the drama surrounding the princess crown fan translation makes me want to get back to anki/immersion. what are some good retro games for learning japanese?
>>11356649>drama surrounding the princess crown fan translationLet me guess, someone put a Kamala Harris endorsement into their romhack. Right?
Retro games usually have no Kanji so I personally find them annoying to use as learning tools. I finished Phantasy Star 3 last night and there was a line that confused me because an NPC told me there was a place to go むらのみなみのこみちのはし and since there was a 橋 south of the town I figured they were talking about that but they were talking about an invisible place inside the town at the 端 of the path. Just give me the Kanji man.

Some guy wanting to sell his patreon will say>''Games and anime won't teach you Japanese''Yes, dramatic dialog is not used in everyday life. But it's still a valid entry point. English music being number one worldwide has helped spread the language everywhere.
