This game is definitely ambitious and I wouldn't say it's bad, but compared to other arcade ports from the time it's mediocre.
Also kind of funny that Atari couldn't release their own game on their own console because of Parker Bros

This is a weird one. You play as a farmer ( I guess) and you have to dodge coconuts being thrown at you by a monkey hiding up in a tree. Take three hits and the game is over. yeah, it ain't that great, to be honest, but it looks pretty good for a 2600 game.

I want to upload Space Hawk scores but I keep having the game crash well before I am out of lives. I've never owned a real intellivision, only played it on retroarch via the freeintv core. Anyone know if this game crashes often on real hardware too? Shame if it does, I think it's awesome, way more fun than asteroids IMO. If not then I need some advice on a setup for fixing this.

Just played a few rounds of the 2600 port of Ladybug, which was developed and put out by the fine folks at Champ Games in 2006. Pretty rck solid version if you ask me...

I haven't heard of that and I thought it was a relatively known game, but idk. I can play it on hardware later, any clue on what scores you were hitting or other conditions like that?
Until then, you can try the Space Hawk releases on the Intellivision Lives games.
A more common bit of bug trivia about this game is that it sometimes randomly warps due to the controller's encoding resulting in false button presses, but I don't know which emulators are even capable of recreating the inputs to make that happen and I've yet to see it.

oh so that's what was happening, I had that happen every once in a while in retroarch freeintv and thought it was me not understanding how the numpad emulation worked. I was hitting around 30-40k when the game started halting. I may look into the intellivision lives releases for now, though I have read the DS version has notable flaws despite the effective support for numpad via the touch screen. There's also nintellivision emu for DS, which I may check out, but need time to install. Hope I can play more soon, game is addictive.

Been playing this little hack of Ms. Pac-Man where they made the ghosts and Ms. Pac-man look like vector lines instead of sprites. It pretty much plays the same as the original, but for some reason I can get higher scores on this one.

Cool little homebrew of Space Invaders. One thing I really like about this one is that you can hold down the fire button and just unleash rapid fire shots at the aliens. There's also little cut scenes at the end of each round, which is a neat little touch. All in all, a really cool version of a classic game.

Played on hardware finally, got to 40k a few times and never had anything like a crash or program hang. This was on an original model Intellivision, so minimum executive rom fuckery, which can be another cause of issues.
This is the most extensively I've played this game, and the numpad jank got pretty irritating. If it really is a hardware problem then I feel sorry for the devs. "Black holes" are one thing, but having to frequently reset autofire and other settings felt more like I had a malfunctioning space suit.
Pic was on fastest game speed but easiest control settings: autofire, no inertia, fast turning. Inertia was fun to use on other plays but it simply isn't as good as non-inertia.

This is a neat little game. What you do is that instead of shooting the enemies directly, you have to shoot the ceiling above them so that bricks fall down on them and kill you. Shooting the enemies directly only makes them multiply

The hitboxes are quite generous and the changes from Donkey Kong seemed pretty fresh and interesting for just being a single stage. Reminds me of Pick Axe Pete on Odyssey2.
The story/setting is completely ridiculous as it relates to the actual game behavior. One of the great things about 2600 games is that instead of trying to suspend disbelief beyond sanity, you can just imagine your own story instead.
Black background, strange structure, giant monster that can fly off and come back on the other side like the Twilight Zone gremlin, strange devices that can move over gaps, launch you away, and even reverse gravity? Sounds like an awesome sci-fi rescue mission to me.

Check out this hack of Space Invaders called Pac Invaders. The differences being that it runs on a timer instead of the three lives play mechanic, and the invaders don't go all the ways down to the bottom of the screen. It's pretty cool.

15k gets you the patch. The manual also asks you to send a photo if you hit the max one million points, which a youtube video shows as taking over three hours straight, but doesn't say what you would get if you did send in that score. It would have to be one hell of a patch.
