This isn’t even the first time that someone has been impersonated. Last summer after Axel had disappeared for some months someone came claiming to be him saying that he wanted his stuff to be deleted from the archives because he didn’t want to be associated with his old content anymore. The old Archivist almost did it but I quickly pointed out how strange it seemed and that we should probably wait to see if Axel ends up making new content. Archivist ended up not going through with it because of how suspicious it seemed. Later, someone tried to impersonate me when I was requesting a sprite from someone in order to try and fuck up the request so that the artist would have to do extra work.
Holy fucking shit, I don’t even think most people here even remember Axel anymore. I’ve been here for so long.

Its not even a story, its just a few concepts that spawned in my head, I havent had the time to get to it and honestly dont know if I ever will, Im already too busy with a too long of a Touhou fanfic, but what I have is this:

There’s more than one way to design a pokemon character. If a character looks too cool they need something to balance that edge, a trait that grounds them in the Pokemon world. Cynthia is a perfect example: her Lucario ears signal to the player that she owns one, but they don’t spoil her true ace. It’s a magnificent character design.
Personally, I think simple characters get the closest to the essence of Pokemon.

The Book of Revelation is probably the most unhinged Christian document that is still widely accepted by most denominations (unlike the Book of Mormon which is objectively heretical). But if you read the Book of Revelation casually and interpret it as history’s most well known hallucination, it’s actually hella entertaining and the Deus Ex Machina ends up not being one because you were anticipating Yahweh to swoop in and save humanity from the very beginning (Cause who said foreshadowing needs to have plot twists?).
For a more contemporary example, there’s this Netflix series called the Umbrella Academy which went on for four seasons before abruptly ending. It followed seven super powered siblings born of virgins (lol) who continually try to travel back in time to stop the apocalypse from happening. The ending was widely criticized for being very abrupt and the result of an info dump in the second half of the final episode that was basically never hinted at, and the only way to stop the apocalypse was to erase themselves from existence in order to merge divergent timelines.

A "I knew this was going to be the end. I just wanted to live before it". Realize it's actions were a scream in the void all along. And even if nobody listened to it, somebody screamed. And that was enough to prove someone was there.

Correct, thinking about it from time to time made me arrive to that conclusion too, which is why I want to come up with a way to make a less shitty ending. Its not the first time I make a "everyone dies, the end" story, but it would be the first one that DOESNT have a continuation, and as>>58266646 says, the characters must have a very deep development for an ending like that to work, and thats not the case here, hence why Im thinking of having a more traditionally "good" ending.

Is the problem really that bad that you have to pull a Deus Ex Machina? You can simply have a cool battle or sacrifice sequence. Otherwise, I think having Arceus come in and fix shit would require a very dramatic appearance "on stage", a direct proclamation/warning/declaration of intent, and to be written with a moral purpose (see Abraham making his case before God over Sodom, and how the Greek plays handle gods and divine intervention). A very abrupt "it was all a dream" esque ending needs to have an epilogue at least. Like Nuzlocke said, "I believe this is all happening for a reason" and you're the author, so you better have a good reason for writing it the way you do.

Zaku eye, Mecha Sonic, the Psychopomp helmet, and the Mewtwo helmet. One thing about making mechas is that you "technically" don't have to follow the original body. You can make the button hip something like a wide base that connects to a set of 4 spider legs.
Or go to the sci-fi area, and make it like some sort of gravity controller, so it's floating around. The legs can act as an "anchor" so it doesn't flies away.

Anyways, I had an idea for an underground battling league based off of this game called Buckshot Roulette.

It is a three-in-one, it has a Full Restore attached to the bottom, a sprayer for Sleep Powder attached underneath the rotors, and a C4 strapped to the top.
To prevent trainers from attacking each other, they are sealed behind state of the art bulletproof glass. Why is there bulletproof glass in an illegal fighting ring? Perhaps there is something more sinister behind it all...

I mean, if your issue is that it’s not “like Pokemon” enough, you can just do away with all of the non-vanilla items and have them in pickup areas instead where the Pokemon either run over a marker and you are dispensed an item or the Pokemon takes the item directly and uses it. Do away with the underground stuff entirely and just make it its own special league like the Battle Royale. Basically the Rumble mode from Rocket League.

Ex-Team Skull, was a bit lost after they disbanded, started doing luchador shows for the time being. She a competent trainer, ruthless in her own way. Kit is very indecisive, which leads to her just doing what the most confident person in the room tells her to do.

A champion of six regional league conferences, and frontier brain nominee after beating both Battle Frontier. When fighting a region's official champion in a 6v6 battle, he always got to their final Pokemon, even if he didn't always win. A legend almost on par with Leon himself, though he tries to stay humble. Has dozens of Pokemon to his name that he rotates between based on the opponents he expects to fight. Promises to fight Ash when he reaches the summit or becomes a Pokemon master. Ace is either an Eevee, starter, pseduo legendary, or legendary (couldn't decide).

The Masters 8 part was a relatively recent addition. Paul was the initial blueprint as I adored the kind of rival he was to Ash, and worked from there.

They eventually get a little "Cabin in the woods" (shitshack in the middle of nowhere). It's not terribly far from an interstate and nearly at the center of the region, so they can make it anywhere in about a similar amount of time; however, it came with unknown strings attached. Dusk and Dawn grew up in a small town, so being away from the city and unspoken expectations, they found themselves quite comfortable.

She grew up in the countryside of Paldea, but she likes the city nightlife more. Clubbing, bar hopping, watching people make bad decisions...her favorite past time!
