Too much stall makes me a dull boy.

>>56878240>Wouldn't Pinchurin be cheaper/faster?Misty... well that and mini articuno has 100 health and only 1 energy retreat cost so even if the misty fails you can just have it be a wall and get beat on until it dies or you get dragonite up and can retreat it with a single point of energy or an ex-speed if you got one.
The normal queue is so cooler now that all the netdeckers are in the event queue. I ran into a Brock deck, a Kabutops deck, and a Seadra deck.

Some slight editing of the examples is probably needed, but the core points are actually unchanged becauseOak - > Ball>Still potentially removes basics that could get in the way of ball tutoring a specific basicBall - > Oak>Removes a basic from the deck before making you draw two cards, meaning those two cards you draw are less likely to be basic Pokemon

>>56878390We should also be able to pick ban cards like a moba and force people to change their deck at the last second

Dual energy decks should get 2 energies per turn.
>>56877444>Nothing about the Pikachu deck is remotely synergistic or exploitativeWrong. You bench Pikachu, feed it with energy, your active pokemon is voltorb which will high likely will evolve for 0 retreat cost, sparing you the x speed to use with Zapdos and Pikachu.
Dual energy decks should be banned.
Am I the only one that is a reverse-Karen? I wanna run a Charizard deck, but I do not like Moltres as a pokemon at all.
>>56878322Not gonna spend money on a free to play game this soon, which is a shame because the Gardevoir cosmetics are nice. My rule is they've earned my money if I actually stick with it long term. so when the next set of packs drop you think they're going to stick to mostly Kanto again or do you think they'll splash Johto in?
>>56878419Praying for Johto but it could just be Kanto EXs and another small assortment of random gen mons
>>56878419I really really hope they don't do expansions based on generations, it's been done on so many different Pokemon things and it makes it a crapshoot for certain newer mons.I'm hoping the Kanto focus was just a marketing decision basically, and that expansions from now on will just have whatever theme they want to run with. Fuck waiting a year for anything cool from Sinnoh or two years for anything cool from Alola.
Should I buy out the limited monthly hourglasses instead of the cheaper one-time hourglassed?
>>56878426I brought the first time ones to make my deck building go along faster. You'll most likely have time every month to clear out the pack hourglasses. The wp hourglasses you can get from bonus picks.
Update on the no Lapras situation. I've completed all event tasks, having defeated the expert deck for the 20th time tonight. Now that it has been 24 packs with no Laprasx, would any of you like to make a prediction on which pack I open will have my first Lapras? And how many monkeys will I have pulled by that point?
>>56877462I run this with drowzee and hypno for sleep coin shenanigans.
I'm just wondering if the next big pack drop is going to have a larger focus on duel energy decks? I mean this first pack set seems more to just get people use to playing the game by making mono energy decks better with a hint of duel energy with the dragonite line. Wonder if the next packs will have more duel type cards and support to make said decks less rng depended.
>>56878428Between 1 and infinity I guess.
>>56878428Yeah the future is looking grim if they don't do anything about this. There should definitely be some sort of pity or guarantee system that lets you get everything for playing through their events.
>>56878428not sure if it helps or just superstition on my part but I got all the alternate art cards and monkey before getting my first lapras and then couldn't pull a second on to save my life so I started holding the primo packs in the hopes that opening more then one at a time would work and it did. >>56878818Vegas mentioned
>>56878820Wrong image, whoops
>>56878727It’s pretty sad, honestly. There aren’t any punishments for losing in the event, yet people are clearly getting salty based on the online discourse I’ve seen + the lack of thanks and friend request accepts.I’ve had some really good games, including a win against an articuno deck that used blizzard on turn two and a win against a set up zard that required me to play towards a 3% out. Basically no one has thanked or accepted friend invites.
>>56878833Why anyone would rely on this card for anything other than stalling is beyond me.>>56878837Invites I can understand because not everyone wants to be filled with randos.
My wonder picks are pure fire.
>>56878818He gives and he takes away>Raichu feels more of a menaceNah. Raichu is too energy hungry. Zapdos fits better into the deck as a basic that can soak attacks, poke when needed, and retreat easily. You NEVER want to rely on zapdos ex’s coin flips as your win con, but sometimes you have no choice. Raichu would be decent if surge didn’t suck, I guess. It blows that the best use for raichu (one-shotting mewtwo ex) can’t be done without telegraphing it to your opponent.
>>56878837>+ the lack of thanks and friend request accepts.Huh, I didn't notice anything like that while playing the event. Made some friends who played cool decks too.
>>56878858And I just lost 3 in a row.
I have never lost against a Dragonite deck.
>use Red Card>your opponent conceded
>>56878895Red card does psychic damage if you use it at the very start of a match.
>>56878879Lost to one that Giovannied. This should be against the rulesm
Shouldn't have won this, unluckiest zard
>>56878862It’s probably because I’ve been running a pikachu deck, but that’s one of the reasons I mentioned the decks that I did. I’m not sure why someone running a very competitive looking zard deck (who seemingly knew to hold basics to block sabrina) would be mad about losing a close game to a pika deck. Likewise, I would think I’d be more surprised than angry if someone managed to win against *the* misty meme (turn 1/2 blizzard). The event bracket is pretty sweaty, overall. I thought that was the point.
>Pincurchin keeps winning the paralysis coin flip>Frosmoth/Wigglytuff Ex/Hypno keeps winning the sleep coin flips>Opponent plays Starmie ex turn 3/4Which is more frustrating?
>>56877385played f2p just fine for a month but something in me broke this morning and i whaled out for like 200 bucks. i can afford it fine, sure, but feels bad to give in. and still no moltres EX rip. at least all the collections are done.
>>56878954>Hypno keeps winning the sleep coin flipsI’m assuming this one because it requires two coin flips to have the opponent stay asleep in their turn.

>>56879000yes, you have to understand that every feature in a gacha like this is specifically designed to create engagement, the idea with wonder picks is that you'll get so frustrated you'll just buy a bunch of packs.
>>56879008If there's a deck/meta that's particularly annoying or oppressive, sometimes I want that dopamine hit, but I haven't felt that in this game. The only times I get stomped are when a Charizard pops off or I'm at a type disadvantage. There's nothing to be mad about that, though. It is what it is. Charizard is going to do Charizard things and there's no shame in losing a match with a substantial disadvantage.
>>56879008If they brick or just can't get going, the former. I obviously want to win, but I also want them to at least have a chance. If it was a tight game and it could've gone either way up to the very end, the latter. no news on trading yet? worried that they're going to be overly cagey with it, like having a new resource both players need to give up in order to gas the trade or something. or you can only trade like for like rarity. i guess it would break the game if there were no restrictions, but still.
>140 but you have to discard all energy>130 and only discard one energy, which means shit since you get a free energy every turnThis shit doesn't make sense. In both cases it should be 2 energy for it to be balanced.
>>56879098obviously. what do you think what kind of game this is?
I love this little bastard
>>56879100it's not meant to be balanced. one card is shit and makes you want to get another pack for something better, the other is decent.
>>56879100Balance? In MY card game? Outta here with that sound logic.
>3 games in a row lost solely because my opponents opened 2 pokeball/2 oakwow, amazing
>>56879022>There's nothing to be mad aboutWhen it comes to trading card games, this is generally true. You should always analyze your own gameplay for misplays, but you have to keep in mind the inconsistencies inherent to the game and your deck. >>56879100Raichu would be acceptable if surge allowed you to choose how many lightning energy you move from the bench. As is, surge is often a momentum killer, and because it’s a trainer support card, you can’t use it alongside important stuff like gio / sabrina / research.
>>56879100all Raichu needs to be balanced is a 50 attack that only needs one energy besides the 140 attack
>>56879132>>56879149>make surge good>give raichu a decent pokeWhy not both? Doesn’t feel like they wanted to the combo to be very strong when you think about it. Electabuzz sucks. Electrode is decent but rarely your go-to cleaner. And raichu drains all of your energy for an attack that is incapable of wiping out a lot of relevant threats. In the current metagame, raichu feels more like a pika mirror match tech, but I don’t think it’s good enough to run over pincurchin / zebstrika.

Yeah they need to do something to balance the dual energy system. There needs to be the ability to pick your starting energy or an increasing chance of getting the opposite energy as opposed to rolling. a 1/2 over and over again.
>>56879242t. person on the receiving end of a Misty OTK

>>56879251They could make it so there's a pattern to the energy that appears (ex. Water -> Lightning -> Water -> Lightning -> etc.)

>>56879310What?
I thought playing Muk would be fine but it really is too costly.
>>56879172Eh, the zero retreat cost is great. I just don’t think it makes sense to run electrode as your stage one in pika when zebstrika provides way more flexibility and value. Chipping something in the active or on the bench to put it within pika ko range is so important for setting up win conditions, and you get that for only one energy, meaning you can start swinging as early as turn 3.

>>56879326Stop shilling your channel here
Anyone try out regular Mewtwo in the psychic deck yet? Picrel went undefeated in the swiss stage of a 1000 man tourney, I just played like 3 games where I wish I had something that lived a 90 instead of my Jynx. I wish the rc was lower but the fact it can tank and dps is pretty cool utility.
>>56879350Seems decent to me. Card counts are good too. Might consider an extra sabrina if you aren’t comfortable with red card, but I think 2x potion is the right call in mewtwo.
>>56879333Don't gaslight. People steal ideas for their YouTube videos from everywhere, Discord, Reddit, Quora; 4chan is no different. In the past 10 years, I've seen videos based on ideas from threads on /v/, /vp/, /co/, /a/, and /toy/ before.
>>56879350Something people have yet to realize and I don't know how is that having something that needs to get hit by Articuno/Pikachu/Starmie twice as opposed to once is the line between winning and losing those match ups. You'll find lots of lists of random decks with 1x Kanghaskhan, you can pokeball into it and randomly donk or get the turn that you need to win. Unfortunately for most types they don't have a big basic or even a big stage 1.
>Japanese full art Eevee yesterday>Full art Nidoqueen this morning>Another full art Eevee just nowMy wonder pick luck is amazing.
I do not like full art exeggutor ex, and yet it's the only one I've gotFeels like goofy art of a cartoon character with their cock and balls out which is then used as a shocking twitter replyBut then people find out it was originally made on deviantart unironically or something
How does wonder pick work exactly for my pulls? I just pulled an Articuno and Mewtwo EX and want to know if that'll show up for others if I keep pulling or if I should let it stay for the day
>>56879372I've been using Heatmor as a stopgap mon for my fire deck. Works, I guess.
So uh... this is the power of meta decks
>>56879056>no point dragging out a match you know you'll loseIf they take out my heavy hitter and all I've got is a Farfetch'd on the bench and nothing in hand, sure. I'll forfeit. But you'd be surprised how often people make poor plays or just fuck up what they're doing. I've pulled victory from shitty situations quite a few times.
>>56879372As a pika player, I agree with your breakdown. It’s also why I think potion is really good in decks like mewtwo. Pika’s win condition is reliant on knocking out mewtwo without taking the 150 in return. If potion keeps you out of that 90 break point (or even above 100 if zapdos is being set up), your shot at victory is much better. In general, I think mewtwo is a small consistency boost away from being better than pika because the matchup isn’t usually a blowout as it stands right now.
>>56877601I cannot get enough copies of cards for the life of me dude. I've gotten 0 Erikas, 0 Sabrinas 1 Zap. I have to craft basic shit because I simply can't pull a middle stage evo. This shit sucks.

>>56879400I’ve posted it a few times already, but I banked everything on a 3% chance win condition yesterday vs a set up zard and pulled it off. No sense in scooping when you aren’t dead, even if a gio / sabrina might do you in.
>>56879356I actually run dual sab in my own since I feel like it helps play out of bricks more, so I’d probably do the same if I ran this. >>56879372Yeah that’s pretty much why I considered running it, sadly I don’t actually have the mon or Kangaskhan so I’d have to craft or wonder pick it

Even Double Colorless could be viable if that were the case (with the 2 card limit). I can't wait for equips. I don't know what they'll be, but I think shit like the promo Mankey/Primeape would go fuckin hard with some equips.

>>56879386>>56879402>>56879410>>56879427While I've got you here I would like to express a few more game fundamentals that people don't pay enough attention to.-Make your opponent take 4 prizes, in deckbuilding figure out how to force your opponent to need to take 4 points worth of knockouts in order to win the game. The easiest(and worst) way to do this is to make a deck that has only ex pokemon for your opponents to take knock outs on. Ex pokemon's health values are not so inflated that your opponent needs to work harder to take 2ex pokemon down(unless its eg/venu) than they would to take down 2 normal pokemon + 1 ex pokemon. So you want to craft your deck in a way where the health and damage values line up vs opposing match ups that make it difficult for your pokemon to be taken down. For example, I'm going to use my current deck. Whether I lead khan, egg or abra because of the double x-speed its very easy to get swinging immediately to either match the more aggressive decks or put pressure on a slower deck like Mewtwo. 100/120/130/160 are all health breakpoints that are difficult for meta decks to swing at outside of their perfect scenarios which they aren't going to get because of the board pressure forcing retreats/resource usage. Even with the heavy retreat costs of my team their low energy requirements make it very easy to swap them around on board to deny knock outs and games will always go long when your opponent has to do 400+ damage to end a game and Alakazam will generally one-tap all of the big set up pokemon or one tap them after they get egg on their face as my guys will always find themselves attacking first. Card advantage comes in many forms and you have to recognize what the cards in a deck actually are on the board where the game happens to figure out how to get more value out of your own cards. Abilites, HP, Retreat and Damage, if you can conceptualize them all you'll be able to build more fun decks and win with them.
>>56879549I think it’s based on total wins. Your win count carries on between tiers.

>>56879566>>says a guy is probably stealing ideas from us>>you think it's shilling>retardsWhat better way to get people here to watch the video?
Some retard just spent the whole game playing every card and ability he could just to drag the game out (2 hypno's sleep abilities on my already sleeping pokemon) Then when he had the chance to KO me he evolved his pokemon instead, didn't have the energy to attack, then Sabrina'd my Pokemon into a fossil waking it up so I could switch it back in to take the win
I guess the general advice about wonder trade is only do it when there is a god pack and never just for one card you want because most of the time you will fail to get it and you will be consumed by anger?
>>56879619Idk say he's a good player. I also posted the video in the previous thread, which was a different steamer. I don't care about these streamers but I do find it odd how we theorycraft about decks then I see someone playing that exact deck a day later. Anyway if I see someone else coincidentally posting a deck we theory crafted about I'll post that too.
What's the best emulator to play on PC?
>>56879631The odds of a god pack appearing in WP are really low, though. I think the odds of someone getting one of those is less than 1% and if it contains anything above two stars it won't show up in WP. You're better off spending your stamina when you see something you really want and just bracing yourself for disappointment while keeping your Wonder Hourglasses in case you see a god pack.
>Persian Mankey deck in the ranked/event battles>cant really get my mankey/primape out>have persian set up though>first attack coinflip success, discards a Greninja>nice>next turn, DISCARDS ANOTHER Greninja>opponent immediately concedesKEKMeowth/Persianpilled draw/discardcels where we at
>>56879631Just wonder trade if you see a single card you want. Waiting for a godpack is just a waste of time, especially since you can somehow pick the single bad card in the pack.
>>56879631After netting the second zapdos ex I needed, I’ve just been patiently waiting for stamina to refill while watching for pulls with two cards of triple diamond rarity or higher. You get better odds for the same cost that way.
Finally got a promo mankeyCan rape ape work with only one? Also this looks goofy fun >>56879649
>>56879651>Just wonder trade if you see a single card you wantThat is what I did! I wanted the last stage of tynamo and ended up getting a fucking Scyther and now I am MAD!
>>568796562 Promo Mankeys are preferable, but 1 regular mankey 1 promo mankey works too
Fina-fucking-ly
>>56879629>guy has Pikachu with two energy and three on the bench>I have Mewtwo with 1 energy and Gardevoir on the bench>enters his turn>he could KO my Mewtwo by attacking this turn and then attacking again next turn, winning the game>instead he switched out to a basic to tank a hint , which I Giovanni and KO>he then brings Pikachu back in which only does 60 damage because he lost one of his bench>and now I can just Psystrike for the 150 damagewhy did he do this
>>56879657RNG is RNG. You can always use your stash to restore wonder trade if you actually see a godpack.
>>56879670I got a god pack once, it had two zapdos ex, a pikachu ex and two wigglpuff ex...i ended up getting one of the fucking wigglipuffs...
>>56879549>>Gold is at 45 wins total>So I would need 60 more wins anon...
>>56879326its possible but info gets around fast nowadays. its not 1999 anymore. a time where the only place you could get meta info from is kids on the playground and game magazines that might have recorded your local's tourney results. they don't have to watch this thread to get info. they can just look at their discords and see their fans talking about different decks Or twitter or reddit or w/e.
>>56879667Were you rerolling?
>>56879659I only have the promo mankey unfortunatelyDefinitely not spending points on a stankey mankey for now though
