With megas coming, where were the terrorists of pockets 1st year? The problem cards seem to be giratina, and Silvally. Giratina has been meta every single meta and is functionally broken, as it allows every deck to have energy generation and a finisher. Silvally itself makes most non-ex cards irrelevant, as it’s stronger than most of them and is colorless. Part of me wants to list Arceus as its also an unhealthy, it’s a 130dmg 140hp basic that is colorless, and is typically stronger than other options. Like why would you run alolan raichu, ex raichu, etc instead of arceus.

I have not seen a single fucking 2* card in my WPs since the sneak peek event started.

other than drawspam cancer decks where suicune and sylveon are the actual problem cards, giratina has only ever been good with darkrai. lunala/tina was never good, magnezone/tina was never good, and darktinabatceus was just darktina with extra steps.
arceus is strong, but it's never been oppressive. the issue is less "arceus ex is too good" and more "3-energy stage 1 ex cards are all fucking garbage." even if arceus was never made, literally nobody would be running raichu ex, or tinkaton ex, or lycanroc ex, or what have you.
