What are some good megawads for Project Brutality? I feel like the increased enemy projectile speed and super fast fast time to kill in PB make a lot of the monster closet/teleport ambush shit most wads rely on basically impossible without extreme cheesing and savescumming. Like anything that requires you to dance around cyberdemons is way harder in PB because they can kill you in a single volley of missiles that travel way faster than vanilla cyberdemon missiles. I'd rather have HD over BD, and it's been asked numerous times (likely by the dev himself) not to have Deathstrider added. Additionally, removing any mod is against the spirit of these desired updates.
The bigger worry are the descriptions, and if they're not being done by the original creator (pretty sure it was Term) I suggest ditching them altogether. Gives more room for mods, too, though this is dependent on the questionable assumption that everyone is fine using the new graph's direction.

The attachment/detachment and positioning was pretty straightforward. What I remember giving me a ball ache was figuring out the movement and anchoring. Doom geometry is so varied that what should be edge cases become far too common and you'd often get a zipline that makes no sense or has segments get readjusted because of gzdoom logic (fixed that one eventually). For movement, it took a while to figure out that the AngleTo + PitchTo + A_ChangeVelocity combo was far too imprecise and added some sideways movement so I opted for working directly with vectors. Vec3To is king. That solved virtually all problems. As for doing it in ACS/DEC, it sounds semi-doable on paper, but reinventing sector/wall detection accurately is gonna suck. More so because you don't have easy access to vectors. Overall I wouldn't recommend it unless you have an entire day to burn. And good luck making adjustments later without breaking your saves. No way you can get away with not using ACS for this one.

Hello anon, yes that's correct, it also used to be a Pastebin file until five years ago like the making threads one (which was re-upped since their filters put a ton of stuff to private), while a friend from another general made a pull request to the ccd0 4chan X fork for one-click text copying that's more or less standard on those like XT. Other anons I wouldn't know of maintain the rest if they're not abandoned. I will add that the Rentry links stand out as technically the most vulnerable thing unless their editors are active.

Someone else hosting a collection of infographics on a unique website might make it less susceptible to subtle change, albeit still replaceable out of spite, but it's not like this shit has been in good faith at all (and we've already gone through this a few times before).

I didn’t like episode 4 back when it was released, but I’m replaying it now to collect chibis and what else and find it very cozy. I guess the general rebalancing helps greatly with that, back then all the fantasy stuff they wanted you to use during the playthrough was pretty ass, but it is much better now.

However, the entire idea with Hot Potato is that we all pass the .wad around and do all these iterative changes and additions to it, and we're currently up to build 39. I don't think it's useful or productive to tag the newspost with every single iteration we do, it's messy and cluttered.

Rather we should do what we have before, the updated newspost will archive link to the then latest Potato Post in its project tab, and then the post after that should be a copy of the latest Potato from the last thread, to keep the chain going.
At least, I personally think that makes the thread and reply chain much smoother and easier to read.

It would be better under "multiplayer mods". The other TC's its surrounded with have a more nuanced and detailed singleplayer campaign that's not unlike Quake 3 or Unreal Tournament. Even the description and the rewrites that have been posted here put an emphasis on its multiplayer component. If I'm some "Doom noobie" looking for some multiplayer stuff and I trip on this graph, I'm going to stop at the "multiplayer mods" section so you're arguably doing MM8DM a disservice by placing it so far down with dissimilar TCs.

Episode 4 has more severe downsides than just tedious bosses:
-Overabundance of archers to the point that after some time it starts feeling that they are the only enemy you fight in this episode. For some reason, they also have more health than some of the melee enemies.
-Single theme. When it comes to the maps, episodes preceding 4 feature much more variety: cities, snowy mountains, space stations, otherworldly dimensions, alien planets, Egypt, temples, western etc. Episode 4 only has one theme – medieval fantasy. Engineer related locations are so miniscule that I can’t even count them as a theme, moreover, the maps are huge in size. Due to these factors the fatigue from playing this episode builds up pretty quickly and the distinction between the maps blurs.
-Imposition of medieval arsenal via limited supplies and ammo. No matter how much the plot justifies it, it just feels awful to play, some maps are anal about it than the others, the map where you play James is probably the worst one when it comes to it. The crossbow will shoved into every single one of your orifice, at times it feels like it’s the only weapon you use throughout the episode and it’s not particularly fun to shoot. Why even have 11 different characters if they are going to use the same weapons?
It really really is the weakest episode in AMC.

I've done little sector cigarettes and cig packets with lighters, and a sector guitar, with health bonuses standing in for beer. I didn't do the plushie because I wasn't sure of how to make it as a sector object and with the right colors.

You can define it as "thing MT_EXTRAxx : thing 12" which will default anything not defined to whatever the Imp does.
You could also just make a unique XDeath state for that monster which reuses the Imp's frames.
If you want it to always gib, then simply place the "Death" state right above the XDeath one with nothing in between, it will fall through.

Copying the entirety of the imp just to re-use a single state seems rather silly. I know Whacked allows you to directly set a state (set the "Explode" frame to 462), so I thought DecoHack would allow for something similar.
I could use A_JumpRandom because it allows you to jump to any thing's state, not just the one defined in the monster itself (E.G. A_JumpRandom(thing MTF_IMP xdeath, 256).

I always liked the expansions myself. At least the official ones, not a big fan of Juggernaut. The Citadel was mind blowing for me, because it was the first, almost perfect way to combine the expansion contents and it added some content on top of that, that fit very well like allowing the player to use heat seeking missiles that were previously only available for enemies.

I do admit that what comes to powerups, I'm bit hypocritical. I have a gaming laptop (it was cheaper than getting the accompanying furniture and getting a new ethernet port installed in my room), it's got one of the better RTX's, I5 and 4 GB of RAM which means it's kinda weak but since I mostly play retro and the most intensive game I have is Control, which is yet to lag on me, it suits my needs just fine.

I also appreciate being able to move it around when needed.

That's an understatement. I'm playing through Blood for the first time right now and the first episode was absolute CBT. Second episode felt more balanced until the end and now I'm just breezing through episode 3. Nothing can really harm you except cultists but they're almost always just clustered in some room ready to be exploded or shotgunned.
And so far I feel like the quality is dropping along with the difficulty.

Minimal changes because my yellow keycard idea didn't pan out, and I'm out of time. There was an attempt. I added some health bonus bread crumbs, pop-up revenants, a respawning shotgunner in the start, a chaingunner + a glowing effect to a hard-to-see shootable switch, and an exit switch. There are some things with type 14001+ that don't work. Level just needs a yellow keycard to be playable.

Added back a pair of SS troopers by the shoot switch leading to the red key card.
Add land monster blocking linedefs around the central pillar so the nightmare shotgunner can't fall off(make sure you're editing for mbf21, this will be overwritten if not)
Lower one of the revenants that was not properly hidden in the floor.
Brighten the door shown in >>12053389, and change the inside of that door to a red key lock. It closes when entering the hunting rifle room.
Change some aesthetics for the blue skull key and red key card areas.
