Back in the 90s, Sonic strode throughout Europe like a colossus, with petty plumbers walking under his mega-cool high-tops and peep out to find themselves in dishonourable graves.>Virgin BooksIn Robotnik's Laboratoryhttps://warosu.org/vr/thread/12215882>LadybirdAdventure Gamebook 1https://warosu.org/vr/thread/12225519Adventure Gamebook 2https://warosu.org/vr/thread/12232663Adventure Gamebook 3https://warosu.org/vr/thread/12237906Adventure Gamebook 4>>12241886Where's Sonic?>>12253203Where's Sonic Now?>>12257014Joke Book>>12263279>FantailStay Sonic>>12250146Metal City Mayhemhttps://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/97119887https://archive.4plebs.org/tg/thread/97135231Zone Rangers>>>/tg/97164918>>>/tg/97194361Sonic vs Zonik>>>/tg/97207626
Okay, this requires a little context...See, over in the UK annuals (or "yearbooks", in this case) are a whole thing; they were originally something for various comics and short story magazines to publish extra-long stories in time for Christmas. They still come out for Christmas, but now the concept has expanded to movies, TV shows, football clubs... and yes, even video games.
And that's all for today. I'll be back on Boxing Day with more Sonic ephemera, so all that remains is for me to wish you all a merry Christmas!

>>12267452thanks op.
By the way, I thought I'd run this up the flagpole, see who salutes; I've discovered a bunch of tie-in novellas/novels for various /vr/ games, and I thought it might be fun to have a sort of book club, maybe start it in January. Basically, I'd start the thread, post a few chapters every day to give everyone time to read/discuss the story so far. I was thinking of having it be a weekly thing, maybe fortnightly if people prefer to space things out.Either way, I wanted to see what game people wanted to start off with, so I picked out a selectionhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZP7vWiaxw7YGiven how the latest game in the franchise has gotten everyone thirsty af, I thought it'd be fun to look back to where it all began with the novelisation of the first Baldur's Gate as well as the BG2 novels. The reading level is par for any D&D novel i.e. teenagers and above, and there's three of them.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xqf8jID9TsEYes, this had tie-in books. Again, there's three of them, but these were for a younger audience, aimed at kids who were getting confident reading, so they should be the easiest to get throughhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G-i8HYi1QH0Yeah, I had to include this motherfucker. The reading level is somewhere between the two above options. There are four novellas, each one about the length of a Goosbumps book.https://strawpoll.com/QrgewGRaKyp
